Accompanied with naan. Papri chaat 5/5. Vibrant and flavorful. Enjoyed the presentation. It was delicious. Mint lemonade 5/5. Was served chilled. Had to wait a few mins for the ice to melt and then it was absolutely refreshing to gulp it down. Service was on point. Easy parking. Really nice and attentive staff. The Butter Chicken was my overall favorite dish though I do wish they put more chicken in there. We also ordered the Mix Grill Platter which I wouldn't recommend. All the meats were dry for some reason. The naan and the paratha were on point and the Mango Lassi was yummy. Wasn't a huge fan of the desserts. We ordered the halvah (a bit bland and flavorless), the kheer (rice pudding...powdery and chalky though the flavor was nice), and the gulab jamun (donuts, but they were way too soft for my taste). Was a bit hit & miss on the dishes overall, but there were enough yummy things to warrant a trip back to give it another try. Went here for the first time. We ordered plain beef nihari, lakhnawi kabab and tawa chicken for the main course. The beef nihari was super good 10/10 The lakhnawi kabab was very soft and delicious 10/10 The tawa chicken was tasty too 9/10 We ordered beef khausay for appetizer and aaloo bun kabab both weren't good especially the khausay (they only serve khausay on Wednesdays) 4/10 The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and cozy they had a nice seating arrangement. It was somewhat amusing when my cousin suggested going to DDK Kabob & Grill for Chinese food .... To be more specific this is Pakistani Chinese Food which I would argue is the best type of Chinese food in the world, with apologies to my Chinese friends and also to Panda Express which is our good old American Chinese food. So we went here for Chinese food and it was quite delicious. They do Pakistani Chinese food justice. The stand out was chicken with chilies, they had a sauced version and a dry version and our table got both along with chow mein, chicken fried rice and a few other staples. Since it is called DDK KABOB & grill we decided to order one plate of bihari boti to try and that too was quite good. The service was also nice. The owner was there on this eve when we visited she was quite active in keeping things well orchestrated. I had pictures of the food at one point but sadly it appears I deleted them so take my word for it that the food looked as good as it tasted, or see other yelper's pics :). On a side note they also have the fancy low tables where you take your shoes off and semi sit on the floor if that floats your boat. I'm always craving Indian food even when I'm on vacation. Found myself having a craving for biriyani so I looked up places near where I was staying. This Pakistanian place has nihari which I love but decided to keep it light since I didn't want leftovers. The young lady that answered the phone was very nice and pleasant when I called to place my order. The restaurant is nice inside with many families dining in. The goat biriyani was delicious! Warning for the spicy sensitive people, this does pack a bit of a kick to it. The rice was perfectly spicy for me and the meat tender and flavorful. The portion was perfect and left me full with a little snack for later. Craving satisfied! I went here by myself and was hungry in the mood for meat and rice. I like the atmosphere, plenty of booths, tables for big parties, and even a more traditional area where you sit on the floor (rugs) and eat at small tables. The staff was friendly, my server was great and even the other server working there came by to check on me. And the manager stopped by to make sure I liked my food. The food was delicious! My only issue was I can't handle spicy food and asked for mild spicy, but they asked if I wanted the food washed (no spice) and I said mild was fine. But I should have gone with the washed option because it ended up giving me stomach trouble. I also ordered a dish that had jalapenos in it, and my server warned me about how spicy everything was but apparently I can't handle spicy food at all, even though it tasted amazing. I ordered the mixed grill and added a goat leg. This was good, especially the chicken. I had 2 orders of yakhni soup, which I loved. It's a pure broth and they give you a little lime slice to squeeze in it and it was so good. I had something called Alu Palak which is boiled potatoes with a tasty spinach gravy. This is the one that had jalapenos. It is an awesome dish! Also ordered some white rice with cumin seeds. Had hot green tea to drink which came out perfect. So, a great meal with lots of leftovers because the mixed grill is too much for one person. I had to throw out the leftovers though because it was too spicy. Next time I will definitely ask for the food to be not spicy at all, and if I do order the Alu Palak (it was so good) again I'll pick out the jalapenos. Also will get a smaller dish than the mixed grill, probably one of the chicken dishes because they have tasty chicken here. We came here to celebrate Fathers Day with the family. The restaurant is newly refurbished with bright colors and beautiful decor. They had a bouquet of flowers on every table and everything was so elegantly organized and displayed! The staff was so kind and quick to tend to our needs. I'm so glad I tried DDK! We ordered waaay too much but are happy to have the delicious leftovers. The taste is delicious and the portions are generous. 