I love this restaurant at every location but the food is was really cooked well. Our server was super attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was really nice especially if you can get a seat by the water but wasn't a huge fan sitting at a table by the bar it was very loud I couldn't hear the person I was with.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

So I guess that I'm the last person to find out how amazing the happy hour is at Fogo de Chão. Let me just say this is an all day happy hour that you will probably choose to go to over and over, because it's really that good!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you can get a seat at the bar, you're in the best position!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All of the cocktails that I had were exceptional in quality. The happy hour food menu has excellent selections and will allow you to actually get full. The spinach dip was so amazing that we ordered it twice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While the bar was packed while I was there, I loved the ambiance, it still gave an elevated experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm happy that we have a piece of Brazil here in MD.

Place us centrally located on the harbor with self serve parking that's a bit pricey. It was easy to make a reservation and table available up in arrival. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables are a bit too close to each other making it difficult for the gauchos to come thru with the meats with ease.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is greatly decorated but it can feel overwhelming with all the crowded tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff are nice but servers take a long time to come to the tables and meat offerings are very spread out at each table. Not sure I'd come back to this establishment as Tysons corner has way more ample seating space and more meat variety coming around.

11.30.2025. It's hard to believe this is my first time inside Fogo- National Harbor. I watched it being built and knew it was a great addition to the lineup. My friends have incorporated Fogo into their rotation & reiterate how difficult it is to get a seat at the bar. The great all day HH deals are likely the reason why. However, on this particular cold & dreary Sunday, my friends arrived early & ensured there was space for me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I washed my hands then checked out the restaurant & buffet spread. It looked amazing!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately, I wasn't hungry enough to partake. I grabbed a couple of my friend's crispy fries while waiting for my spinach dip & crab cake. They were tasty. So much so, that I had to resist the urge to grab more. My friends also ordered a Gold Rush for me that was fantastic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such an attractive warmly lit restaurant. Perfect for gathering to discuss an upcoming trip, date night, or whatever.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Shout out to the team that had a hand in transforming it from McLoone's Pier House that I also enjoyed.

Fogo de Chão was such a vibe. I went on a Saturday around 3:30 pm and caught their all day happy hour, which was perfect. We sat at the bar and ordered the strawberry hibiscus caipirinha, the saucy legs, and the picanha burger to split, and everything was amazing. The saucy legs were the standout. Fall off the bone tender, super flavorful, and topped with little scotch bonnet peppers that added the perfect kick. The drink was refreshing and honestly transported me straight to an island. The bar service was okay, but the food and drinks were the real reason I was there, and they did not disappoint. I can't wait to go back.

This was my second visit to the National Harbor location. I met a friend for Happy Hour on a Saturday evening around 6. Surprisingly there were available seats at the bar, and we sat down right away. The service is pretty good at the bar, depending on how busy they are. We both ordered cocktails and started with the empanadas and the short rib sliders which were both so good. I still felt like I needed a little something, so I ordered another cocktail and the lamb chop lollipops. The chops were delicious and cooked perfectly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fogo is a beautiful restaurant with lots of ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've only ever been on Saturday's and they are always packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My daughter treated us out to dinner for my birthday. It was so nice. We got there right on time and was seated as soon as we got there. To my surprise, the whole staff that waited on us were young. They were probably early 20s but they looked like they were 16 and earning money for prom. You can tell they were young not only by how they looked but how they acted BUT they were very professional and were on top of their job. There were two main girls that waited on us but because we were right by the register we got supported by others as well but the dude at the end... I'll tell you about him at the end. It's Fogo so you already know what to expect. A nice dining experience with a lot of red meat. I don't eat pork so I told them that and I only needed to mention it 2 times and from then on, when pork came out, they would ask the ladies but skip me so I liked that attention to detail. They offered to take our plates once they were pretty much cleaned and didn't wait for us to get up for a new plate before taking them away. They also kept our glasses full. For me, I enjoyed seeing them interact with each other because they seemed like they liked each other and worked well together. It also seems like they've been doing this a while and after I sent the pork away from me the main waitress came over and went over our allergies with us and then told us there wasn't much to stay away from that was out but there was one dish that had nuts. When we were done with the main course and time for deserts, she came back and advised us of what to stay away from due to allergies. She did however, offer to make some adjustments so we could have a desert everyone wanted that had something that one was allergic to but she was able to have it prepared w/o the allergen and we were very thankful of that. But first, when we finished eating, I was full. I didn't want desert but dude came out. I forget his name but let's call him Ricco Suave because bro was very personable. He told me my desert would be free because it was my birthday and since I was getting desert, I couldn't keep them from getting desert. His mannerisms was so smooth that it was funny to me but as I said, we all got desert and had a great night. I'm definitely coming back to this location. I've eaten at all DMV locations and this is my favorite just off service alone.

