Today was my lucky day! I finally found the opportunity to return to Bar Molina. My 1st visit was an event but I dreamed of trying more Sherry Cocktails and sampling an array of Tapas. Through my excitement I failed at picture taking. But.. everything was amazing! We ordered Market special which was a Sea Bass tapas and Octopus, Salad and Tuna Conserves. The cocktails were delicious. Service was outstanding. Thanks for an awesome afternoon! Until next time I will be dreaming of the Octopus!

An exquisite Spanish cuisine in the San Marco area!⁣ ⁣ The first dish consists of sautéed shrimp, saffron oil, lemon, crispy garlic, bay leaf, and Calabrian peppers. The shrimp was fresh, perfectly cooked and very flavorsome!! The second dish is crispy fried potatoes with Bravas sauce, garlic aioli, and Pimenton de la Vera. The sauce was absolutely delicious! And lastly, the dessert is a spiced chocolate custard, and caramelized sugar topped with pink peppercorn meringue and candied mint. It was a mouth watering treat to end the meal!⁣ My order: Gambas al Ajillo, Patatas Bravas, & Crema Catalana con Chocolate

Not so happy hour meet up with my brother and sister-in-law. We had a reservation at 5:30PM and happy hour ended at 5. Why not until 6PM? We started off with some cocktails, but I ordered the Maeloc coder. That was pretty good! Foodwise, it's tapas style so we ordered a little bit of everything to try. Pintxos Gildas - skewers of anchovies Razer Clam Conserva - elongated clams Pulpo a la Plancha - grilled Spanish octopus Gambas al Ajillo - sautéed shrimp Setas el Jerez - mushrooms sautéed in Sherry Patatas Bravas - crispy fried potatoes Skirt Steak - flavorful sliced grass-fed steak Bread Service - toasted sourdough Casual atmosphere great when meeting up with friends. Good food and service. Our server was very knowledgeable. He knows everything Bar Molino has to offer from menu items to wines and drinks.

Decided to take a short walk from the hotel and have dinner at Bar Milino. I sat at the bar for a glass of wine and a couple of small plates I traditional tapas style. The food was very good I had the patatas Bravas and a small charcuterie plate with house made chorizo that was spectacular. The bartender did an amazing job and was very knowledgeable of the menu and its offerings. It was a quiet night as the weather was not great so the noise level was perfect for some great conversation with the bartender. I could see where on a busy night it could be a little loud. I will definitely make the walk again to try more Of the menu

One of my friends has been raving about this spot for a few months and we finally made it - and I am so glad that we did! The spot itself is so, so cute and very trendy. I love the wine wall (obviously) - it has a great selection of whites, reds, rose, etc. and you will definitely be able to find something you love. Our server showed me around and helped me choose a red wine that was absolutely perfect for my taste (see photos). It was just my husband and me for a little date night but don't worry, we FEASTED. Meatballs, mushroom croquetas, patatas bravas, skirt steak - and a nice treat of harissa chicken from the kitchen since it was our first time visiting. Everything was SO flavorful and unique - not your typical tapas spot and definitely fresh and amazing ingredients. It was our first time visiting, but definitely will not be our last. Cheers!

Their happy hour is only from 3-5pm :( and my driver, aka my husband has work till 4:30pm. So we instead made a reservation at a later time. Bar Molino is a Wine and Tapas restaurant. I really wanted to try their coffee based drink but they also have a wide selection of wine, and as my mom always say, order first their specialty before trying something else. I like my red wine dry and unsweet, so our server Brian, who was very knowledgeable in all of their wines and tapas recommended the Cubillo Rioja and it was perfect! Just the way I liked it! We ordered several of their tapas such as the Bread, a must try! So simple yet flavorful! The olive oil with garlic and sherry vinegar was so good! Pintxos Gilda, Pan Con Tomato, Patatas Bravas, Gambas Al Ajillo, Skirt steak, Setas Al Jerez, Pulpo a la Plancha, and Razor clams in brine were also sampled and everything was amazing! Nice interior with a corner where wines are sold. They also sell the conservas they served such as the mussels, sardines, mackerel, etc. I urge everyone to visit this place! You will not be disappointed!

