We've both came across this place on yelp a few but times never actually came. Yesterday, we were in the area and decided why not. Firstly, they have a lot of parking. Inside is very minimal and clean. Service was good he was by himself so did take a little bit. But as soon as we got the drinks they had good flavor. If we're in the area again we'll come back.

Quaint coffee shop across from Forest Lawn mortuary. Very clean, minimalistic and welcoming. My wife and I needed a change of scenery to get some work done and we decided on Bancone. Staff were friendly and informative. We ordered brunch and drinks. The drinks are very good. My wife got a latte and I got the matcha latte. Both were very good. Only one size is offered. The food was surprisingly good. Good portions and fresh ingredients. For a small coffee shop the presentation was very delightful. We will be returning.

Clean modern cafe with a variety of iced and hot drinks along with food items. Place was packed to the brim with students on laptops. I wasn't the target age group but I still enjoyed myself. Service was friendly. I ordered a mushroom toast and an iced black sesame oat latte and grabbed the only seat left. Entire cafe was as quiet as a library with soft whispering. The toast was covered in cream cheese and a pile of caramelized onions and mushrooms. Also had balsamic vinegar and basil. Came with a side of fries and salad which was an unexpected surprise. Eating crunchy toast surrounded by students being dead silent was a bit awkward but I really loved the flavors. Loved how caramelized they got everything creating a rich flavor. The fries were perfectly crispy and couldn't help but eat them even though I usually avoid fries. Salad had a light vinaigrette and was refreshing. The drink was good but way too sweet for me. I had to toss it halfway through. I will ask next time if I can have less sweetener. Nice place. Recommend if you want a quiet lunch. Free cookie with check-in!

Cute little cafe in Cypress- they have a solid food menu with brunch, Korean food, and some sides. Their drink menu is extensive as well with coffee and non-coffee options. I really enjoyed both the food and drinks that I ordered, and would come back to try more. It's a smaller space so probably not ideal for large groups. I did the check-in offer but they forgot to give me the cookie- not a big deal tho. 4 stars- would come back if I was in the area!

Back again & this time, I got to try their food and OMG let's just say they were so addicting! The truffle french fries were perfect to share & snack on--definitely a favorite! For someone with a low spice tolerance, the kimchi fried rice was still so yummy & rich in flavor. Their omelette also took me by surprise bc it's not only pretty but tasty too ~ For drinks, we wanted to try something new. We heard the hype about the biscoffee and it did not disappoint!! Best to sip on the cup first to taste the cream top! Their strawberry matcha is just as delectable especially mixed for the perfect strawberry-to-matcha ratio :-) It's only my second time here but I'm already in love with their menu and ambiance. Safe to say I'll be making more trips here!

I love this spot! Since my first visit I've been obsessed, and it has definitely become one of my favorite places in OC to get matcha. All the drinks are delicious and the perfect sweetness. Also worth noting is the Black Sesame latte, which I'm sure all black sesame lovers will enjoy.

This neat cafe is my new favorite hidden gem! I love how spacious and minimalist the interior is with the nice oak accents. Would be a cool place to hang out with a small group of friends. I ordered the avocado toast, kimchi fried rice, strawberry matcha latte, and tea tox lemon (hibiscus and lemon). Service was great and food came out quick! The presentation here is EVERYTHING! Everything was plated so nicely, adding to the overall experience and taste Kimchi fried rice was delicious and included spam chunks and a sunny side up egg. Avocado toast was nice and light! Cream cheese in between the avocado and bread was chef's kiss ‍ Last but not least, the drinks were really good! I really enjoyed the matcha latte as the strawberry puree was just perfectly sweet. Meanwhile, the tea tox drink surprised me in a nice way. Very strong since I think there's a ginger shot in there (?) Super glad to have stumbled upon this cafe, and would definitely visit again!