I came here after standing in line for almost two hours for a book signing, it was so worth it! Fogo was across the street, and I saw they have all-day happy hour, so I decided to try it. Their happy hour did not disappoint. I ordered the Brazilian empanadas, they were incredible and generously stuffed! I loved the chimichurri aioli that came with them. The crispy yuca fries paired nicely with the aioli as well. I also ordered the braised beef sliders, they were well-seasoned and melted in my mouth. While I was dining, a homeless woman came into the restaurant, and the guest services manager handled it beautifully. She gave her a table in the corner of the restaurant and treated her with absolute kindness. For that alone, I will return to this Fogo! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I highly recommend this restaurant, their happy hour did not disappoint and the decor is really nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although the outside is going through construction.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I went to Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse and pre-ordered for pickup--glad I did because the restaurant was extremely busy. When we received our food, we did have have to remind them to provide utensils, and the wait was very long. That said, it was a busy weekend with many guests coming in from surrounding hotels, which explained the delay. Despite this, the staff remained professional the entire time and were accommodating whenever we asked for something. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the steak, my sister had the chicken, and the crème brûlée cheesecake was amazing. I would definitely recommend Fogo de Chão.

The service here is a bit slow so even if you are coming for happy hour, expect to wait 15-20 mins to get your plates. Also every table around us got table bread except ours which we noticed towards the end of our meal. We had: Lobster & shrimp tacos: these were fine, the "taco shell" is a single piece of lettuce but you get a decent amount of filling Empanadas: 5, these were good Chicken something from the happy hour menu: 4 drumsticks, these were good too Lamb lollipops: 4 pieces, a little fatty but fine Over all the food and drinks were good and worth the happy hour prices and it's all day happy hour as well. It did take awhile for the waiter to come back and take our check in the end as well even though the dining room wasn't full.

We usually go to DC , but tried this one because it is closer and cheaper. Location is good, street parking (meter) or parking lot. Inside is very nice and is what you would expect from Fogo.Bar area and dining area with nice view of harbor. Staff is friendly and very attentive, and the meat kept coming with no delays. Everything was delicious. Salad Bar has the usual, different design so stays busy and not as easy to navigate. Overall a great experience!!!

I had a wonderful experience with colleagues last night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the Christmas decor and they have a pretty expansion salad bar that is self-serve.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I could get full of that alone. For my entree, I ordered the Single Churrasco of Picanha steak. The meat was delicious and cooked perfectly--flavorful and well-seasoned. The staff were very kind and accommodating. They made me a quenching Old Fashioned with Woodford Reserve, which is my favorite Bourbon. It was a great complement to the dinner. The polenta was also nicely made as were the accompanying side dishes. I ended the dinner with the molten chocolate cake which I shared with a beloved colleague. I highly recommend this spot. This was my first time at Fogo de Chao, I definitely see the hype from friends and family members who just adore the place. Bravo!

Fogo de Chão - National Harbor This Ain't Dinner. This Is a Full-Blown Brazilian Meat Rave. If you've never been to Fogo de Chão, let me paint you a picture: imagine a Brazilian steakhouse threw a Carnival party, hired a team of sword-wielding meat magicians, and said "Let's get weird." That's the vibe. From the moment I sat down, it was game on. I flipped my card to green and suddenly I was surrounded--gauchos emerging from the smoke like meat-bearing Ninjas. Picanha? Boom. Lamb chops? Boom. Bacon-wrapped filet? BOOM. It's like speed dating with protein--except every option is hot, juicy, and knows how to treat you right. The picanha alone deserves its own Netflix series. Just sea salt, fire, and Brazilian wizardry. Juice dripping like it owed me money. I was sweating. Crying. Praying. Speaking in tongues. My inner carnivore was doing backflips. Then there's the salad bar--though calling it a salad bar is like calling the Amazon a puddle. It's a utopian jungle of fancy cheeses, cured meats, quinoa that probably has a trust fund, and some mystery Brazilian stuff I didn't recognize but ate like I was possessed by the spirit of Pelé. The sides? Straight-up chaos. Little cheesy pão de queijo balls that made me reconsider all past relationships. Fried polenta that slapped harder than a telenovela plot twist. And those caramelized bananas? Sweet baby Jesus on a hammock in Rio--they were dessert foreplay. I washed it all down with a caipirinha so strong it tried to fight me in Portuguese. 10/10 would lose that fight again. By the time I flipped my card to red, I was delirious. Meat drunk. Floating. A waiter asked if I was okay--I whispered "obrigado" and saw God in a skewer of ribeye. Look, if you come here expecting "portion control" or "moderation," turn around. This is not that. This is war. This is love. This is Brazil, baby.