Had to try this place for Valentine's Day. Our first draw to this place was from a cider event at Alewife. The event featured Maeloc cider which is a Spanish cider that is carried at Bar Molino. Parking? You can choose either valet or park on the street. We parked across the street near Jack Rabbits and walked over. The place was smaller than we thought it would be but it was hopping and had a clear view into the kitchen area. We sat near the kitchen so we got to watch all the food coming out carried by the servers and the owners. Yeah, the owners were helping out because it was that busy and when they weren't doing this, they were checking each table and talking to customers, thanking them for coming out. We went in with a goal to fill the table with plates and we accomplished this. Here's what we had: Maeloc cider - this was my babe's drink. It's light, subtly sweet, and a little dry. Not my favorite but he loves it. Flight Plan (Blanco Vermut, lemon, passionfruit, Cava, bitters) - vermut is now my favorite liquor. I loved how light and citrusy this tasted. Had to get two. Pinxtos Gilda (anchovy, manzilla olives, piparra peppers) - an app I wanted. I just recently discovered how great anchovies are and this was a great salty snack. Remolacha Asada (roasted beets, coriander-honey goat cheese, pickled turnips, almond) - his app. Beets and goat cheese go really great together. Sardines in Escabeche - mine. Never had sardines before so I wanted to try them. These were served in a tin with garlic, peppers and toast. Very tasty. Razor Clams in Brine - his, also served in a tin. He just ate the clams out of the tin and loved them. I tried one and love the taste some much that I ordered some for myself. Gambas al Ajillo (sautéed shrimp, pimenton oil, lemon, crispy garlic, calabrian peppers) - his. I had a shrimp and it was very good. They were lightly seasoned and were really tender. Pulpo a la Plancha (grilled Spanish octopus, marinated gigande beans, mojo rojo, saffron aioli) - mine. these were sliced and personally I didn't feel like I had enough. But the mojo rojo is delicious. It definitely should be more prominently featured in a dish. Setas el Jerez (assorted wild mushrooms, truffle, sou vide egg, sherry) - mine as l love mushrooms. Excellent. We honestly had no room for dessert but I feel like I could have taken the cheesecake home. Oh well, guess that just means I'll have to come back again. Definitely worth it for the fantastic food, atmosphere and service.

If you've never experienced the pleasure of an utterly satisfied "Mmmmmmm" after every bite--then go to Bar Molino. Every single thing about our dinner was incredible. The food was absolute perfection--so many layers of flavor and texture - it kept us wanting more, the service was outstanding (you're the best SJ!!) -- our glasses stayed full and our table cleared, and the space was beautifully curated! Really loved the playlist last night - OutKast Radio on Spotify. It's been awhile since I've had a meal that was so satisfying and service as seamless and attentive like we had last night. It's a beautiful thing they've created and I'm ready to go back to try the rest of the menu. Parking: there's valet, but also street parking. Fave tapa: everything was so flavorful, but I could have eaten the Gambas al ajillo over and over again. Totally cleaned that plate. Fave dessert: all of them were incredible, but really loved the basque cheesecake. The way the pecans were roasted was something I've never tasted-crispy and airy, soo delicious.

Great meal! With a very lively atmosphere and open space we enjoyed the bussel of the crowd. We had a small table for two so we ordered a couple tapas at a time to ensure we didn't run out of table space. The meal started with bread service we ordered with roasted garlic served in olive oil and a touch of vinegar to spread over toasted crusted bread. Then we moved to the tasty pork and beef meatbal which had finished flavor of a chorizo both in color and flavor. It was 1 large meatball which was good sharing size for two. It was smothered in brown sauce with caramelized onions and herbs. We also enjoyed a nice portion size of potatoes bravas which were fried to perfection dusted in a smoky paprika and aioli. And the start of the show of the night the tortilla Espanola. Although different from what I had in Spain 20 years ago it was phenomenal. So delicate, airy and perfectly seasoned. The ones I had in Spain were thicker and heavy potato this dish was more pancake like and light. But every bite made you wish you had more! The final tapas was mixed mushrooms and truffles topped with a sous vide egg yolk. This again was great with each shroom cooked to perfection and soft black truffle mixed in with caramelized shallots. And to end the evening I had the basque cheesecake with an apple sauce on top and candied pecans. Definitely a fantastic meal and will be back.

