    Garlic noods + veggie broth
    Sheila P.

Used to come here more often a decade ago and recently went again. As a vegetarian who prefers small portions, I always love to just get a bowl of their veggie broth and a bowl of their garlic noods. Paired with the lemon and chilies, the broth is literally perfect on a cold day when you just need something hot. I requested their noods to be extra crispy pan fried, and they did not disappoint. So yummy! Inside there is plenty of space to sit down and eat. The gentleman that has always taken my order always makes sure everything is to my liking, and brought out at a reasonable time. Parking outside can be a bit challenging but I was able to find a space right out front after circling around for about fifteen minutes. Reminded me why I don't come here often, but once in a while it's ok! :)

Order: Five spice chicken garlic noodles: best in the city? The butter, garlic, chewiness of the noodles make this a go to place. Chicken breaded to perfection, skin falls off the juicy meat. Five spice chicken pho: underrated, broth is hot. Lots of noodles. Sriracha and hoisin is offered at each table!! Lots of tables for dine in and servers greeted us right away. There is an open kitchen where you can peek in when you're dining in, place is well lit. Restaurant is busy with lots of take out. Parking is difficult in the area due to all the restaurants.

A go-to spot for lunch or dinner in the Sunset. Usually not super busy and can get a seat. For the price, portions are heaping and food is delicious. My favorites are the charbroiled pork with garlic noodles, but the five-spice chicken is also excellent. Overall: 4.6/5

If there's one thing I love to eat, it's garlic noodles, and this place has more than plenty! The real question is to what meat I would like to pair the garlic noodles with. I ended up with the Vietnamese curry chicken. Having the noodles combined with the curry is a game changer!

Oh my gosh..... One of the best affordable, generously portioned Asian garlic noodle places right on Irving street! Don't sleep on this Vietnamese cozy restaurant! (Honestly sleep on their pho though, you go here just for their vermicelli bowls or garlic noodles!) I'm glad I gave Perilla a second chance after the letdown Pho experience, the staff here was just as welcoming as my first experience! They're all so lovely kind and will answer any questions you may have. Here's what I got for the second time around: Charbroiled bbq pork garlic noodles Comes with a side of imperial rolls for the ultimate crunch, paired with the sweetness of the pork, umami garlic buttery goodness from the noodles all mesh together so well! Very very filling portion for two for sure :)

First time at Perilla and liked the meal. I got the veggie pho and I liked the light broth with fresh ingredients. The grilled pork plate with imperial rolls and garlic noodles was pretty good. The garlic noodles were tasty and enjoyed the crispy imperial rolls. Prices are pretty reasonable for all dishes. Very friendly and nice service. They're welcoming to all customers.

Good under the radar Vietnamese place in the sunset for a great price! We were by the beach and decided to come by for a quick dinner. They're super known for their garlic noodle so obviously had to get their with imperial roll and marinated pork. It was delicious and order came really quick. The portion was also huge! Would come back to try their pho.

This chicken plate was a top meal for me the entire week I was in SF. It was so juicy and perfectly cooked. That is all.

Quick and friendly service! We were served shortly after ordering and the waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu! I got the beef & imperial roll w garlic noodles and the noodles were delicious! The beef was also super tender and flavorful. I loved how crispy the imperial rolls were too. It's a huge portion of noodles and not that much beef though. But that was fine w me since I love carbs! They had plenty of space inside when we came in for an early dinner on a Sunday. Would recommend for a casual dinner in the area!

I'm glad I discovered this neighborhood gem! The service was top notch. The man taking orders was super attentive and took my order and served tea right away, I was impressed. The garlic noodles are a must try! I ordered them with five spice chicken. I can tell they have perfected their menu, the meal was great. This is the spot for good Vietnamese food! I would def come back to try another dish, maybe some pho

My second visit here and still love their food and service. There were only two of us this time and we ordered one bowl of 5 spice chicken pho and an order of Imperial rolls. The servings were generous and we had more than enough to eat with leftovers for another meal. The pho came with a side of basil, bean sprouts, and lemon although they're not pictured. They automatically brought us two empty bowls and a couple of plates for us to share. Service was friendly, efficient, and attentive. Our tea cups were refilled several times. Definitely will be back!