I had been here several years back with my sister but finally made it in again with my husband…read more Now that we live nearby hopefully we will come more often. You have a choice between AYCE or by the pound. I know last time I came I got AYCE but honestly I don't eat that much anymore, so by the pound is more cost effective for me. There also are two different prices based on whether you want BBQ + sushi with your buffet. (Sushi??? I'll stick to BBQ when going Brazilian.) I tried to sample small amounts of the dishes on the buffet and then got some picanha and another steak cut (maminha). Both BBQ cuts were very good - I liked the maminha more. (Fraldihna is my usual favorite, and it's kind of similar to the maminha.). They had a chicken with capers that was probably my favorite of the buffet dishes. The stroghanoff wasn't bad. Some of the other meat dishes on the buffet were a bit dry. I got a mystery empanada which turned out to be guava & cheese, if it had been warmed it would have been better. I love guava, but there was just a little small rectangle of guava paste in the very center; probably 80% of the empanada had no filling. Similarly, the cheese bread balls were cold and hard. Those need to be right out of the oven to be worth it. It's a shame, they probably were good when they were first made but they weren't by the time I got to them. The potato salad was ok but the balance of mayo to potato & other veg was off (too much mayo). I had some fresh fruit too. All in all, I'd definitely come back (I love the steak!) but I'd focus on the things I know are good rather than trying a lot of things.

There are other places to enjoy Brazilian food where customers receive much better attention and better food.

Was the steak worth a special trip here if you are in the mood for a good steak? no. You'd do much better around the corner at Stoney River. Or head down Rt 2 to The American Steak House. Was the chicken worthy of this choice? perhaps. Both the bacon wrapped and the sweet and sour were wonderful. Was the ham destination worthy? YES! The best ham we have ever had hands down-wow. The grilled pineapple was delicious too. The salad bar was plentiful and fresh but I would have liked another dressing choice. (perhaps replace one of the white ones with a tomato based) The mac and cheese was very tasty but cold. The buttered corn was a bit addictive and I ended up eating way too much of it. But my favorite food-and one that will draw me back, if only for carry out-was the creme brulee. I've had many of these over the years and never one this outstanding. The addition of the orange flavor to the burnt sugar topping is genius. I found the silly voices of the waiter as irritating as another reviewer on here. I came to the conclusion that it is not something the restaurant does but rather a quirk of this man. He was sweet and helpful so I think he has an unusual eccentricity. It was impossible to understand him when he switched voices. But it is not a deal breaker for us-service was outstanding and the proteins kept coming in rapid succession as long as our green box was up. Price is a bit of an issue. We can certainly afford $50 ish per person but as older patrons we just can't eat very much so it seems such a waste. (Wouldn't a senior citizen deal be a big draw???) All in all-we are fans and will be back for a time when we want fun with our food...

Someone in the group noticed the swirling tornado of trash right outside the front door. That didn't bother me, though I could see how someone would think that represents overall management and attention to detail. Just like a previous reviewer upon seating we got our glasses of water but waited about 30 minutes AFTER we'd drunk the glasses dry to get another. At least two of us asked for a refill during that time. So that's quite poor in itself. The first round of meat was actually incredibly delicious (it's why I went from 1 to 1.5 stars before graciously rounding to 2. Yes this could have been a 1 star review). The following rounds ranged from ok-to-good but nothing made us say "wow". Here the Star Rating killers... and I'll start with the big one. Or should I say Bug One. After about two rounds I happened to look down at my salad and saw several fruit flies trying to escape. Either they wanted a better dressing or wanted to go back to the trough, I dunno but at least 3 were trying to get off my plate depressa. You'll ask why I didn't say anything? This dinner was a lovely treat from family members who I may never see again so I didn't want to ruin their gift. I was however watchful to make sure none in the party went for a second helping at the insect bar. 2: I know it's a Brazilian place and the music is trying to accommodate that but unchecked playing of Sepultura over the speakers is a tough bite to swallow at a "nice restaurant". I'm sure someone spotified "artists from Brazil" and simply pressed play. 3. It's actually filthy in there. Sorry but grease builds up.

