A very pretty place to dine. Nice lights. Comfortable wooden tables. The 10 or so times that I've dined here have mainly been lunch, but I've had a couple of dinners here and the food has always been authentic and tasty Nice family run spot.

Service was good, food was mediocre. You order at the bar area and then find a seat. The lady at the cashier was also the one who served our food and was very nice! Overall food was okay nothing special. Definitely would like to try other items on the menu to see if I like them better. And being in the US, mangos are not the best tasting but gave me the fix I needed.

It really pains me to write this review. Since the early 2000's I have been a customer having my first exposure to Thai food being this location. For years I would go to the lunch buffet, order take away, or have dinners with friends from out of town in need of great food. On 09/27 I placed an order online. Order accepted and headed to the restaurant only to find it was closed. Knock on the door, phone calls...all go unanswered. However, the transaction still showed as pending on my account. Today the cost posted. I was charged for a meal not received and unanswered calls. Should something have happened I understand, but issue a credit for the meal unfulfilled. But to allow a charge process and do nothing about it is unethical and wrong.

I had the pleasure of dining at Bangkok Kitchen, and I have to say, the experience was top-notch. Not only was the food incredible, but the service was exceptional--thanks in large part to the amazing owner, Kat. From the moment you walk in, she makes you feel welcome and ensured that every part of your experience is truly authentic to all things Thai. She is attentive, personable, and clearly passionate about providing a great culinary experience. She also does not sit still since she wears multiple hats. It's rare to see someone so involved in the day-to-day operations, and it really made a difference in how the evening went. The food itself was outstanding--everything from the freshest papaya Salad, perfectly spiced Drunken Noodles, tastiest mango sticky rice, to the surprise pour of whiskey at the end, was absolutely delicious. You can tell she takes pride in her food. The ingredients are fresh with nothing but high quality. It's clear that Kat runs a tight kitchen, and her team's dedication to great service really shone through (Mary the lead bartender and floor manager is amazing). In addition to the amazing food, tasty drinks and exceptional staff, coming here also serves as a Thai 101 class! Each time I visit, I learn something new. (101 Drop) Durian: Was able to see and smell Durian for the first time which is a native fruit to Thailand, however, due to its potency and chemical makeup, one cannot eat Durian if you are drinking alcohol. The fruit smelled POTENT but apparently, it's one of the best tasting fruits! (101 Drop) Learned about "Eleven Tigers Herbal" which is a herbal packet that improves one's digestive system and appetite and assists in all things related to women's reproductive care. Kat ages it in one of her favorite liquors for extra potency. Also, the customers here quite the globetrotters. Being directly across from Fort Meade base, you are easily able to meet people from all over the world which leads to the best conversations. If you're looking for not just amazing food but a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend visiting! The combination of excellent food and an exceptional owner will definitely bring me back! #imofficiallyaregular Karaoke is on Thursday nights!

Bangkok Kitchen is amazing. They were so inviting and awesome service. Amazing flavors and combination of food with drinks was outstanding. I have never experienced anything quite so original. Beautiful ambiance and space for karaoke and dance.

The restaurant itself is not that big, typical mom and pop restaurant. Parking is behind the building. There are two entrances to the restaurant, one on the main street and another behind the building where the parking lot is located. Inside the restaurant you can see alot of the Thai decorations. And the server greeted my husband and I right away once we steps in. Food wasn't bad at all. We ordered a Tom yum soup with chicken, a Green curry with tofu and vegetables, and a Crispy duck. This is the first restaurant that my husband encountered the server asking for the spicy level for the tom yum soup, which was a bit surprising to him. Because normally, it isn't a choice on the level of spicyness. But tbh, I think the soup spicy level is on point, but missing that lemon sour taste though. The green curry was pretty good, except I wish there would be more curry. I feel like enough ingredients but not enough curry when the curry is the main source of the dish. The crispy duck tastes pretty good too. Fairly tender, and very flavorful. But expects alot of chewing from the crunchiness. My husband kept on going at the dish but at the same time complain tired of chewing. Hahaa.

For some reason, I had an insatiable craving for Pad Thai while I was on my way home from work. I decided to order from Bangkok Kitchen as I'm trying to find other Thai restaurants that are closer to home. I placed my order online as my train was getting ready to pull into the station. By the time I arrived at the restaurant, my food was ready. Bangkok Kitchen is located in a little strip mall that looks kind of sketch. The parking can be found behind the building and there's an entrance to the restaurant at the back as well. As for my Pad Thai, I found that different places make it differently. Some add tofu, others don't. Some add bean sprouts, others don't. This is the place that adds bean sprouts and tofu to their Pad Thai and I could've done without both. That is just something to keep in mind for the future. Also, the shrimp were a little overcooked. Aside from that, my Pad Thai was good and flavorful. From other reviews, it appears their drunken noodles are a hit. Drunken noodles is my favorite Thai dish and I'll have to try it next time. The service was okay I guess. I didn't have much interaction with the staff besides giving my name and receiving my food.

