(FYI, is review is from a month or so ago) It's a new place so I can understand that they probably have a few kinks to work out. Overall, I felt like it was lacking a bit of... finesse. Everyone keeps saying how cute this place is, but it was super bare bones. The omelet was a pretty big let down. $16 for it to taste like something I can make myself at home in 10 mins isn't really worth it in my opinion. The staff told me that the injeolmi bingsoo doesn't actually come with any pieces of injeolmi. It's just sprinkled with the soybean powder... lol what? How is it injeolmi bingsoo then? We decided to just order the mango instead and was pretty disappointed. It's overly sweet because it's doused in a very artificially flavored mango syrup with a couple pieces of mango. The utensils and plating was super cute for the omelet, but the bingsoo came with styrofoam cups and flimsy spoons. I can see the vision for the place, but they need to figure out their concept. Such a cute little cafe tucked away in Cypress. There is lots of seating and they play very quiet music so it can be a great place to study. Their coffee is amazing (5/5) I would highly recommend coming here for their einspanner. It is the perfect amount of sweetness and creaminess. Their food is great, however, its very simple and definitely on the pricier side for being a cafe and not a dining restaurant. The young woman that was at the register was very friendly and Ended up ordering the salmon tartine and strawberry matcha. I was surprised the salmon tartine came with French fries as welll as a small salad with balsamic dressing. It was very light and not heavy, I ended up eating it all (mind you I don't eat French fries lol). The strawberry matcha was delicious- I tried to get as much of strawberry jam that was on bottom. this is my first time at this location. The avocado toast that I ordered was delicious. I had them package mine to go, and they included everything that I needed. The person at the counter who took my order was friendly. They had plenty of seating on the inside, and they have an outside patio with a few tables and chairs as well. They had a nice soft music playing on the inside and it felt peaceful. I will definitely go back again for more avocado toast and maybe try their coffee next time as well. read more

Honestly heartbroken that they are gone. I moved to a new city as a college student and cypress has been a weird place to get to know. But this little place was walking distance from where I live and so many times when I was overwhelmed and stressed with school I would take a walk here or study here and it was the perfectly place. My friend would sleep over and we would come here in the morning. She's studying in England and we were planning so many fun things when she comes home and Bancone was the top of the list. Now there's nothing. I really hope they come back or go to another location. If the owner/manager/etc ever see this, please please come back. We drove up here from Long Beach to try a new place and for the guaranteed ac, and we were not disappointed. We tried the Tox Tea and the Peach Iced Tea, which were refreshing, tasty, and not overly sweet. For food we did the Cajun Chicken Salad and the Katsu. The serving sizes are quite large and everything was fresh and savory. The barista was so friendly from the phone call to check on the ac to the service throughout the two hours we were there. Thank you nice barista guy! Also, do not pass up a chance to try their bingsoo! Food-service-cleanliness-ambiance is 10/10 for my experience. I went in with my friend on a late lunch Sunday 6/23/24. I ordered apple peach ice tea, Cajun chicken salad and spinach croissant. I loved that salad! The saying you get what you pay for..... yes you do! A big plate it definitely was. The crispy chicken was properly cooked and salad presented well. I asked for a different salad dressing since I'm allergic to sesame seeds- the lady serving my food was kind to accommodate with balsamic Vinegarette. It was delicious. I was also impressed with the apple peach ice tea. Simple as it sounds- it was very delicious and refreshing . My croissant was cold since I didn't ask for it to be warmed up. So I just took it home to eat later. My friend got the same salad and drink and a pecan bar to try. She said it was delicious. Anyways, if you haven't stopped by to try this place out, you should. Even though this place is located right across from Forest Lawn, this place is super cute! Love the simple and clean look. My husband and I couldn't decide so we ordered 3 entrees. Lol! We had the Ham and Cheese Croissant, the Katsu, and the Avocado Toast. I love that the croissant on the sandwich was soft and flaky, but also had some sort of honey glazed on top. It complemented the ham really well. My husband also enjoyed how simple the avocado toast was with the ricotta. It was nice to have salad sides for both options, especially nutrient dense salads like arugula salad and spring salad. The katsu was nice and crispy, however, we were stuffed so we had to take it to go. It was still delicious hours laters. As for drinks, my husband couldn't decide between the Oat Black Sesame Latte or Iced Biscoff latte. The Iced Biscoff Latte was good, but he enjoyed the Black Sesame Latte better. I loved my Iced Strawberry Matcha. They also have pastries and goodies available for purchase. There's plenty of seating and space between each table to where it's not claustrophobic. It's ok. The matcha latte is pretty good for a premade matcha(they don't whisk with fresh powder but use premade syrup). I tried all three of their salads but the salmon kind of has a weird odor and they forgot to put tomatoes on it. The chicken breading is pretty hard it scratched the side walls of my mouth. The cheese burrata was really salty and had too much arugula to cheese ratio. Their shrimp quesadilla is ok but they used primarily cheddar(or some yellow cheeze) which I'm not that into. They play the same 5 songs on repeat so if you plan to study here for a long time bring headphones or something. read more