1. goat chips - 4 huge goat chops. They were double the size of the typical goat chop and delicious! I really appreciated them wrapping the bone in foil so that my hands didn't get dirty. Delicious and $14.95is an excellent price for this quality and size. 2. Mixed grill -was delicious. It was four different types of beef and chicken kebabs and each one was unique, tender, and extremely flavorful. I am usually disappointed and kebabs because they are dry but every single bite was great. Worth the money at $15.95. 3. Highway Chicken Karahi - was a different flavor than the typical Karahi chicken. It had a more intense flavor and less gravy. It didn't have the gingery flavor I'm accustomed to but there is ginger on the side if you want to add it. Unique dish. 4. Nihari with bone marrow (Nali). Add some fresh ginger and a squeeze of lime and it's sublime. We also had garlic naan and salad which were both on point. Come eat here. No need to go to Agas for goat chops anymore. The service was 5 star and the place is very clean with a nice ambience. A place you can bring a date. The staff was very knowledgeable and they weren't even Desi. They knew every dish in and out and explained the items to us. The owner is an exceptionally lovely person. He is eager to deliver the best experience that he can and was very kind and friendly. I live just across Hwy 6 from this location and never gave a thought to try this restaurant. Finally decided to order some takeout and after reading through the menu and the yelp page I decided to try the Highway Chicken and Beef Alu Qeema. Both were so delicious and perfectly spicy that I'm already craving more. I will definitely be ordering regularly and recommend this place if you are craving some tasty food. Houston/Sugar Land has some of the best Pakistani food in the country, though one giant restaurant dominates the market. DDK should be a first choice for those interested in a family-style, family-run restaurant with quality and freshness that will rival any other. This place reminds us why restaurants are so important after that effen COVID stole so much from our communities and cultures. DDK smells like hunger as soon as you walk in. There is traditional seating at the front, tables and booths everywhere else, all decorated elegantly with fresh flowers. They've updated with QR-code menus and individually-wrapped utensils, but the staff is still circulating constantly as a team and call-buttons at each table add to the efficiency. The menu is familiar to South Asians; others may require some explanation. The "staff" - consisting of the owner, her family and friends of family - can patiently walk you through it as needed. They circled back to us several times to clarify our order, give us the chance to tamp down (or crank up) the heat, and make suggestions for companion items (all of which added so much to the overall meal). They care, have passion about the food and your experience, and make you feel like family. We wish we lived closer. The food is nothing short of amazing. We ordered 1/10th of what sounded good, and 10x too much. The mixed grill platter is the lazy way to sample many popular chicken and beef dishes, though you should definitely go deeper to individual entrees. You can get your beef nehari with or without goat brains, but don't skimp on the bone marrow broth. It will change your life. Spinach alu palak is a rainbow of subtle spice that doesn't overwhelm the fresh spinach and cubed potatoes. Salad is fresh and abundant, the hummus is creamy and addictive, the nan piping hot and dabbed with fresh buttered garlic (or nothing at all if you prefer). Dahi bara dumplings are pure comfort again livened with fresh herbs. Everyone ordered the frozen mint lemonade so we did too and thank god - quenches whatever put your mouth on fire and tastes just like springtime. Really appreciated that. Let's get onto the good stuff! Chicken Makhni- 4.5/5 This wasn't the typical chicken makhani that I'm used too, I think it wasn't as sweet as the others