Although the food was good , if not a little on the high side but not terrible. However I did leave a bit disappointed. Took my family for my daughter's birthday and made it a point to tell the maitre d. He even made it a point to enter the fact into his reservations computer. Dinner came and went and there was never a move to offer or bring a little something for her. Check came, we paid and left for dessert elsewhere. But really my pet peeve is that when you go to a restaurant and are leaving, someone is there to thank you for your patronage. Maitre d' standing there said nothing. Best place in Rockland County for dining. Listen, this isn't some Chili's or TGIF which Rockland is filled with. Nope! This is walk in and the host knows your name, Vigo knows your favorite drink, the chef walks around and asks for feedback about your servings. I've been coming here since they were in the Nanuet Mall before it's renovation. Their service is impeccable. Sure they have off-days but they know how to make you feel important when they say "dessert is on us" for the long wait. They have another location in Westwood, but it definitely doesn't top Nanuet. If you are looking for a warm & friendly staff, cozy and charming ambiance, clean and professional servers, this is your place. I took my boyfriend there for Father's Day on Saturday, it was my first time visiting this restaurant. The atmosphere was very nice, the place was clean, waitresses friendly. I was not able to adjust the water temperature in the bathroom and it was very hot. I didn't really enjoy my watermelon martini, it tasted like cough medicine. Overall we really enjoyed our meal. Let me start by saying you really should be ignoring some of the pretentious negative reviews around here. You want amazing italian food? Great margherita style pizza? Come here. I love the chicken mamma mia, theres another dish iirc called chicken di tuscany which is also awesome. Basically if it has chicken, its awesome. The steak is also very well prepared. They also serve little garlic knots which i def recommend trying as well! Theyre served along with the bread. The staff are very polite, and professional. The owner, Eddie, is a great guy, I love talking to him when hes there and you can tell he works really hard on the place. I really gotta come back here...its been too long. My wife and I ate here with 2 other couples on Saturday night. Banchetto Feast was not my choice. Not at all. I went along with the flow (glad I did now) but I was not looking forward to coming here. I expected it to be like Olive Garden. I was dead wrong! Very happy to say that the food was delicious. Everything was great. The hot antipasta includes meatballs, eggplant rollatine, fried calamari and stuffed clams. The cold antipasta includes prosciutto, salami, roasted peppers, olives etc. The portions were generous and absolutely delicious. I ordered shrimp fra-diablo, it was awesome! My wife had steak and shrimp (I finished hers, it was amazing!). The inside of the restaurant is really nice. My humble advice to the owners: Change the outside of the restaurant to look like it is not at all a part of the Shops at Nanuet! If the outside looked different I would not have associated Banchetto Feast with Olive Garden and I would have tried BF a long time ago. Better late than never, and I will definitely be coming back here! One last thing....the service was outstanding! We have been eating at Banchetto's since they were in the lower level of the Nanuet Mall. Last night my wife and I along with a close friend went to Banchettos for dinner, as we have been doing about once a month for several years. Lately we have seen specials being advertised and we asked the waiter if there were any specials or a senior menu. Our waiter told us there were no specials and no senior menu, other than the take-out special. So we ordered off the regular dinner menu and ate our meals as usual. When I returned home I found a coupon advertising $11.95 menu all day Monday - Wednesday for Adults 60 and over. The coupon also stated that you had to bring the coupon. Fair, we didn't have the coupon, but the waiter could have told us that there are specials, but you need a coupon. There was no mention of a coupon and we were told there were no specials. VERY DECEPTIVE and disrespectful to their customers. When I went back to the restaurant to express my displeasure, I was again told there were no specials, until I showed the coupon and then I was told "sorry, but you need the coupon to get the special". I am giving them one star, not for the food, but for being deceptive and disrespectful to their customers. A good restaurant that lacks customer appreciation. We won't go back! read more

