I have never experienced poor service at this place. You walk in and can order from one of the machines; once you pay, they start working on your sandwich right away. The bread is made fresh daily, and you can genuinely taste the freshness, which pairs really well with the sandwich. My go-to order at any banh mi spot is a combo. They have some seating inside and a small area outside, but usually, people grab and go. I also really enjoy the Vietnamese coffee here; I think it has a hint of hazelnut creamer. If you are ever in the Portola district, check out this banh mi place.

I've been wanting a good Bahn Mi since arriving is SF, and I found this location that's en route to the SFO Airport. There is only street parking, and inside are two tables with two seats at each of them. The only parking is street-parking, unless you want to risk parking at the Bank across the street. Inside the restaurant you can either order from the employee, or use one of their tablets. PRO-TIP: If you pay with cash, you don't have to pay any additional taxes. The tablet is pretty easy to navigate, and my order was ready in about 7-10 minutes. I ordered the Pork Belly Bahn Mi -- along with the Shrimp Spring Rolls. In the restaurant, you can clearly see them baking their fresh, and making the Spring Rolls and Bahn Mi in front of you. My Bahn Mi was filled -- but seeing some reviews saying they're "stuffed"? Not my experience. I do like that they are not shy with the jalapeños and patě, though! The Shrimp Spring Rolls are served with a side sauce; at first I thought it may have been peanut-based, but the taste is not peanut-forward. The major taste of the sauce is tamarind, which was a welcome surprise. All in all, if you don't want to buy food in the airport and having a craving for Viet Cuisine while cruising San Bruno Ave. -- stop by for a tasty sandwich!

where else can you eat a banh mi and gamble at the same time?! quirky fun. grab a scratcher from machine or cashier and scratch before/after (or while) you eat. they bake their own banh mi bread rolls! how did I not realize that before. they have this tall oven in the back (behind their counter) that gets filled with lots of trays of dough and comes out as the roll you know for your sandwiches. wow! I guess im amused because i never watched this in real time until one day i was sitting on the small table eating a pork banh mi and watching them do their thing. that glorious oven doing its thing theyre available to order on doordash as and come pick it up in person or delivery. i always get pick up and the app always shows 30 mins out, sometimes pushing the time out further than quoted, but the app seems to be inaccurate because it's always been ready much earlier than quoted. lemongrass grilled pork sandwich is good. super casual, only 2 small tables. most people grab food and go. most people who sit there use the tables for the ca scratchers because there's scratcher dust on them sometimes you gotta wait for a while for someone to come to the counter. just one hardworking person manning the front so be patient

Located in mini Chinatown in the south of SF. They're known for having the freshest banh mi in the bay and they do live up to that hype. Their baguette is all fresh made each day which you can see them make through the window and their toppings in the banh mi are all balanced with ingredients. Their sugarcane drink is really refreshing and sweet but not overly sweet. My favorite are the fried egg and the crispy pork roast (forgot picture) just because most banh mi places don't generally have that and I think it's like a fusion item between Chinese and Vietnamese items. Their bread is crispy but soft, unlike other places where it'll be too hard to bite into and cut the insides of your mouth. Service is quick. Their shop is pretty small so don't expect to eat inside, since there's only two tables and two chairs per small table. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area and craving a banh mi.

Had an urge for a good crusty banh mi so went my go-to spot! It was busy but didn't have to wait long to order and get my sandwich. There are two indoor tables but it's too cramped to really eat inside. Took my banh mi to eat while driving back to work. Mistake: the bread was so crusty that my car is a mess. Need to vacuum it out. Anyways, sandwich was the Combo #1, lots of pate, cold cuts, and crispy veggies. Tons of flavor- .

We picked up some plain bread rolls from this place when we visited SF recently. I believe they made the bread onsite and the price is reasonable for San Francisco. The rolls were big and pretty good. I like that the breads were not crumbly. The only thing is they don't have private parking similar to most stores in SF so you have to find street parking around.

Incredibly moist and delicious Banh mi tofu, nice combo deal of a sandwich and drink for $13

Super cute. Tons of options. Good value. It was smaller than I expected not sure if the "factory" is on site or somewhere else ‍ I think it's cool they have meal deals for sandwich+drink or multiple sandwiches. Bread was fresh and serving sizes were solid. Bonus points for having Vietnamese egg coffees They have little kiosks to order with if you're feeling antisocial which is always a plus for me though the staff was nice and imediately fixed my drink mistake.

Ordered through Uber Eats for pick up. Got the lemongrass pork banh mi and a combination banh mi. Total was about $22. Bread is good with a nice crunch. Although I did crisp it up a bit in my air fryer when I got home. Unfortunately the lemongrass pork was a bit dry. Some pate would have helped to add some moisture. The combination tasted better as it had pate in it. San Francisco is seriously lacking in the banh mi world.

Tried Banh Mi & Rolls for the first time and it seriously hit the spot. I got the veggie banh mi and the lemongrass pork--both were loaded with flavor. The veggie one was crisp and fresh, and the lemongrass pork was tender, juicy, and packed with that savory-sweet lemongrass kick. We also had the Thai matcha green tea and an iced coffee. The matcha was creamy and just the right amount of sweet, and the iced coffee was bold and super smooth. Totally worth the caffeine overload. Great prices, fast service, freshly made rolls, large portions, and everything tasted super fresh. A casual ambiance with 2-3 chairs. Definitely adding this to my regular lunch rotation!

If youre into vietnamese coffee this is not your spot. It straight up taste like americano and some half and half. Didn't know what, source of milk they had in it but certainly did had the runs. The female that works there is rude and unprofessional. The crispy pork sandwich smelled a little bad. Won't recommend this spot.

COFFEE: 7/10 (Iced Vanilla Latte) SERVICE: 8/10 AMBIANCE: 9/10 COFFEE: 7/10 I ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte with Oatmilk and thought it was quite watered down. I was not quite a fan of the oatmilk that they used, as it left an interesting aftertaste. I do appreciate how they rotate quality beans and take care in their brewing process, but I just felt my drink could have been stronger and less watered down. I also felt that for the price I paid, the size of the cup was quite small. SERVICE: 8/10 The staff here is friendly and welcoming. They seem genuinely knowledgeable and take time to make your drink right, even when the line gets a little long on weekend mornings. The overall vibe from the team adds to the neighborhood charm. AMBIANCE: 9/10 I love the artwork here. There is so much to look at from left to right and all sides of the cafe. It adds a nice touch to the vibes. The space itself is cozy and bright with cool decor and art, giving it a lively yet relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Seating a bit limited, but there is more seating outside.
