Woke up hungover after a night of heavy drinking. Typed in "cheapest noodles in OC" and this place was the first to pop up. After perusing through their menu and pictures, I noticed a photo of their homemade shrimp cracker, which caught my eye, so I had to check it out. **Pro Tip: They have a Happy Hour every day from 2pm-5pm offering 10% and each meal comes with a free canned soda ** I arrived exactly at 2 PM to find an empty dining room and ordered the House Special Egg Noodles (Mì Đặc Biệt). This dish typically comes in a broth, so if you're not in the mood for a soupy meal, be sure to ask for it "dry." I opted for the dry version because I wanted something different. I noticed that the wontons are prepared differently when you order them dry: they are deep-fried to make them crispy, while the soup version features boiled wontons. The dry option was served with a special sauce and a side of broth. The dish satisfied all my cravings, with a mix of seafood, BBQ pork, crispy wontons, and a giant shrimp cracker on top. I'm not entirely sure if I'm doing this right, but I once saw an elderly gentleman mix some satay and broth into his dish to create a sauce. Ever since then, I've enjoyed my dry noodles that way. The store itself wasn't particularly impressive in appearance, but that didn't matter because I was so focused on the meal. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive; she even turned on the portable air conditioning and made sure the airflow was directed towards me. They were enjoying their lunch at the other end of the room, which made me feel like I was part of a family meal. Overall, the meal was incredibly satisfying and fulfilled all of my cravings. They even provided me with a stamp card that offers a free meal after I purchase ten meals. The restaurant has only been open for a year and is a low-key spot that deserves more attention. I highly encourage others to check it out!

Super great noodles. Best Hu Tieu I've had. Tastes homemade. Hope they have more visits! Plaza is a bit hidden but next to the popular other noodles place.

My colleagues and I decided to stop by for a quick meal and luckily they were able to accommodate our large party even though it is a small business. They also offer yelp reservations that are super helpful when you're on a time crunch. The waitress who served us was super friendly and offered each of us a free can of soda. My coworker and I split a bowl of egg noodles with bbq pork and wonton and it was the perfect amount without feeling too overstuffed afterwards. The broth was super flavorful and light and the noodles were cooked to perfection! Would definitely stop by again!

Dry egg noodles with bbq pork and shrimp. Portion is pretty small for $13. You can definitely get much more for $1-2 more at other places.

Decided to check this place out due to the positive reviews and my craving for egg noodles. I ordered the special dry egg noodles with the bbq pork and shrimp. I had to wait about 30 minutes for my dish which was a bit surprising since the ingredients are pretty much just assembled together and I assume the cook time is not that long. I didn't really other customers waiting for their food since they were already at their tables with food. The restaurant has less than 10 tables, but it's pretty disorganized. The portion of food is a bit less and not as flavorful. The soup is pretty bland too. On a positive note, you do get a free can of soda. I wouldn't really come back here since there are much better options for egg noodles in the nearby area. I think I'll stick to Grandpa's Kitchen Grill Bar 168 as their portions, flavor, and organization is much better. Parking can be a bit dicey due to the small amount available. Please be wary of the multiple 5 star reviews from people with only one review lol.

Found a hidden gem , becoming one of my place for egg noodle . I love it and the service is excellent The restaurant is clean and good enough parking space

Service was great! The worker quickly sat us down and took our order as soon as we were ready. :) we also got free sodas! That was super nice of them! We got their wont egg noodle soup and hu tieu dac biet. Both were delicious. The broth is very light but also well seasoned. They're also very generous with their portions and also gave us complimentary appetizer too! :) The place itself was generally very clean and nice, chill music playing. Perfect for a relaxing meal!

I was surprised when I pulled up to this place and it was in the same exact location as another egg noodle restaurant that I loved (owa mi gia ky) & has permanently closed. I think they may have rebranded or switched to new owners but either way the quality and taste is still the same! Highly reccommend the Mi Sup Dac Biet or Hu Tieu Nam Vang. Both were absolute flavortown!! The lady working was also super sweet and our food came out quickly. They have a daily happy hour from 2-5 PM with 10% off and free soda.