I think Bancone used to be a Korean restaurant, so it's actually a bit bigger than most standard coffee shops nowadays. It's right across the street from Forrest Lawn in a superr quiet plaza. We discovered it a few months ago, and have been twice. It was pretty quiet both times we went, with some foot traffic (mostly people picking things up to go), and a handful of occupied tables inside and outside. It would be a VERY nice place to study/do some work. Both times I got the mushroom toast, and he's had the kimchi fried rice and Bancone omelette. Also had the matcha latte and Americano. All the food is pretty tasty! The mushroom toast is only lightly toasted, so the bread itself is still really soft and light, which to my surprise, I really enjoyed! One recommendation though-- is for the breakfast-like items to have more.. breakfast-like sides? The toast and omelette both came with a side salad and french fries. It was yummy, but just a little early to be eating salad and fries. His Americano was good, but he wished it was stronger. My matcha latte had a dark green film on top, so that's how I know it was actual matcha and not some pre-mixed powder. It was sweeter than I prefer, but that was probably my fault for not asking for easy sweet. Overall, we really enjoy the experience, the environment, and the service! Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

This coffee cafe is easy to find expecially if you are familiar with the City of Cypress; it's across the street from the main entrance of Forest Lawn right on Lincoln Blvd. It's part of a small plaza so there's plenty of parking. The interior is sleek and modern with large windows. While I was there mellow, jazz piano tunes were playing through the speakers. It has a quiet, comfortable vibe. They offer a variety of coffees, teas, and brunch-type foods. I ordered a chocolate croissant from their pastry case along with a hot vanilla latte. I wanted to enjoy it there so was told to sit wherever I wanted and it would be brought to my table. The friendly fellow working here delivered my order within a couple minutes. The vanilla latte had an even blend of vanilla and espresso flavor. It was a bit too hot for my tongue at first but was drinkable within five minutes. The chocolate croissant had plenty of chocolate inside. The warm croissant itself was fresh and buttery but soft and sort of squishy rather than crisp. It was still really good. On a second visit I got a hot hazelnut latte plus a cookie. The latte again took about five minutes to cool enough so I could drink it but had a vibrant, sweet hazelnut flavor which overshadowed the taste of coffee. I really liked it but it might have been too sweet for some folks. The raisin cookie was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I was told their pastry case items are outsourced. This is an excellent spot to grab some great coffee and small bites.

Alright. Back for another review came in last week at 9 when they open for coffee and breakfast come to find out they don't serve food until 9:30 it's bad enough they opened at 9 for a coffee shop but 9:30 for food is annoying so. Sat there and waited and ended up being there for over an hour. Come back today 5/6 and THEYRE CLOSED!!! And a new business has already made its way in. I'm pretty upset given I found this place less than a month ago went twice and now it's gone. No place ever lasts in this location so I'm really hoping the next place will survive. RIP Biscoffee and delish breakfast croissant

Great place to get together to have a bite and drink coffee/tea in this part of town. The standalone building is spacious, and the parking lot is plentiful, making it convenient for larger groups. The service is friendly and quick, ensuring you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The brunch menu is impressive, featuring both classic favorites and some specialty items that showcase Korean cuisine. Everything came out looking pristine and tasted fresh and clean, reflecting the care put into each dish. The inviting atmosphere made it easy for me to enjoy brunch with friends, and I appreciated how well the staff accommodated our group. I will definitely keep this café in my brunch rotation and recommend it to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience in the area. Coffee Thursday ..

We went to Cafe Bancone located in Cypress, CA. This place had a very unique menu with more options than just coffee. The building is very spacious with plenty of seating and a quiet space for studying. The cafe contains plenty of food options that are Korean inspired. Their coffee menu is very limited, but still carries very tasty options. We were definitely excited to see what Bancone had to offer. We ordered an iced Biscoff Latte, a latte style that has become one of Coffee Thursday's favorites! This drink was well made and was described as not the sweetest drink Bancone offers (which is good). The drink is creamy and milky, but infused with a bitter taste that blends with the delicious cookie butter. This location also adds cold foam to their drinks, which is always great for a little hint of sweetness. We also ordered their Einspänner, an iced latte with cold foam. All the sweetness usually comes from the foam, making the latte a less sweetened portion of the drink to perfectly balance the foam. However, the einspänner at Bancone is sweeter than what we are usually used to. It was not a bad taste, but very unexpected. It tasted more like a sweetened latte with cold foam on top. We dined with Kimchi Fried Rice. The plate was delicious and packed with so much flavor. It is a spicy meal, so keep that in mind!!!! This location is worth trying despite not having plenty of coffee options, they still have matcha, smoothies, and other types of drinks. The food is also worth trying! Let us know what you tried!