To escape the heat of South Bay we drove up to SF for the day. We originally wanted to hit up an uber popular place down the street but saw the hideously long line. We walked by here and looked up the reviews. Unfortunately for us, we got here right when the first batch of lunchers started eating. Smallish restaurant. Paper waitlist. We waited about 15-20 mins. High chairs offered, plastic bowl with utensils provided for the kiddo. Many different variations with different combos. I ordered the rice plate as I wasn't sure if the Kiddo would like the strong garlic noodles. I was right - the garlic noodles were too strong for her. Sizes are decent. if you are a hungry person I would order something extra. We felt the noodles were Luke- warm and the rice was slightly undercooked. Imperial rolls were the star. We also ordered a small bowl of broth for the kid. She liked it but it was so salty. One bathroom in the back - It is basically in their kitchen. Plenty of street parking.

Second time here! Food was at a decent price. I got the five spice chicken and garlic noodles. It comes with a side of fish sauce and a piece of broccoli. The chicken didn't have much flavor but it was still really good and the skin was crispy. I realllyyy liked the garlic noodles here and maybe ill just get a huge bowl of that next time. I think my plate was 15 dollars which isnt bad for the amount you get. The staff were really friendly and food came quick. I came on a sunday at 2pm and it was hard to find parking but the place wasnt too packed and plenty of table. This place is cute and i really like this resturant.

Glad we came earlier in the evening. The decor in the restaurant was beautiful! Loved the bamboo chandeliers. Our host was really nice. We told him that since it's our anniversary that we will go all the way and order the Phozilla!!! We also ordered peach green tea lemonade. As we waited, one of the server handed us a Lychee Coconut Freeze, a complimentary drink to help celebrate our anniversary. That was really sweet of them. This drink tastes like a dessert. Yummy!!! Wow, when our Phozilla came, it is huge! The lobster, beef rib, bone marrow, filet mignon and brisket was beautifully arranged in this big round bowl. Bowl is big enough to feed 4 people. We started with filling our bowl with the soup and noodle. The beef broth was flavorful with the green onions and cilantro. Next the rib was full of meat and tender. The lobster was cooked perfectly, sweet and delicious. Then dip made with butter and sweet chili elevated your taste buds. The bone marrow was savory and velvety in texture. The filet mignon melt in your mouth and the brisket was tasty and tender. It was a lot, but we devoured all the stuffings except the noodles. We had a lot of noodles left. It was just too much noodle for 2 people. Overall this was the ultimate meal. We loved it and enjoyed our dinner. The lychee at the end cleansed our palette and we left the place satisfied. This is our second time and we will be back!

This older man walks around very ambitious with his little credit card terminal ready to charge anyone who is anyone. He gives no receipt. He is the owner and the waiter. But he does not give any service and just expects tip. All he does is walk around and collect money & does the very minimum. I've given this place multiple chances over the years, but unfortunately each experience has been uncomfortable in one way or another. The first time was around 2022. My family and I arrived about 30 minutes before closing, and the owner told us he would still serve us. After seating us, though, he immediately pressured us to order quickly and told us we had to eat fast because they were closing. I was with my elderly relatives too so just turn us away? If that was the case, it would've been better to simply not seat us. Don't be greedy just bc you want a few bucks. Another time, my husband called to order Hanoi-style pho to go, and the owner responded with unnecessary attitude, saying that's the only kind they serve. LOL, ok. The interaction felt rude for no reason. Most recently, we came on Mother's Day. The dishwasher/staff member was also unfriendly. The bun cha was decent according to my mom, and my husband said the beef stew noodle dish was okay, but my pho lacked flavor entirely. I wasn't expecting it to compare to pho in Vietnam or even San Jose, but it tasted very bland so I didn't finish it. The service from the owner continues to be the biggest issue. When we paid, he stood over us while I counted cash, so I felt pressure to count fast and add tip quickly. He left then came back a few seconds later then quickly grabbed the money without even asking whether I needed change and disappeared faster than the wind. The whole interaction felt awkward and pushy. He has a very strange personality. He's honestly very sleazy and has bad energy After several experiences like this, we won't be returning.

I can confidently say that Yummy Yummy has the best pho I've found in San Francisco to date. I found this place by coincidence after moving to the inner sunset. The Inner Sunset is a hub for great Vietnamese food but Yummy Yummy was a name that was thrown around in the conversation as one of the better places to get pho. And it does not dissapoint. Since finding it, my girlfriend and I have been here numerous times and it has been awesome every time. I've so far tried several noodle soup dishes (Pho, Bun Bo hue, peanut noodles soup, mi hoahn thahn) and everything has been great. Their appetizers and non soup based food are also excellent. They also have an extensive vegetarian menu which many places do not. On top of the quality food, service here is exceptional and friendly. So glad I can finally say I have a favorite pho spot in SF.
