I was in Seattle visiting family so we crashed the patio for the evening. We ordered a enormous amount of food. Pizzas, salad, appetizers from the specials menu. Things came out really slow. But everything was delicious.

Wow, awesome little neighborhood eatery in Beacon Hill. There's a buzz as soon as you walk in. The baccala fritters were simple and flavorful, as was the romamesco and beets, although a little sloppy looking the combo was delicious. Opted for the Romana pizza, nice char on a thin crust, salty with anchovies and olives. From our tabke it was fun to watch wood being shoveled in the pizza oven. To cool off we had the Blueberry Spritz and Silvio's Cat both excellent, plus a chinotto. Was too full for desert but ordered the Marsala and fig ice cream anyways, another winner. Can see why this place is popular and reservations needed.

Came back to Bar del Corso after a long time -- my last visit was about eight years ago. They've been around since 2011, and the chef is known for being very picky about ingredients, even checking every delivery and sending things back if they're not up to standard. That kind of attention to detail is probably why this place has had such a long run. Still, I wondered if it would be as good as I remembered. The salad was a definite win. The fried sunchokes were perfectly crispy, and that subtle, barley-tea-like aroma was surprisingly comforting, especially in winter. The greens were fresh, and I appreciated that the dressing was light and not overpowering -- it really let the ingredients shine. The sardine toast from the specials, though... eh. Not great. Just okay at best. The octopus was cooked just right -- tender and flavorful. As for the mussels, well, they were mussels. Nothing special. The biggest disappointment was the pizza. It was way too salty. I remember loving it years ago, but this time it felt more like, "not bad," rather than something I'd crave. That was a bit of a letdown. Parking was another challenge -- it took about 15 minutes of circling to find a spot. The atmosphere is decent and cozy enough, but it gets very loud and echoey inside, which makes conversation pretty tough. Overall, it was nice to revisit, but it didn't quite live up to my memories from years ago.

What an amazing meal! We got seats outside, highly recommend that oasis as it was a little stuffy with the oven inside. Really great cocktail list. If you like an aperol spritz don't fret, but they have like 5 other spritzes that are really fun. I had one w Lambrusco that was super refreshing. Also tried this gin drink w orange peel simple syrup. Super recommend that one! Very friendly server, he recommended salad + starter + pizza for two. We ordered the green salad, if you like a little bitter from radicchio I recommend, and if you don't pick around because the dressing was great. We got two starters w the plan to taken home. Eggplant caponata w burrata on the specials list and the meatballs from reg menu. I like the caponata' better than meatball by a small margins, but wife said meatballs were amazing! We got a spicy salami pizza, basically a pepperoni pizza. It was great. They give you scissors to cut it which was a first for me. Will certainly come back. First time to that neighborhood, parking wasn't a problem on the main drag.

Decent food and very cute Beacon hill pizza spot! Friendly staff. We sat at the bar but I would like to go back when it's warmer and sit in their patio space. Clams were delicious! Pizza was solid, crust was crispier than I'd like but that's personal preference.

Bar del Corso has been in Beacon Hill for a while now. It's tucked in a charming stretch of the neighborhood, not far from other popular spots like Milk Drunk and Homer. They have a small menu with Neapolitan pizza and small plates. Here's what we ordered, in descending order of favorites: Mussels ($18, small plate) Cooked in garlic, chili pepper, cherry tomatoes, fennel, parsley, and white wine. The mussels were perfectly tender-- not overdone like they so often are-- and tasted fresh. The sauce was light but flavorful, with the white wine adding just the right acidity. Supplì al Telefono ($10, small plate) Fried risotto balls stuffed with mozzarella. These were dense, comforting, and had that satisfying mozzarella pull when you bite in. It's a classic dish that's hard to mess up, and they did a solid job. That said, I've had versions elsewhere that were just as good, so it didn't totally stand out. Margherita Bufala ($26, pizza special) This one came topped with prosciutto di Parma and arugula. The mozzarella was creamy and fresh, and the prosciutto was sliced to order, which I always appreciate. They clearly take their time with each pizza. You can watch them carefully monitor the pizza, then top everything just as it comes out of the oven. Great char. However, comparerd to other pizzas around Seattle, it didn't wow me, but it's solid.

Bar Del Corso is in a cute neighborhood called Beacon Hill. The restaurant was packed on a Saturday night, so we grabbed seats at the bar, honestly, no complaints there. The vibe was lively and the atmosphere felt warm. Despite how busy it was, service was impressively quick and attentive. Now for the food, every dish we ordered was exceptional. We started with the Supplì al Telefono, a classic Roman street food made of fried risotto and mozzarella. The appetizer arrived piping hot, crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, with perfectly melted cheese stretching with every bite. We loved them so much that we ordered a second round after our main course (possibly overeating, but absolutely worth it). For pizza, we went with the Funghi, which was incredibly flavorful. The combination of pecorino and fontina cheeses paired perfectly with the fresh mushrooms and arugula which I replaced in place of sausage. Also added Chili oil to the pizza to give it an extra kick! You can't leave an Italian restaurant without dessert, so we finished with the tiramisu. I usually prefer mine on the less-sweet side, and this one absolutely delivered. The balance of mascarpone and coffee was spot-on. It was also beautifully presented in an aesthetic cup, making it just as enjoyable to look at as it was to eat. All in all, Bar Del Corso has easily earned a spot on my list of favorite wood-fired pizza places in the Seattle area. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be back.

