Bad crudo was easily one of my favorite spots in the city for some fresh seafood! I loved the vibe in the restaurant, it's a perfect spot to eat good food and have a few drinks with some friends. The staff were very warm and welcoming and kept our white wine bottle cold in the cooler :) the seafood was extremely fresh and the crudo was delicious! I would come with a group of people so you can try multiple things. Would definitely come back and also highly recommend you make a reservation!

Came here for happy hour on a Friday night! It's from 5-6:30pm and at 4:50pm there were already about 3-4 groups line up. We ordered a dozen oysters, the chowder, tacos, and shishito peppers. Favorites were definitely the oysters and shishito peppers! The oysters were fresh and sweet, just melted in my mouth. The shishito peppers also had a really good lemon oil drizzled all over it. The tacos were super packed, I thought the cod was good but a little too much batter on the ends. The chowder was super creamy and a little too heavy for me but it had lots of seafood and was sweet and tasty! Overall a solid happy hour menu, the staff were nice - when we received the check it had a heart on it :)

Came here with my friend for a casual GNO and it was such a good move. We sat at the bar with no res on a Friday. The service was great! I'm glad we were able to go for the happy hour it's definitely worth it and I would love to go again!

This is a fun little seafood spot on Divis - we had a selection of the small plates to start and a dozen oysters. The wine selection was faily extensive and we asked for recommendations for what we ordered - and we found the service to be really welcoming. Will for sure be coming back.

Cute spot on Divisadero, the staff are very friendly and quick. We came for happy hour and ordered oysters, mussels, and fish tacos. The oyster had a couple bits of shell and were saltier than I expected. I was a little confused about the ketchup that came with the mussels and oysters, I wasn't sure what it was for. The sauce for the oysters was vinegar forward. The mussels had a nice crunch of peppers on top, they were very citrusy and vinegary, and then the texture of the mussel was different from anything I'd had before. My favorite item was the fish tacos, the sauces, the crunchy and pickled toppings, and the warm flaky fish were great. I would come back for the tacos and when it's cooler, the seafood chowder. We came on a hot day and it was pretty warm and stuffy inside so it was nice to sit outside in the shade.

been meaning to try this spot out and I'm so glad that I did! Some of the best crudo and seafood chowder I've ever had. We started off with some oysters. They tasted fresh and had a variety of different sources to choose from. Then we have the Cardoza sampler. Every Crudo had such unique flavor profiles. The fish tasted very fresh with interesting flavor pairings. Our favorite was the trout and we ended up ordering a half order at the end of our meal. The seafood chowder was also amazing. A small bowl packed with variety of seafood, potatoes, and bacon. Lastly, we got the spaghetti which had fresh thick cut noodles with clams and mussels. Slightly on the dryer side, but still very flavorful with a great chew on the noodle. Overall, we had a delicious dinner with great service. Our waitress was super friendly and very accommodating. The low lighting and intimate setting makes us a great spot. We will be coming back very soon.

Happy hour must!! Tip: make a reservation for happy hour, we were lucky to get in line early and sneak a table for a quick 30 min oyster sesh... but so worth it. Staff was very welcoming even though we didn't have a reservation, they were happy to have us sit for as much time as they had available. The vibe inside was really cool, great place to enjoy seafoods. HIGHLY recommend the mussels

Everything here was really solid and there wasn't a single dish that was disappointing. The Mount Lassen Trout Crudo could have been sliced a little thinner, but it's a really relatively minor detail. The Seafood Spaghetti had a good amount of seafood and the spaghetti provided a pleasant chew. All of the other dishes held their own with nothing negative to note. Looking forward to another visit

Came here from a locals recommendation and I loved it! I'm so thankful that San Francisco has great public transportation because I had a great happy hour with plenty of drinks and food for a price that would not break the bank. Not pictured or the glasses of wine that I had during happy hour. There's plenty of room inside, but because I was alone person eating I sat at the bar. Everyone was very friendly, including strangers I struck a conversation with. The hostess and the waitress who took my order were also really nice and I had a great conversation with them as an out-of-towner. I told him that I was there for seafood and ordered as much as I could for the oysters, mussels, and clams. I wish I lived closer so I could have this everyday! Wish my community was this friendly and tasty.