They sell Brazilian style food, desserts, snacks, and drinks. We visited twice and tried 7 items. 1) Risoles de Presunto e Queijo Ham and cheese risole is the English name. It looked like an empanada. It was deep-fried and had a crispy exterior that was coated with breadcrumbs. It was thick and slightly gooey on the inside. The filling was chopped ham and white cheese. It was savory and slightly salty with a mild blend of salt, pepper, and herbs. Reheat them in an air fryer or oven. Microwaving or deep-frying will ruin the texture and taste. The exterior was tastier than an empanada, but it was average overall. 2) Pastel de Carne com Ovos Beef and eggs pastel is the English name. It was rectangular and had a crispy, thin dough wrap like Chinese spring rolls. It was filled with seasoned ground beef and chopped hard-boiled egg. The beef was a little dry and crumbly. It looked and tasted like it was boiled. The beef flavor was weak with no savoriness! The seasoning had flavors of onion, garlic, and salt. It was so basic! Edible and forgettable. 3) Rocambole Goiabada Guava roll cake is the English name. Rocambole is a Brazilian sponge roll cake made with eggs, flour, sugar, and butter. Goiabada is paste made of red guava and sugar. It was the filling in the cake. The flavor was like slightly sweet strawberry and pear with a hint of tartness. The cake was light and fluffy with an egg yolk flavor. A great dessert if you're looking for a light and fruity cake with modest sweetness. 4) Sonho The name means dream in Portuguese. It is a doughnut made with flour, sugar, milk, eggs, and butter. The doughnut was breadlike with a crisp exterior and plain taste. It had a pastry cream filling that was thick, smooth, and creamy with flavors of vanilla, sweetened condensed milk, and egg yolk. The plain bread wasn't noticeable because there was lots of filling. It's a dream dessert for lovers of sweet pastry cream. 5) Pudim de Leite The name means milk pudding in Portuguese. Brazilian caramel flan is the English name. It was sweet with a strong flavor of caramel, a modest flavor of milk, and weak flavors of condensed milk and egg yolk. It was good, but the weak flavors and lack of vanilla kept it from being great. 6) Churro It was 10 inches long, deep-fried, and covered with lots of cinnamon sugar. It was filled with dulce de leche. The outside was crisp, and the inside was soft, moist, and slightly chewy. The filling had a milky flavor with light notes of caramel. It was a great match to the strong sweetness and spicy cinnamon on the exterior. This is how a churro should be made! 7) Brazilian Hot Dog It had a half smoke hot dog, diced onions, bacon, and mayonnaise topped with Brazilian potato sticks in a french roll. The hot dog was jumbo sized and oily. It was savory and well seasoned with a firm texture that was slightly chewy. The bacon was thick, crispy, and savory with the right amount of salt. The potato sticks were crispy and had a light flavor of fried potatoes with no salt. Everything worked well together to make this flavorful and extremely savory. My only wish is that they add a seasoned tomato sauce. If you love hot dogs, give this a try! The service was polite and attentive. The dining area and restrooms were relatively clean. There were 3 tables and 24 chairs. They had a small buffet table with 15 items and bottles of sauces. The items included 5 entrees, rice, sides, and salads. The buffet costs $10.50 per pound. They are in a shopping center with free parking. This is a casual place with some good Brazilian style desserts, bread, food, and packaged goods along with great churros. They are worth a visit if you're in the area.

I have been to this establishment every week for over 5 years. I loved bringing my 3 young children, husband and friends here. However, today I came here with my elderly, injured mother and my young daughter. A young Brazilian cashier with dark, curly hair spoke so disrespectfully to my mother! When I asked her to show some respect to elders (and injured elders at that), she refused to serve us and take our money. What kind of cashier speaks ill to their customers and refuses to take their money!? I feel really badly for the owner of Brazilian Bakery, because he hired a cashier who refuses to sell to his customer. She literally turned our $30 away. And only because I asked her to show some respect to my elderly mother. I was flabbergasted! I asked what is the problem? She said, "The only problem here is your annoying, stupid mother." Inside I wanted to punch her in the face, but because I have class and was raised better, I told her that she is what she called my mother! I promised her that I will inform her manager and other patrons about her awful customer service and disrespect. If you are Brazilian and crave Brazilian food, go to "By Brazil" or the cafe around the corner (Americas). Not only is the food there spectacular, their staff is so respectful and warm, and they never refuse to take your money! Be advised my fellow Brazilian neighbors!