4.5 Stars Cute Italian spot located in Beacon Hill. The pizza here will knock your socks off. Drinks: I had a wine spritz with grapefruit juice ($14) -- it was sweet! My boyfriend got the Old Fashioned ($15), which he said was good and strong. Food: Housemade Bread ($4) -- I wish this had been toasted. The bread was fresh and spongy! Margherita Pizza ($21) -- This dish alone was worth 5 stars. It featured a perfectly charred thin crust topped with a light layer of sweet tomato sauce, delicate basil, and mozzarella. Wonderfully composed. The staff was attentive and friendly! :)

Good, but not great. The funghi was a little too salty (it was actually more of a sausage pizza than a mushroom pizza) and both pizzas' crusts didn't really have any flavor to them. The eggplant appetizer that we ordered was actually everyone's favorite. I would give Bar Del Corso 4 stars, but since everything on to their menu is rather expensive, I'll dock off another.

One of the best Italian places in Seattle, definitely a local neighborhood restaurant style with great patio set up. Definitely book ahead as they get filled pretty fast on weekends. Staff is friendly and food was great! We ordered the Margherita pizza, Salame Piccante pizza, Italian sausage with figs, Fried risotto balls- these were amazing. Drinks were nice too.

Are there gluten free options here?

I didn't see any specifically mentioned on the menu... however, they are very accommodating so I'm sure they could whip something up fantastic. And the escarole salad, meat and cheese plates are likely to meet your needs! And be delicious!

I first arrived around 6:15 PM. The area was packed and finding street parking was surprisingly difficult, so give yourself some extra time if you're driving. I also didn't have a reservation and was quoted about a 45-minute to one-hour wait for a walk-in. The woman at the front was very nice, though, and took my number for the waitlist. I used the time to drive over to Kerry Park for some sightseeing and came back around 7:30 PM. By then, my spot was ready and I was seated at the bar. I hadn't really eaten a proper lunch after the race, so at this point I was basically combining lunch and dinner. On the recommendation of the woman serving me at the bar, I ordered two half portions of pasta: Tajarin con burro e salvia -- $20 Fine hand-cut egg yolk pasta with butter and sage. Cavatelli al ragù di costolette -- $24 Cavatelli with short rib ragù and marinated cherry tomatoes. While I was waiting, they also brought out a complimentary amuse-bouche with toast, fig, and a dark reduction. It was a nice little start to the meal. The tajarin with butter and sage came first. I was starving and finished it pretty quickly. They also served bread and long, thin, crunchy breadsticks that I believe were grissini. The pasta was good, although it didn't completely blow me away. I'd probably give that dish around a 3.5/5. Then came the cavatelli with short rib ragù. Oh my gosh, guys. This might genuinely be one of the greatest pasta dishes I've ever tasted. Somehow, it was even better than the spaghetti Bolognese I'd had at another Italian restaurant the night before. The short rib ragù was remarkable -- incredibly rich and flavorful -- and the cavatelli had this wonderful soft, chewy texture that worked perfectly with the beef ragù and tomatoes. Everything just came together. This was easily the highlight of the meal and one of my favorite Italian dishes I've had anywhere. The bar seating also ended up being pretty social. I talked with a guy next to me who had recently finished a triathlon, and chatted with another woman whose birthday was the following day. It made eating solo considerably more enjoyable. By the end, I was completely full. Considering those two half portions essentially became my post-race lunch and dinner combined, I thought it was well worth it. I'm giving Spinasse 5/5 largely because that cavatelli with short rib ragù was absolutely remarkable. I'd come back without question the next time I'm in Seattle -- and I'd probably order that exact dish again. One word of warning: I'd strongly recommend making a reservation, especially on a weekend. If you're dining solo, walking in and waiting for a bar seat can work, but I'd still be prepared to wait. 5/5 stars Last visited: August 30, 2026

What's most disappointing isn't that problems happen, it's how they're handled. The attitude often gives the impression that the customer is always wrong, rather than making any effort to understand or resolve the situation. The service has come across as rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily confrontational. Good hospitality should make guests feel welcomed and want to come back. Unfortunately, my experiences here have done the exact opposite.

Not only to experience the food, but the DREAMY outdoor space I had seen all over social media. Service was excellent from start to finish. We managed to get an outdoor seat (yay!) and the vibes were immaculate from the start. It definitely gives off more romantic/date night vibes, but it was also fun to experience with some ladies from my team. Perfect for a girl's night! Obsessed with the string lights, the fountain, and the overall atmosphere. You somehow don't even realize you're in the middle of Seattle when you're here. The menu has so many options which made it so hard to choose, but I ended up going with the Fettucini ai Fungh - fresh fettuccini pasta with wild mushrooms served in a light cream sauce topped with truffle oil, and I also added chicken. When I say this is probably my FAVORITE pasta I've had in Seattle, I'm not kidding... I almost cleared my plate which is hard for me as my eyes are always bigger than my stomach, but I made it happen! The cream sauce was rich but not too heavy, and the truffle oil was prominent without being crazy overpowering. 10/10 absolutely no notes. Hands down would have trouble ordering something else when I visit again. Without a doubt, I will be returning in the future for a date night!