Lovely quick bite before a show at the Independent. We got a seat at the bar and split a few small things, the tuna tostada and a seafood chowder. Both were packed with fresh perfectly prepared seafood. The service was so fast and warm and friendly. Watching the Chefs behind the bar put together all the gorgeous dishes with such care made me wish we had more time to order more things. A great place for date night.

Went to Bar Crudo happy hour Monday around 6pm by myself, no bar seats open but they had standing tables to use while waiting, took about 30 mins. Place was busy, but staff even asked if I wanted more at cutoff time. Only got a few small things before dinner elsewhere, oysters fresh and delicious, wish I could've fit 12. Love the pairing of shishito peppers and anchovies but wished they were more blistered, kinda undercooked. Wine was good too. Would go back for happy hour again and try more.

Dropped in here for happy hour with my mom and was pretty excited. Please don't come here if you don't like fishiness in your seafood lol. you will be very disappointed. The happy hour drink menu has one white and one red option so we did one of each. The white is technically a portugese verde. I thought they were both fine, nothing particularly special. We did half a dozen oysters which were delicious. Fish tacos, and seafood chowder were also very good. They offered a nice contrast to some of the cold items on the menu. The one item I was a bit unsure of was the crudo sampler. Each item had a lot going on between sauces/toppings, and while the fish seemed fresh it didn't seem quite like sashimi grade I was expecting. Overall, think this is a good spot to start your night for some drinks and a few light bites but wouldn't recommend it as a spot for a full meal.

Amazing happy hour! We ordered off of the happy hour menu: 1/2 dozen oysters + 1/2 dozen mussels, the cod tacos, and wine. The oysters tasted fresh and the mussels had a delicious jalapeño marinade. I would recommend ordering a full dozen of the oysters and full dozen of mussels, perfect amount for 2 people. Reasonable pricing. The service was attentive and friendly. We went on a Tuesday @ 5:30 PM, and the ambiance was chill. Great happy hour spot with yummy food. I recommend!

It's right on the water so a nice view from the outdoor seating but nothing particularly outstanding about the restaurant itself in terms of decor or architecture. Service: 1.5/5 - huge miss. For the prices on this menu, I would expect service to be a lot better. We waited in line to be sat (no waiting list, just an old school line) and it took only 10 minutes or so to be sat but it was very bizarre, we were a party of 2 ready to be sat & she took the couple behind us and sat them first. No particular reasoning given. The host seemed to really not care about much. From there, service was odd. Our server didn't introduce herself and just asked us what we wanted. Again, not a necessity but you would think for somewhere you're paying $30+ per plate, service would be a bit better. An oyster holder was delivered to our table after we had already finished oysters. Glass was broken near our table and hastily swept up. Bussers were dropping silverware right next to our table. Again, just wasn't great ambiance or service. The food is good but there are other good restaurants in San Francisco. I would really only come here again with low service expectations.

I had steamed mussels with fries. There were not enough mussels because they were huge and the sauce was more a broth and not at all flavorful enough. I usually love sopping up every last drop of the juice. But the really disappointing aspect of our dinner was the service. There were 3 people behind the service station. All of them need a training course on how to pay attention to paying customers. Instead they were all engrossed in private conversation with each other or with one particular customer. And one of the staff was simply intimidating, and very very loud. I suspected his behavior may have been chemically induced. Our waitress was very sweet, cheerful and helpful when we could catch her attention. But as I said a 15 minute training exercise each evening before starting work would work wonders. Like look around each customer every time you are not doing anything. And the more senior staff member was just uninterested and perhaps a little grumpy. So the food was blah, more flavor in the broth would help, and ok but at today's prices a "dinner out" has to be about more than just the food.