I really needed this meal and pit stop this day. I was early for an event across the street and needed a quick lunch and a coffee. The katsu was very crispy and tasty and the latte was so sweet and excellent. I'm glad I chose this spot for my quick break.

They have incredible customer service here! I had ordered the black sesame oat milk latte and didn't realize there was a layer of cream that is put on top of the oat milk latte. I am vegan so I asked and offered to pay for a new drink but they just made me another non-dairy drink to replace it (strawberry matcha latte with oat milk). So friendly and nice! I would definitely come back here because their drinks are pretty good. read more

Food here is okay-ish. It seems like better than typical random cafe food but it lacks some finesse. The Einspanner coffee had a strange artificial taste to it so not sure if they use powders or flavorings. The interiors itself look like a slapdash paint job flip situation. Not the best but has plenty of seating if you're looking to get work done. Across the cemetery so a little spooky! read more

The place has a nice coffee spot energy and it is nice and calm while the service is very efficient. The chocolate croissant was very tasty and flaky, which I enjoyed. The real winner for myself was the truffle burrata salad. It's a great portion of food and every bite is delicious. read more

The coffee and Food is amazing. Service was great, they are a small cafe but they serve you. The ambiance is very welcoming, we loved the Disney theme piano music as we were currently on the way to Disney after this. Very family friendly and even though they are situated across the street from the Cemetery, this place really brings up the spirit. Try the tonkatsu (and ask for egg on top / side) it paired amazing with our coffee read more

From photos and reviews, this place looked promising. However, I was simply let down :(. The layout of the brunch spot is nice and minimal. I enjoyed the neutral color scheme. I ordered an einspanner, yuzu sparkling drink, shrimp fried rice and salmon tartine. Einspanner: pretty sweet. typically an einspanner should be bitter because of the hot espresso. it should be slightly sweet because of the foam. however this einspanner was very creamy and sweet that I just couldn't make the distinction between the espresso and the foam. yuzu sparkling: pretty sweet too, couldn't taste the yuzu but it was still refreshing to drink! shrimp fried rice: wasn't as flavorful. All I could taste is onion and fishy shrimp salmon tartine: salmon did not taste as fresh. Bread was not toasted. The dish came with fries which I found was an odd pairing. Fries were a little bland. Service: Pretty okay. Overall, I think there is potential for this brunch spot to improve, but I do not think it is worth coming again for the drinks or food. read more

Simple and clean cafe with plenty of seating. The black sesame oat latte was creamy, not-too-sweet delicious and the cold brew was great without being too bitter. Also ordered the omelette and it came with a portion of arugula salad and some french fries. The long haired guy was nice, recommended the omelette to us. My sister and I decided to come by today and whim and glad we did! I got the biscoff latte with almond milk and my sister got the peach apple tea. Both were heavenly! The spinach danish was amazing, and so soft, the softest danish i've ever had. My sister got the avocado toast which oh my lord was delicious. The arugula side that came with it was fresh and the perfect compliment to the avocado. The barista and owner were so kind and answered any questions we had. Minimalist themed which was, to say, the vibes were vibing! Overall an amazing coffee shop, definitely check it out!! read more

The coffee is great and so are the pastries. What needs to improve is the customer service. I was there today because I needed to complete some work. As soon as I walked in, I said "hello, how are you?" to the male worker and he did not respond to me. I got my coffee and sat outside to answer an important call that lasted 30 minuets. I'm assuming the previous worker finished his shift, and a middle aged woman took over until closing time. I want to believe that the worker simply was confused and thought I was just entering the coffee shop without ordering something from the shop. After about 20 minutes, the worker interrupts my study session and tells me I cannot have any outside drinks in the coffee shop. I tell her "okay cool. I don't have any outside drinks." She didn't believe that I bought the iced americano from their shop and kept saying that's not their cup, etc. I stared at her, knowing I was right. She then gave me a pastry to apologize for her mistake. I want to believe the worker was simply confused, and that I was not racially profiled, being the only Latina in the shop. Not sure if I will return here. I actually really liked this spot. read more

