We came on a weekend night and were seated immediately and ordered spring rolls + garlic noodle plates. The food came out so so fast. Soo good! I the crispy skin of the 5 spice chicken and rolls over vermicelli. Honestly I think I can eat this every week and be a happier person. This restaurant is on Irving and has a welcoming sit down and enjoy feel. Service was excellent, my tea served in a mug ( much easier than the typical teacup) and regularly topped up without having to hunt down a server. Also had the shrimp and beef rolls as appetizers. The peanut dipping sauce was yummy. To escape the heat of South Bay we drove up to SF for the day. We originally wanted to hit up an uber popular place down the street but saw the hideously long line. High chairs offered, plastic bowl with utensils provided for the kiddo. Many different variations with different combos. The Meats were in decent condition and tasted good but the broth was lackluster. Definitely needed a lot of doctoring and even then something was missing a little bit. Not disappointed though, just not my preference. * Garlic Noodles - The quantity for a side of Garlic Noodles was pretty generous. Taste wise (according to my girlfriend) they were good but not anything of note / exceptional * Fresh Rolls - I actually liked these a good amount. They were extremely light and refreshing. This may not be for you if you are looking for a heavier appetizer (my girlfriend didn't care for these as much) All in all, Perilla serves some decent Vietnamese food but I think there are some better options, especially for Pho, in the area.
