They mixed up my off-menu request and gave me five-spice chicken instead of lemongrass, and the chicken flavor completely overpowered the sandwich. I ordered a Thai iced tea, and this has to be one of the worst Thai teas I've ever had. It lacked everything. It did not taste like Thai tea, I can't even begin to figure out what it was, but it was not worth paying for let alone drinking. The grilled pork banh mi was calling my name. I really wish that it hadn't. Allegedly they make their sandwiches traditionally, but I could not taste the pate. It is slightly sweet marinated pork with crunchy shredded carrot, jalapeño, veggies on a toasted soft bun. As for the boba drinks, they're good, but not my first choice of place to get drinks. I got the lychee milk tea and mango milk tea one time, but they tasted almost identical. Best Banh Mi I've had in SF. I am use to the quality of Wesminister (Little Saigon) banh mis and this place doesn't miss. I ordered the lemon grass beef banh mi and it was absolutely delicious. The aromas had me salivating. Biting into the flavors are prominent with the perfect texture of sinking your teeth in with a crunch of fermented veggies and jalapeños.