Best Vietnamese Dry Noodles in OC. Parking lot is small, caddy corner to Trieu Chau. Doesn't look like they get enough foot traffic because of the location, but this is my #1 frequented spot when I'm craving that flavor. You can ask for more sauce if you grew up eating too salty. Add the vinegar soaked jalapenos, and sauteed chilis into the sauce for an extra flavor bomb. Try this spot out, you won't regret it. Currently has a free soda promo to try to bring in more customers too.

    I ate all of it.

I happened to be in area. Just wanted something quick. Turned out getting Togo for 2 families. Total of 12 bowls. Yes it's that good!!!! I must say "Yummy!!!!" It is!! Very tasty and great service. I made 1 tiny comment bout the restaurant. They quickly please my requested. Unlike others would just ignore it. A+++++++++++++++++++++

That was the worst experience ever. Service was terrible. Tables weren't cleaned and it took us forever to get our food. There was a group of 5 that came before us and they asked to pay for their drinks so they can leave because the food was taking too long. I heard the server tell the group of 5 they ran out of one of the meats so they kept saying sorry for the wait. When our food came out it was missing the meat they ran out and they didn't bother to say anything to us. I ended up not saying anything because my kids were hungry. So we just ate and left, but I was pretty upset about the whole situation. Probably will not be coming back.

I rarely leave reviews, but this place surprised me! Tried them for dinner to-go, the food was great, bean sprouts fresh, and soup not too salty. My family enjoyed it too, and they even gave us 4 free sodas. Definitely coming back!

Massive parking lot so that was easy, one friend went ahead and let them know we had 10 incoming. They made room and we sat immediately. One of the spots that you scan a menu at the table and you review, order and pay all in the app. I was really not familiar with the line up and went with the "House Special Beef Pot Roodle" (Roodles are their rice noodles). It was a weekend only item and I tried that. The noodles came separate from the soup. Over all it was very tasty. The meat was a bit fatty and the soup had tendons too. I took that part home and my wife loved it. I tend to avoid the fatty meat and tendons are not good to me. 10 of us so some of the appetizers got passed around. The smashed cucumbers are excellent, and my buddy also got some friend potatoes of sorts, reminded me of a fat French fry. Because my buddy and I sat at the same table we scanned the same menu, he ordered a bunch of stuff and also House Special Beef Pot Roodle. That confused the kitchen and they asked me if I meant to order 2, I said no and didn't realize I cancelled my buddy's order. Part of the confusion of a large party and many scanned menu orders. My buddy was struggling to order and our initial waiter seemed to not understand my friend and that took a little bit to work out, young lady came from the back and was able to quickly resolve some of the confusion and get questions answered as needed. In the end he had lot of food to explore. One thing that caught my eye was several couples there and sharing a large soup item served with a tray of various food items for the soup. Kind of a date night visual and something that looked very interesting. Several couples around us had that same dish and its got me more curious. Might have to come back with my wife and try this one.

I ordered their most popular dish, the A1 set, but honestly, it didn't really live up to the hype for me. The broth tasted pretty underseasoned overall. From what I understood, you're supposed to mix all the toppings into the soup with the noodles, but even after doing that, I still felt like the flavor was lacking. Yes, they provide seasoning on the side, but personally, I wish the broth already had enough flavor on its own without needing to adjust it myself. Would I come back? Probably not. Nothing really stood out to me enough to return, and it felt more like a one-time experience. Overall, everything was just okay.