    Drunken noodles and beef!

Never disappointed when eating here. I've had Thai food all over the world, but this is my favorite place to eat Thai food in Maryland.

Complete rip off & waste of money, it was like I had scraps thrown together and sent out to delivery. And they forgot my thai tea!

Good service and food isn't bad but it is not authentic. If you want real Thai food, don't go here.

This is my third visit to Thai at Waugh Chapel within 2 weeks. Keep in mind it is a 30 minute drive…read morefrom my home (1 hour there and back) and I didn't mind one bit. I must say each visit was FANTASTIC!! With every one getting better than the last. For some reason it is so difficult to find good Pad Thai in Baltimore. Not here though. The have MASTERED the recipe. It wasn't dry with noodles sticking together like most places. It is honestly one of the best Pad Thai's I have ever had. The only complaint I do have is that I paid extra to have shrimp added to my chicken Pad Thai and was only given 3 shrimp! That is definitely an issue. If a customer is willing to pay extra for something please make it worth it. I also do not like the fact that they use brown paper boxes for to go containers/orders. Other than that, everything else was FANTASTIC. The Pad Cellophane was a nice surprise and different from what you typically find at Thai restaurants. The clear cellophane noodles, huge chunks of chicken and cherry tomatoes offering a juicy pop of brightness with each bite is dream worthy. I also love a good Pad See Eew. And again, they got it right. Not too dry and very flavorful. Everything I had on every visit was..."Chef's Kiss." Even down to their desserts. I am not a big sweets person and typically do not order desserts when I go out to eat. But reading the description of each one I just couldn't resist. And yes, they won me over! The Mango Parfait was absolutely delicious. Mango and sweet sticky rice combined with Mango ice cream...simply divine. The Lycee Cheesecake was a pleasant surprise. I forget the name of the other dessert I had, but it was another Mango flavored one and yes, that too was very good. All in all I will definitely return when I am craving good Thai food. I will happily take that one hour round trip ride to get it. If you are in the area or don't mind taking a ride I would definitely recommend you give them a try if you are craving some authentic, delicious Thai food. You will not regret it!!

I must've felt the same way multiple times visiting this location…read more This is now my second review and second trip to Thai, and my last review is pretty accurate - this is a good SOLID 4-star restaurant. It's been nearly 2-years since I had been last, and the slight language barrier that I previously mentioned, I would say is still the same. But that curry, might've been better the second time. "ABCD-eliocious" as my family and I say! The only reason this spot did not give 5-stars is because their wings, are the type of big, fat wings, and I don't personally like those. Like hormone/something injected fed-wings are how I would describe how they tasted. Flavorful, but fake. BUT THAT CURRY...... 1000000% need that again!

Updated Review: 7/2/26…read more I really wanted to give Thai at Laurel another chance, but unfortunately this visit confirmed why my previous review still stands. I arrived around 5:45 PM, just in time for happy hour, and took a seat at the bar (self-seating). The restaurant was very quiet--there was only one party of four, one table of two, and no one else at the bar when I arrived. Happy Hour Order: * Bangkok Wings - $8 * White Peach Martini - $9 * Curry Puffs - $8 Total: $26.77 The service was disappointing from the start. My bartender seemed impatient and in a rush, despite the restaurant not being busy. After taking my order, she never checked on me again--not once. Thankfully, another staff member stepped in several times to ask if I needed anything, and her attentiveness didn't go unnoticed. Ironically, I didn't even cash out with my original bartender because she was nowhere to be found. The food was hit or miss. The Bangkok wings were overcooked, with several pieces dried out and lacking an even coating of sauce. The curry puffs had good flavor, but the texture wasn't for me, so I couldn't finish them. The standout was the cucumber dipping sauce--it was fresh, flavorful, and easily the best part of the appetizer. The biggest letdown was the White Peach Martini. I was initially served a White Peach Margarita by mistake. After I pointed it out, the bartender remade it, but I watched the entire process and it was obvious the drink wasn't prepared properly. There wasn't a full pour of the liquor--it was mostly syrup and juice. I took one sip and left it untouched. At that point, I didn't have the energy to send it back again or argue over how it should have been made. What makes this visit even more disappointing is that this wasn't my first negative experience here. I came back hoping things had improved, but they hadn't. Consistency matters, and this restaurant has consistently fallen short for me in both service and quality. I'll gladly make the drive to Columbia when I'm craving Thai food from now on. I genuinely wanted to support my local Thai restaurant, but after giving it multiple chances, I can't justify coming back. I wish Thai at Laurel the best, but they've unfortunately lost me as a customer.
