A shocking surprise. I ordered these tacos on Uber Eats and they arrived in perfect condition and the temperature was on par. The flavors were immaculate and the size and quantity was also really great. This location will be my new taco spot whenever I am in town and I highly recommend.

Such an excellent spot in the Virginia Highlands! Service spot on and everything we ate was delicious. It's a fun and lively spot and country music - my fave - was playing in the background. Note the Mac & cheese taco is on the website but not on the menu but you can get it if you ask.

I love Bar.bacoa! I'm sure they know me well as I order from here very often on Uber Eats! Some of my favorites are all of the tacos! Just amazing! The spanish potatoes, beef quesadillas, & the blackened shrimp tostada. The steak salad is so flavorful & tasty! Then my gawd, the dessert! The Chocolate Oblivion Truffle Tart is just to die for! Honestly you can't go wrong with anything here. They know what the heck they're doing in the kitchen!

Really great menu. We got the queso and it was devine! Lots of fun options and quaint outdoor seating. The vibe of the restaurant is very cute. Perfect for a date night or girls night out. The service was really great as well. On the pricier end. Would go back to try some of their other items!

My brother and our group of friends came here for lunch today to escape the heat from walking around the Virginia Highlands arts festival. It was a first visit for all of us. The entrance has a nice bar area plus there is indoor and outdoor dining towards the back of the restaurant. We chose a table inside for a break from the heat. Everyone was super friendly and efficient. The menu had a great selection of food to please everyone and featured tapas for sharing as well as traditional main dishes. In addition they had four brunch specials served from noon until 4pm. Our group ordered a variety of items including the blackened shrimp tostada, the pork carnitas, the Peruvian chicken tacos in both corn tortillas and in lettuce wraps. We also ordered the mimosas and vinho verde white wine from Portugal. For dessert we ordered the tres leches cake and the churros. We finished with coffee. Food and service were outstanding! My one quibble was the lack of any vegan coffee creamer. They didn't have any oat milk or almond milk just traditional creamer or milk. I love this place and it's convenient to my office so I'm excited to come back and dine here again after work!

I have been wanting to try Bar.bacoa for a while now. Unfortunately, I did not have a great first impression. Our server was kind of rude and pretty much ignored us most of the meal. After he delivered our entrees, he didn't even say one word to us again (even when delivering the bill). The food itself was really good, and I definitely will try it again at some point. Loved the Mexican corn!! The biggest issue I had during the night was that we ordered a non-alcoholic (virgin) margarita, and she was served a strong margarita full of tequila. Luckily, she was just taking a break from drinking and does not have an issue with alcohol. But as sobriety becomes a larger part of our society, restaurants need to treat non alcoholic requests the same way as food allergies. Some people can have major issues with alcohol, and if they took a sip of that margarita they could fall to a rabbit hole. Our server never apologized and did not even address the issue. He just seemed confused. I hope Bar.bacoa can take requests like this more seriously in the future. Because I know some people who are sober and could have major issues if they were given that margarita.

While in Atlanta, two of my friends and I went to Bar.bacoa for a nice dinner since we hadn't seen each other in months. The restaurant is pretty small, so make sure you do reservations if possible. The ambiance is pretty cozy though. The menu had many options. I tried the octopus, carne asada, and calamari. All of the dishes were great. They all received a 5/5. The drinks were strong too, and I only needed one to liven up. All in all, I would recommend Bar.bacoa. The food was great.

Perfect crunch and seasoning Octopus: great char and flavor String beans: wasn't sure what to expect when brought to the table but I was thoroughly impressed. A dope ambiance and a dope vibe! The place looks just like most other Eclipse facilities so just…read morekeep that in mind. This one is new and it's off the belt line and it's in a really good spot though. That's the selling point of it all. As you know if you're coming on the Beltline, you gotta worry about parking so you can kinda get it how you like it. There are plenty of spots to go to if you want to go ahead and do a lot or find some neighborhood parking . With this new Eclipse you can sit inside and check out the views or you can sit outside and just sit under the fans and people-watch. That could probably be the best option just because you're right on the belt line so you get a good view of everything but if it's too hot then that's going to be an issue lol . We just went for drinks just to stop off before we went elsewhere along the Beltline because everything is very walkable. It's easy to go ahead and duck in and off of the Beltline so this will be a good spot but I've been to eclipse plenty of times elsewhere and I know that the food is solid no matter what you're doing. I can't say that I would go back there to eat because I've already eaten there and I know what I like and I know what to expect but if you haven't been the food is actually really good. I started off with a spicy margarita. It got me where I needed to be. That's the important part LOL. Service was really good. It was really crowded when we went and we were just trying to catch a vibe before we started off the Beltline. They made a space for us at the sitting area, right where the door was, so we can actually be indoors and still see outdoors. That was really nice of them. Service was great. Can't complain about that. This looks like a smaller one but at the same time it's still built into the belt line so it actually wins because of location. Other ones have larger dance floors that you can dance at, I guess, so it's a different story. This one still has its own charm. Overall it is what you expect from an eclipse so it's not like I'm telling you anything that you don't know because I'm assuming you've been to at least one of them before. This one is the newest one and it is in a perfect area so if you are ducking in and off of the belt line, this would be a good spot to go ahead and grab some papas bravas and a margarita.