My girlfriend and I a quick stop here and really enjoyed it! We shared the signature Black Sesame Oat Latte and we agreed that for us this was something worth coming for. I will preface that we both really like an occasional taste of Black Sesame so for us it was perfect. We also got the Mushroom Toast and Bancone Omelet. My girlfriend had a high opinion of the Mushroom Toast and I thought the Omelet was great so I guess it worked out pretty well :) The staff were really nice and attentive. I wish I got his name but the ~clerk seemed pretty informed about the menu which helped people like me who always love looking for an insider opinion. He also offered to warm up our Chocolate pastry (forget what it's called) which I really appreciated. Overall it was a nice place to enjoy a quick bite or sit down and study. Like other reviews might say, the Cypress area has tons of other cafes / restaurants etc. but there's something to love about a new (apparently they opened a ~week ago), quiet, and cozy cafe like Bancone. I can't say I'd come often, but I would make it a point to come back here and there which I think means a lot considering the OC area has an abundance of great places to see. read more

I wanted to check out this new cafe. It was easy to find with plenty of parking lot. We ordered omelet and avocado toast. Food did take a while to come out. Presentation was pretty, but everything tasted average. Young male cashier/server wasn't that friendly. It's still a quiet/clean cafe for casual hangout but I wouldn't get out of my way to visit again. read more

Saw this place driving thru city.... ample parking, nice selection of food n drinks (including mimosas). I gave it 3 stars because of my selections (hot tea n americano)...nothing special. I'm sure foods n specialty drinks are more star worthy. The tea used is Rishi (tasty) tea bags (not steeped). Nice outdoor seating with water tray for your animal babies to enjoy. Service was helpful. read more

It works just like any other Build-your-own Poke Bowl spot. Assembly line-style with the employee on one side and you're on the other side of the glass picking out how to dress up your poke bowl. Employees are friendly, prompt, and efficient. Bases are white rice, brown rice, salad, broccoli - the white rice here is pretty solid - moist and fluffy - not dry or old like other spots. You get your choices of up to 6 sides - I picked spicy crabmeat, regular crabmeat, seaweed salad, avocado (first scoop free), mango and pineapple. Choice of protein - pricing based by # of scoops: 2 @ $16, 3 @ $18, 5 @ $21. I got my usual 3x Salmon. The fish here is fresh, does not carry any smell, didn't taste slimy or frozen. Sauces - I went with my usual mix of sesame oil and spicy mayo. Toppings - First scoop of masago is free, and a dash of green onions completed my bowl for me. Everything tasted fresh - and when you consider that what sets the price is the # of scoops of protein - it's a pretty good deal considering the base and everything else is normal serving scoops. Lots of seating both inside the restaurant and in the outdoors dining area. I just took my order back to my hotel. Tons of free parking alongside the food court, near El Torito. The only downside is their "revamped" Rewards system. Based on the previous reviews, it used to be a punch-type system where you get the 10th bowl free. This is how a lot of the other Poke bowl spots I've gone to work. The new system really works against you. You get 1 point for every $14 or so spent - and 24 points gets you $10 off. My medium poke bowl with tax and tip came out to $20.51 - and yes, I only got 1 point. In other words, not only do you not get a free bowl even after buying over double the number of bowls needed to previously get a free bowl, but once you hit 24 points - you only get $10 off. Pretty pathetic, hence the reason I knocked off a star.

I recently visited Bancone and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. We ordered the truffle fries, which turned out to be soggy and undercooked - easily some of the worst fries I've had. The drinks were inconsistent in terms of sweetness. The matcha latte was excessively sweet, while the lavender latte lacked the usual sweetness. This inconsistency made it hard to enjoy the beverages. Additionally, we had to wait half an hour to get our order, which further added to the overall dissatisfaction.