I've tried. Puri paratha was thick enough to be used for commercial construction (dry wall perhap).Aloo palak had way too much oil (Perhaps a rough necks delight). The chicken tikka was introduced to masala and heat; they did not seem to get along. Spoke with the manager and to their credit they have offered to make up for it. I've passed this restaurant so many times going to the gym or my random Kroger runs. It always smells so great outside. It was a midweek Kroger run, it was late and we hadn't eaten anything and decided to try this place out. As we walk in, to the left is a floor seating area (which looks very comfy, casual family style). Table for two, the waitress seats us in a booth. QR codes as menus and the great thing is that there is a call button when you are ready to order. We ask for water, she leaves us with an entire pitcher. Hummus and butter naan for an appetizer. Oh. My. Goodness... best hummus that I've ever had. Hands down... I could eat just that. They had my favorite dish on the menu, so I order butter chicken with regular naan and we also ordered the mixed grilled dish with bismati rice. Everything was so delicious. I was recommended to try the Chinese here and had read a few reviews. I was super excited but highly disappointed as the food had barely any flavor. We started with Chicken Corn Soup, which was bland and had no salt or egg and lacked corn. We followed with Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp Lo Mein, and Chicken and Chillies Gravy. The Fried Rice were really good and the highlight of the meal. The Chow Mein lacked flavor and seasoning but the Shrimp within actually very good. The Chicken and Chillies gravy was watery and had zero flavor. The portion size was good but the prices are pretty high and the service was subpar. For a restaurant that wasn't busy at all for lunch, we only got asked once when we were done how things were. I was honest and was told they'd let the kitchen know. Asked for the bill and still waiting 10 minutes into someone checking us out. With being a big city, I am sure there are better options available. I ordered indo Chinese dish korean shrimp , it is a gravy based chicken and i always order that and it always comes with a side of plain white rice the server didnt gave me any rice upon asking * it doest come with rice . I'm going to make this short and sweet because I don't feel like giving the restaurant more of my energy. Just Check your bill closely if you eat here!!!!!! No matter what, they automatically add TIP on top of the bill and tax on top of that !! This is unheard of. After leaving the restaurant, we checked yelp to see why nobody mentioned this and was able to see there was old reviews going back to 2015 stating the same thing I'm stating here. I'm just so surprised more people are not saying it in the more recent reviews and give it 4 stars . I'm sorry that people or the owner think it's ok based on culture you can't do this to your customers and at the very least you need to state it somewhere on your menu or store front if you are in the practice of adding automatic tip to even a party of two!! Anyway I've written more than I wanted to but I did want to take the time out to WARN others if you consider going here. Food was nothing to write home about. They charge for every little thing and white rice at $3.95 is quite steep. Only great thing is I will give A+ to the waitress who took our order, and thus the ONE STAR. Really great Beef Bihari and other mixed grill items. I haven't tried the other food here but their Beef Bihari alone is great. The chicken that comes with the mixed grill entree is very flavorful and not dry at all. I feel like the beef boti could've been a little better and overall I wish they made it a little less spicy but it's still great. Im glad that they give you the option to have Fries instead of Rice or Bread with your mixed grill entree. I highly recommend the grilled items here and based off of that I'm sure the other food here is great as well. read more

Great flavor, but you do have to watch out for some small chicken bones. :/ The beef was okay. I'm just not a fan of the beef stick all stuffed together concept. I don't like meatballs, so this texture was kinda like that. Not a fan. Both dishes came with 2 sauces that were good for dipping. Atmosphere. Surprisingly nice and clean! They have a section with tables, booths, and the sit down on the floor Japanese kinda seating. Service. They have a counter you can order at for to-go orders but they also have sit down service. It was our first time there so we ended up ordering at the counter and then sitting down. Oops. The waitress was very good at getting our drinks and got the food out quickly.