The ambiance is classy while not being stuffy, with business casual dress code. All of the staff were welcoming and kind to us, from the hostess to our waitress to the food runners. We shared several tapas: paella verduras, Pulpo parrilla (grilled octopus), Pan con tomate, empanadas with beef, Calamares fritos (calamari) , Espárragos (asparagus), and Patatas bravas. Everything was absolutely delicious! One of my favorite items of the night was the bread with tomato (pan con tomate)! The bread was toasted perfectly and came with garlic and grated tomato to spread on it, along with a sprinkling of greens. My typical favorite at Spanish restaurants (patatas bravas) was done very well here too, with the right crunch and tasty sauces. The perfectly tender octopus came with a side of beans that I wished to ask for the recipe for because they were seasoned so nicely! The calamari was breaded lightly which allowed the natural flavors to shine. The beef empanadas were juicy and crisp. The asparagus was cooked to perfection. The Christmas pop-up just began and we were there right soon after they opened their doors ob Tuesday night. If going here doesn't get you in the Christmas festivities mood I don't know what will. The place is over-decorated and that is the point. It is all things Christmas and is warm, comfortable, and an overload for the senses. Lights, decorations, artwork, Christmas movies on their big screen, Christmas music on their speakers all contribute to a fun, lively environment. And, of course, there is also a Christmas-themed drink and tapas menu. Drinks are served in various Christmas glasses and mugs, all of which you can buy to take home if you'd like. They also have a seasonal line-up of craft beer. My wife had a Christmapolitan and I had the Yippie Ki Yay, both were delicious and packed a punch. For food we ordered: Donner & Blitzen (charcuterie board) - simple, yet great tasting meats & veggies Frosty Fries (fries w/warm beer cheese) - even though this was a good amount of fries, we had wished that we ordered two of these because they were that incredibly tasty. The beer cheese is killer with these hand-cut parmesan fries! Felix Navidad (brisket tacos) - these were flavorful, but they were only two small tacos for $11; for the money, I would definitely get something else next time. Gingerbread & Friends (cookies) - we got these for dessert, but would suggest a pass on them as they are just store-bought little cookies that you can ice and add sprinkles. All the entertainment is right there in front of you. You're just steps away from the belt line. If you like to people watch, this is for you! They have outdoor seating. A fire pit. Local spots that has live music and you can tend to hear from the patio. This is by far one of my favorite spots in the Ponce area. Let's start with the service. The service is absolutely amazing. I've never had an issue here. Got my food promptly. Always been helpful when conflicted on food options. The service here is 10 out of 10. Phemonenal customer Service, make you feel welcome. Feels like a small community of people, everyone I encoutered were super sweet from servers to bartenders. Treated me like family and I love establishments like that you can get my money ANY day! I'd like to highlight someone special: Alyssa is truly exceptional. She served as my bartender on my latest visit, and I can't say enough good things about her. I look forward to coming in whenever she's working. She's genuine, fun, and her positive energy is a gem. Turning to the cuisine, I have visited the establishment before, and the food is truly exceptional. Two standout appetizers are the Gambas al Ajillo and the garlic-forward, succulent shrimp; the accompanying bread is full of flavor and serves as an excellent introduction to the meal. The Patatas Bravas also deserve special mention--the garlic aioli, chef kiss. As a pescatarian, which is evident in many of my reviews, I cannot comment on the meat options. Nevertheless, there is a noteworthy selection of vegan and gluten-free dishes available. I sampled the Spanish grilled cheese with truffle and garlic aioli--being a fan of garlic, the generous use here was particularly appealing. This reinterpretation of a childhood favorite significantly elevated the dish. Another highlight was the scallops. Although the dish included corn (which I generally avoid), I found it delicious, nonetheless. The scallops were cooked to perfection and infused with rich flavors. The chef demonstrates considerable expertise in crafting these recipes, and I have no complaints regarding my dining experience. Now, a few of my favorite drinks--though everyone might not share the same tastes. When I visit a Spanish-style restaurant, I have my go-to options. One of my favorites is the passionfruit margarita; it's so delicious, it feels like you're on an island. Of course, my all-time favorite is the strawberry margarita--so good and flavorful. It has just the right balance of not too much lime, with a subtle hint of mint--who knew we needed that? Another top pick is the 'Dragon on Vacation.' I usually avoid spicy drinks, so I had the habanero removed, but it's still the perfect blend of dragon fruit flavor in a margarita--so good. I also love a good Paloma; I appreciate its little kick. Overall, I have no complaints about these drinks!

There was always someone yelling over another and we had to continuously ask someone to repeat themselves. They do half off bottles of wine on Wednesdays and that might've been the one thing I enjoyed. As for the food, it was also subpar. I ordered the CRISPY PIMENTON CHICKEN which was essentially a fried chicken with hot honey sauce and that was enjoyable. The caprese salad was good but my tomato's were a bit mushy. I also enjoyed a few of the potatoes brava as well but they weren't anything spectacular. My friends said the steak tasted burnt and needed less charring.