I live just down the street and have been driving past this place for months since it opened, and finally took the time to check it out with a couple of friends. Based on all of the great reviews, we had high hopes. This is a bit long, so for all of you 'TLDR' folks, here's a synopsis: Atmosphere: very minimal and lacking coziness, but clean. Music is at a good level, but it's very echo-y. Chaotic ordering process. Service: lack of knowledge from staff, slow delivery, possibly short staffed, lack of attentiveness. Food: tasty, but cold upon arrival, fresh ingredients. For those who want more details, read on. Atmosphere: fairly minimal and small, but very clean, the latter of which is definitely preferred. Unobtrusive music at a nice volume, but the lack of soft furnishings and décor lend to a lot of echo in the room. The ordering area seems a bit disjointed, with several people milling about near the till, but it wasn't clear who had ordered and who hadn't. A bit of order and streamlining would be helpful in eliminating confusion. Service and food: the young man who took our order was nice enough, but he didn't seem particularly knowledgeable about what was in the food and drinks. One of my friends has some food sensitivities, but couldn't get a clear answer as to ingredients, so she ended up just ordering a warmed croissant. I ordered the mushroom toast, and my other friend ordered a croissant sandwich, which she was told was warmed. The sandwich and mushroom toast arrived about 20 minutes later. The fries were ice cold, and my friend's croissant sandwich was simply a cold sandwich with equally cold fries. Our friend who ordered the croissant was still waiting for it. After another few minutes, I went to the till and waited a few more minutes for someone to come from the back. I enquired about the croissant, he apologized, and said he'd bring it right out. Ten minutes later, he came out with a cold croissant in a bag and gave it to my friend. She asked if it could be warmed, as she'd asked, and if she could have a plate. He took it back to warm it, and brought it back, still in the bag. Food and beverage: the croissant, once my friend finally got it, was flaky and tasty, according to her. The croissant sandwich was made with fresh ingredients and my friend said it tasted good, despite not being warmed, as she'd been led to believe. Her fries were cold and she didn't eat them. My mushroom toast on sourdough was very flavorful, though it was lukewarm. The sourdough was a bit chewy, likely because it had sat for awhile before being delivered to our table. The fries were cold and unappetizing. I ordered the matcha latte, and it was delicious. The balance of matcha and sweetness was good. My friends ordered a vanilla latte and green tea. The vanilla latte was nice, and the green tea had some sort of floral taste that didn't appeal to my friend, the same friend whose croissant had been forgotten. She asked what it was and the young man said he thought it was jasmine. She asked if she could get something without a floral element, and he suggested the mint tea. The mint tea has lavender in it, so that also didn't work. He brought her an Earl Grey, probably one of the more floral teas in existence. He didn't seem to get the concept. She gave up at that point. I might give it another go after they've had some time to get things together, but for now I'll continue to pass by as I've done for the last several months since they opened. read more

this place just opened up near my house and i've been wanting to try it! however, i've never waited so long for a drink at a cafe like how i did here. i came here on a saturday around 11:45 am and i ordered one iced biscoff latte and i got my drink at 12:17 pm so around 30 mins for one drink. i know this place is still new and busy but i think they need to have someone solely working on drinks and another person in the back handling the food instead of one person basically doing both. drink wise, i liked it! i've had my fair share of biscoff lattes and i would say i would rank this like on the upper half of my list. this biscoff latte has a cream top which other coffee shops dont' have which is cool and yummy. i do want to come back and try their other drinks but maybe ill come in the early mornings when there's hopefully less people or call ahead of time if im in a rush read more