The restaurant itself is a bit on the small side so you'll be close to your neighbors not that it was an issue personally. My buddy and I ordered our items and shared with each other for a good full experience. We got the three-in-one noodles medium heat and the Ma Hu Beef noodles with mild heat alongside the cucumbers with medium heat as an appetizer. Cucumbers were very fresh! However, they really were just cucumbers with a little heat on them so they weren't anything too special. Once the main entrees came in, I couldn't stop myself from digging in! I forgot to take a picture until after some damage was done to our meals. Three-in-one was so flavorful and sweet with the noodles becoming incredibly soft after having mixed it all together. The star of the show for me though was the Ma Hu Beef noodles. The beef was remarkably tender and delicious and the noodles had a firmer texture that complimented with the flavors. Oddly enough, the mild heat on the Ma Hu Beef was spicier than the medium heat three-in-one! If you find yourself in the mood for Biangbiang noodles, this is definitely the spot to go to. On a side unrelated note about the parking which did not influence my review; the parking here is rough. It's consistently packed so watch out for that. There is a structure across the street that allows parking for the food court. I parked in the structure but I had a bad experience because since it's also parking for the residents above, the gate was closed on us after 8pm. I had to wait for a vehicle to come out and open the gate for not only just me but for multiple other people that had also parked in the structure!Just something to keep in mind. Hopefully that doesn't continue being an issue for future guests.

I wasn't a fan of the traditional hand pulled noodle soup but the big plate chicken with noodle dish was pretty good. Hue Kitchen got a glow up and I'm here for your girl…read more The menu covers all the Hue classics. Here, you can customize your bún bò huế with whatever your heart desires. They even offer tongue which I've never ever seen on a menu before except at my mama's house. I ordered just a regular bowl of bún bò huế. They give you so much meat, it's insane. Moreover, they include broth bones where there are still tiny morsels of meat still attached. As of it wasn't already giving my mama's house, you can also find nước mắm on the tables where you can concoct a whole dipping situation. Ten. What really sold me was #23 - tôm chua đu đủ Đặc biệt. It's so simple - fermented shrimp, pork belly, herbs, and some rice. This is my favorite comfort dish. The combination of papaya/shrimp, pork belly, herbs along with a bite of rice is the most perfect bite. Again, I've never ever seen this dish offered at a restaurant so I was absolutely beside myself. Not only do they serve this dish here, you can buy a jar of the tôm chua to go. Okay, bookmark this place and come tomorrow.

Randomly decided to try this place with the wife last night…read more I remembered there being a spot called mogu mogu here prior and confirmed with the waitress that it's the same menu! Spicy miso ramen: 9/10 Actually one of the better ramens I've had lately. The broth is creamier and isn't overpowering with chicken/beef flavor. The chashu was nice and tender as well. I really liked that their noodles were al dente and not too soft Deluxe mazemen: 8/10 Taking my first bite, I was instantly greeted with an explosion of umami. There's a LOT of flavor packed in this bowl and the noodles used are actually a bit thicker which is right up my alley. My only drawback on this dish was that I wished it came with some sort of veggies to cut through all the flavor. They also give you a small serving of rice at the end for you to mix into the bottom which was a nice addition Kurobota sausage: 7.5/10 We've recently been on a kurobota craze. Don't get me wrong, these were great but we've only had them charred and grilled before so I was taken aback when I saw that these were only steamed. Flavor was spot on but I'm a sucker for a nice char or crisp to my meat Overall, loved the service and small restaurant vibe of this spot. We were seated very quickly and the food came out even faster. Definitely come try this spot, I know we'll be back

Never had Mazemen before which is basically broth-less ramen with various of toppings. We were on…read morethe way to Kitakata, but after finding this place on Yelp, we had to check out the hype. The interior is cozy and small with authentic Japanese decorations/setup. Kinda felt like we were eating in Kyoto or something, lol. The lady who served us was friendly and gave us good recommendations. I think she was handling the whole operation to be honest. To start it off, we ordered their specialty chicken karaage and it was very delicious. It has a nice crispy and crunchy texture. The batter on the chicken was good and once you bite it, the meat is juicy and tender. Doesn't really need dipping since it's so good. As for the Mazemen, we ordered the Deluxe and Veggie one, both is a 5/5. Very flavorful and it tastes just like ramen, but without the soup. The presentation of the dish looks like a work of art. Very picture pretty. I ate that shit up within ten minutes. After that they give you a scoop of rice so you can mix it up with the leftover sauce. Lots of umami for sure. Definitely will come back again to try the other flavors. People, trust me and come through!