We took our great friends, who just helped us move today to Banchettos Feast. The food here is awful. I've had lean cuisines better than the food at this restaurant. Our party of four had a few bites from each of our four different entrees, all equally as bad. Breaded chicken looks like it was frozen, the eggplant was soggy, I've had better jar sauces than the vodka sauce. The service was terrible as well, our app and entrees came out back to back after 45 mins of waiting. The management has signs up on the kitchen that prompts the waitstaff to ask how the food is? how's your meat?... (that all customers can see... Tacky!) not one person asked us how our food was. I don't like to complain at a restaurant and ruin the experience for others, so here is my yelp review. I've been wanting to try Bancetto for quite some time because they do have a large following. The new location is clean, spacious and in a great location. Our service was good, not overly friendly or welcoming but nothing to complain about. The food was just okay, we ordered 2 apps and 4 mains, including 2 fish dishes and we all thought that they were just okay and nothing to rave about. Side salad is available with your meal but is at an additional cost so we passed. I had the Oso Buco and unfortunately my portion was very small and had a large piece of fat on it to boot, that immediately went to waste so I wasn't happy with it. I found the prices to be very expensive. Linguine and clam sauce for $22? Our tab for the above mentioned meal (not including tip and with only water to drink) was $107. To much in my book especially with all the other great choices for Italian food in the area. I won't be back anytime soon but I do wish them luck. read more

A lackluster dinner with lackluster service. Should have been worried when we were able to get seats immediately on a Saturday night. We were seated in the side dining room facing the kitchen exit and received minimal service over the course of the night. Only had garlic rolls (which one diner could not eat) and no regular bread. Ordered the short rib pasta which was odd to taste the least. It contained mushrooms which were not mentioned in the description and was oddly sweet. The cream sauce tasted like sour cream and it seemed as though all the components were prepared separately ahead of time and then plated together. Other highlights include the tattered menu, ladies room with the soap dispenser ripped off the wall, trash on the bathroom stall floor, trash can on a stool, and a large number of staff sitting around the front room by the bar. Only reason I'm not rating this lower is the fact that they replaced my disastrous entree with something else for no charge, but overall will not be back. read more

BF has a NEW restaurant located on what will be the new Nanuet Mall campus. The new restaurant in a standalone bldg looks great, and we were eager to revisit to see what's up. Glad we did . the Arthur Ave bread is great. but dont fill up, alot of food's coming,,...BF's fish is always delicious, fresh as can be, perfectly prepared. the veggies are crisp, carefully cut and delicious. the pasta is -- ALWAYS --- perfect. Enjoyed different salads each time. the burgers (even tho this an Italian restaurant) are among best i have ever had. The broccoli rabe - I go wild with that. If you've been to Italy you KNOW you can't get a bad meal in Italy. Same like that at BF. The manager, staff and chefs very obviously take pride in their restaurant. That was the case too in the old mall. So for food - thumbs up. The serving staff is friendly and ATTENTIVE. The proprietor has obviously hand-picked his team. So service - thumbs up. The new restaurant is inviting and friendly, comfortable, not crushed in too tight, and the parking is right there and plenty of it. forgot to mention the dessert - the apricot pears.... unique, amazing, addictive and a real treat! I like the food at this restaurant and was back again this evening. The food was good, service is good. My only complaint was that an instrumental muzak version of Bryan Adam's "Heaven" was going on replay over and over and over. We were there for an hour and a half and it was playing the whole time and still on loop when we left, just that one.... same..... song. It began to feel like some kind of water torture and we hurried up to leave without having coffee. I don't want to hear that song for a very long time. read more

This restaurant has some of the best food around. The service is very good and the wait staff is very aware when the diners need something and come over right away. Also, they are always checking to make sure that the customer is pleased. Had the grilled salmon with roasted potatoes and vegetable. Delicious!! The desserts are to die for and the pasta dishes are well flavored, they give good portions and are beautifully presented. However, if you want fresh, delicious, authentic food made to order by an experienced chef then you should definitely give this place a try.
