This was our 2nd adventure at a Schlotzsky's, 1st was the store at San Marcos outlets.... it was gross and trashy but the food was good. This store was a 100% better nice and clean even the restroom was clean! We walked in and were greeted right away by staff and took our order, they did not have the spicy bread for the Spicy sandwich but they were able to sub the jalapeno bread for it. Within a few minutes we received our order and told to enjoy by the man who brought out our food! the sandwiches were hot and the veggies were fresh! my Deluxe Original had so much meat on it I had to give some to my wife! We also ordered some of the tomato basil soup, which my wife loved! All in all the sandwiches were great, soup delicous, the establiment was clean, and the staff was very nice!. I really like Schlotzsky's. It's a good place to eat when you're tired of the fried chicken and hamburger thing. My go to sandwich is the original sandwich, ham, salami and cheese on a sourdough bun. It's pretty tasty. The medium size sandwich could easily feed two average size people. Today I also tried the California chicken and avocado flatbread, it will also feed two people and it was delicious also. I'll definitely order that again. I think Schlotzsky's is a good choice if you're looking for a fast food alternative. read more

My original was fine; but they made my wife's Tuscan ciabatta with what clearly looked and tasted like ham, instead of the normal turkey. They said other customers had been saying the same thing. She even asked to see the package, and it was labeled as turkey; but if multiple customers are complaining, wouldn't you want to verify and remedy the situation rather than continuing to serve the wrong thing? Guadalupe in the drive thru again for the win ! ! Fantastic ! Got my order correct, extra sauces, drinks were on point and once again, his attitude was GREAT ! So friendly. Can he just get his own franchise already Mr. Schlotzskys ?! You need to make this happen. Friendly, fast service. Excellent food. Have had the pastas, sandwiches, chips, pizza and French dip. The French dip is smaller than we thought but very good on a pretzel bun. And the bun is soft so that's a good thing. LOVE LOVE LOVE their sourdough bread!! Always have. The owner is very much involved in this locations day to day so that makes for so much better service. He was the cashier who hates his job. He needs to find his smile and it would also help if he washed up a little before work. This guy is about the rudest person I've ever tried to give money to. Unacceptable! Ordered and paid online yesterday at lunch time, went to pick up in drive-thru, was told to come inside to pick up order. Got out of drive-thru lane and went to door but was waved away by employee at door. Told him that I was directed at the drive thru to come inside to pick up the order, and he still shook his head, waved me away. So, we go back to the drive thru and we are told again to come inside. We explained that we went to the door and the employee would not let us inside. The voice on the speaker said the door is open, just come in. This time, the food is finally picked up but the offending employee is lurking nearby. He doesn't physically stop the pickup but he definitely is not being helpful either. There were no apologies from anyone at this location during all of this effort. Also, our food was wrong. Salad was supposed to be without the turkey but turkey was added anyway. Terrible. I ordered the Southwest chicken salad. Received my order, no roasted corn or black beans. The whole reason I order the salad. I ordered a gluten free cheese pizza for my son with autism, no allergy just a dietary preference. Employee: no we don't carry that crust. Me: you have it advertised on your menu, you should remove it. Took my salad back to complain about the no corn or beans, they said they didn't carry the beans and corn. One of the perks of living in Texas is the abundance of Schlotzsky's locations. They are hard to find elsewhere. But I learned quickly that not all locations are created equal. After trying several locations in the area, this one is now my favorite. It's the cleanest and friendliest. Plus, they always make my original in a way that doesn't leave the bread soggy--a problem at other locations. I have the Schlotzsky's app on my phone. Came here for lunch with my mom. Pulled up to a rather dingy looking building, probably all original. I decide okay well I'm here so I go in. I order the smoked turkey SW with swill plain. The woman behind the register was extremely slow, she would keep asking me a question about my order right after I would repeat my entire order for her. Not the best person to have in the front during a lunch hour. Anyway finally got through that and sat down at one of the tables, which was sticky (gross) at that point I just wiped it down for me and my mom and sat. Food came out for both of us, the sand which was actually good, cooked throughout, I know that's a low bar to clear but it doesn't always happen at these sandwhich places. The cheese was also fresh and had no off Taste, and they gave plenty of meat. We left and decided we will drive to one more closer to the house rather than work. Ordered online on oct. 31st. I get a call telling me that they are closed and they will void the charge. On Nov. 2nd the charge still went through on my bank account. I called only to be told that the charge was voided, and I need to wait a couple of days to get a refund. On Nov. 10th I still had not received a refund. I called the manager who's name is Yong Kim or Kim Yong (apologies if I spelt it wrong), only to be told that it was voided and they didn't charge me. I explained to him that there was a charge on my bank account and that they did indeed charge me, he simply said no and that it was voided and I need to call my bank. Why should I have to call my bank, when they are the ones who charged me??!?! Again, he said it was voided and there was no charge. How is there no charge, when quite obviously there is a $30 charge from Schlotzkys on the 31st on my bank statement?!? Absolutely disappointed!! He didn't offer any solution, no store credit, no saying come pick up your order (he literally read me my order and told me the total, but still insisted that it was voided and no charge was made), no refund and no solution to this problem. Absolutely worst manager I have dealt with, at least when there is a problem, other people or managers, offer a solution. read more

Loved the food, what they bottomed out on is a customer centered experience. Called twice earlier to place a rewards order, was denied, the app wouldn't accept their reward code, spent half hour trying, the counter employee Guadalupe, was discouraging. They tried every way too keep me away from this store for good. And it worked!
