Great food and the owner and staff were super friendly! Chimichurri sauce was amazing. So was the pretzel with a mustard cheese sauce. For anyone looking for Gluten Free, I ordered my Elk and Pork Bratwurst with a salad instead of a bun. With garlic aioli, grilled onions, sweet peppers and fresh tomatoes, the flavors all worked well together. My only negative comment is that the chili fries came with garlic aioli on top. I loved them, but they were supposed to be for my son and he's not a sauce guy. If you aren't either, be sure to order them without. I don't think it was mentioned on the menu. read more

This is exactly what a five star restaurant should consist of. Outstanding service, and even better food to back it up. Their happy hour specials make it an even better spot to hit on a nice evening. And the bacon/Gorgonzola fries and worth coming just for those. Saturday night at 5:30 was busy but tables opened quickly and we didn't have to wait for a place to sit. We were at Deschutes Brewery and this came up as the best spot nearby and it might just be the best place in town! I almost don't have words for how good this place is! The beer list is short but offers something for everyone. We were debating whether or not to order the bacon gorgonzola fries and they were AMAZING! Get them with the onions! We both ordered the bangers and mash with bratwurst and I can't get over how simply perfect they were. The bratwurst was seasoned perfectly and the whipped potatoes with onion gravy was the perfect accompaniment. We can't wait to come back! read more

Visiting from Portland area and obviously you gotta go to a restaurant that has received such high praise when you're on vaycay. Anybody who knocks the service at this place was probably a jerk themselves. Staff was great to us and our kid and supremely helpful in navigating the menu and options. Additionally, they were attentive to our eating experience after we sat down and started eating, super appreciated. Caveat - our party all ordered variations of their bratwursts so if their claim to fame has to do with their exotic meats then we missed out. Toppings on our brats were fresh and flavorful, bread was light, but the brats themselves didn't carry a lot of flavor. I think the dish that really threw us off was the fries that came with Gorgonzola, bacon and garlic aioli. The garlic was waaay too heavy, dish was tough to enjoy as a result and definitely lingered as we ate our brats. I'd go back to venture out on the menu for sure but wouldn't ever order those specific fries again, and would likely take a different approach to the rest of the menu. Good food? Absolutely! Five stars on Yelp food? Nope, just not true. read more

This is a family business that really will do whatever it takes to please their patrons. The various sausages are top notch, and I'm pretty picky. They get the right "snap" to the casing, and the different varieties are filled with yumminess. The toppings are creative and generously portioned. BEWARE: our order of Gorgonzola topped fries was plenty for three of us! And then there's the great beer to wash it all down. They even helped me out with frozen sausages to take home to Hawaii.