The salad bar was plentiful and had a good mix of toppings. We really loved the smoked Salmon and beef carpaccio. They also had hot side dishes and steak sauces available. Our favorite was scallop potatoes. In terms of meats which is the star of the show, we loved the Cajun Lamb, Cajun ribeye, salmon with cilantro sauce, and grilled pineapple with cinnamon. We underwhelmed with the beef rib because it tasted more like pot roast. All the other options were solid and truly no bad bites at all. Loved the experience and will be back!

But each time we go, which isn't often, I feel like it gets more and more...meh. Last time we went, we got walked aaaaaall the way past every table for two and sat in the back at a table for four...okay. Kind of annoying but not a huge deal. Our waiter disappeared after a while. He didn't seem to understand that I wanted the seafood token, but finally got me one (by the way, the grilled cheese with honey is not included with this token...which is odd). There was one guy walking around who asked if we needed anything, so we asked for the salmon/shrimp/grilled pineapple to come around. He delivered! I will say the pão de queijo (cheese bread) was hard. I know how to make these, and it's not difficult. So they were either overcooked or left to sit for too long before they were brought to the table. Overall it was just okay, we had a better experience the last time we went in...I think it was 2021. But husband liked the meat, so I guess that's the point.

The service was excellent and accommodating. I was impressed because I know large groups can be difficult to wait on, so was very pleased with the service and how quick they were to get our orders in and us served. We ordered a variety of appetizers, such as the the empanadas, calamari, and garlic shrimp. My favorite items were the empanadas and calamari, which were extra tasty with the accompanying sauces. We also ordered a variety of grilled meats, including the two large Parrillada meat platters and picanha . The accompanying sides we tried were the fries, cheese rice, fried yucca, and plantains. I really liked the plantains, but the cheese rice was not was I expected. It was more like grits than cheesy rice. The meats were cooked to how we requested it, and of course tastes especially good with the sauces. My favorite cuts were the strip steak, beef rib, and picanha. I didn't really care for the sweet breads, but that is a personal preference. Value wise, the Parrillada platters could easily feed 4 - 5 people, so we had plenty of leftovers. I would definitely recommend checking out La Estancia if you enjoy grilled meats!

They were not very busy when we arrived but remained attentive during our entire visit. The food was fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. We got a parrillada mixta, which means mixed grilled meats. It was superb! My husband had a cup of coffee, which was also good. Usually, restaurants go for generic coffee, and it's always overcooked. This was fresh and delicious. The restaurant is nicely decorated, music is playing, and there is a bar. It would be a great hang-out spot.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE…read more I had tickets for The National and did an online search of nearby spots to have happy hour before the show. On Fogo de Chão's website, I was pleased to find a promotion stating that its happy hour was "all day, every day" and "in the dining room and bar." I was even more pleased to see a big "RESERVE NOW" button as part of the promotion. I made my reservation for 6 p.m., provided all my contact information, and included a note in the "Special Request" section specifically requesting two seats at the bar. The reservation was submitted and confirmation received at 3 p.m. Unfortunately, I was far from pleased when I arrived and the hostess said, "I see you have a reservation and your note, but the bar is first come, first served." I expressed my disappointment but stated that I would be fine seated in the dining room. She then hits me with, "Happy hour is only available in the dining room if you are having dinner." I then expain that the information on the website made no mention of either of those restrictions and that at no point in the reservation process was there any information that would indicate that reservations are for non-happy hour guests. A manager then stepped in and shared that I must have read the happy hour information incorrectlg and that the online service clearly states that reservations are for the dining room only. He then proceeded to explain that he would make an exception and allow me and my guest to have happy hour while seated in the dining room (which, by the way, was nearly empty). I was pretty annoyed about being made to feel like I was in the wrong and at no point getting an apology, but at least I finally had a seat and could order food and drinks. BUT that brief feeling of satisfaction didn't last because when the bill came, they charged us full price for our cocktails. To make matters worse, I wasn't able to have the bill corrected because I didn't have the time to spare before the show. I have included photos of the website's happy hour promotion and the reservation booking form.