Under zero circumstances should you pass this place up! I am obsessed. Okay first and foremost, I recommend making a reservation. They use resy and it's super easy and convenient. Next step, come hungry. I recommend starting with their charcuterie board. Everything is locally made and full of flavor. So good! They have a fantastic wine list BUT they also sell wine and you can purchase any bottle you want to compliment your meal. We got a bottle of Matsu El Viejo. This bottle bears the photo of the grandpa and he is the ONLY one who can select the grapes for this particular wine. How cool is that!? It was bold and delicious. I am already thinking about going back for another bottle. The tapas we went with were all phenomenal. The octopus was divine. The seared tuna was magnificent. We also tried two specials they had going on which were a brócoli salad and a filet skewer. I cannot say more about how absolutely perfect everything was. You must go and see for yourself! And before I forget, the service is impeccable. Our server was magnetic and gave us so much helpful information. Everyone we encountered was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience all the better. I don't know if I'll find a better restaurant in Jacksonville. I hope you try them soon!

One word: Obsessed! Food, service, ambiance -- ALL top notch, and don't even get me started on the epic wine selection. The menu shows so much range and attention to detail. It's all so delicious. I'm a huge fan of the Tortilla Espanola & the Patatas Bravas, but based on what I sampled on my first visit, I'm sure I'll have no problem working my way through the menu and loving it! Allllll the Yums here! Will return as soon as earthly possible. Salud!

    Tropical sherry! So good!

This place is amazing! Only open two months, and you wouldn't be able to tell! The service was impeccable. The food was flavorful. The ambiance was elegant and modern. The wine selection was diverse. I went for ladies night. Go with your ladies! Make it a date night. Take out your coworkers. This is a great spot. Additionally, there is outdoor seating in the back. Today, 11/2/22, complimentary valet was offered. I didn't realize that because I had found some street parking. Also, there's no majorly large sign off Hendricks. Just know it's in the same building as Burrito Gallery. The Burrito Gallery sign is still up on the building; just go down the side. Then visit their storefront where you can buy all your charcuterie needs! I bought some prosciutto to take home. They offer meats, cheese, spreads, crackers, etc. Make sure you check this place out!

Took my best friend here for a Galentine's Day dinner and so glad we did! The atmosphere was so…read moresheek, chic, and lovely. We were seated immediately and our waitress was such a doll! She made sure to check up on us, answered all of our questions, and refilled our drinks often. It was super clean there too! We were started off with some fresh, warm bread and a balsamic/olive oil dipping sauce. The bread was perfectly crispy and went so well with the dipping sauce. We were served cold bread before at restaurant so I'm glad we had warm bread! We decided on the following appetizer and entrees: Fried meat ravioli - 8/10: it came out piping hot and it was so delicious! Fried to a nice, golden brown and covered in panko crumbs, it didn't feel heavy at all. It came with a fresh marinara sauce and had parmesan cheese sprinkled on top of the fried ravioli. Each bite was cheesy, crispy, tasty, meaty, and we devoured it quickly! Carbonara Alla Roma - 8.5/10: I thought the portion would be small since I seen photos online but it was actually a great portion. I had enough to take home and eat as leftovers! The pasta was cooked perfectly and the alfredo sauce was balanced and decadent. I could taste the pecorino romano, and cracked black pepper. The pancetta was smoky and added a nice umami flavor to the pasta. I didn't rate it higher because it was slightly missing a little bit of of that BAM factor! but it was pretty delicious! The Sofi - chicken - 9/10: Oh my gosh! My best friend got this and I wished I would have too! It was sooooooooooooooooooo good! It had prosciutto di parma, mushrooms, asparagus, shallots, cooked in wine and tossed in a rose cream sauce. The pasta was also cooked perfectly and that sauce was to die for! Each bite was like tasting the finest flavors and spices of Italy. I could not believe how tasty this was! If you come here, you HAVE to try this dish! Tiramisu - 9.5/10: One of the best tiramisus we've had in Jacksonville. It was the perfect amount of espresso and cream. They had dollops of chocolate sauce on the side and helped elevated the flavor of the tiramisu. It also wasn't super sweet which we appreciate. We don't really like overly sweet desserts and this one hits the mark on everything. Overall, service, food, and atmosphere was great! We would definitely come back to try other menu items! Thank you for such a great first experience, Sofi's!

Pair it with the crème fraîche on either the toasted bread or the chips, and muah perfection! Personally, I preferred it with the chips since I found the toasted bread a little too salty. * The Tuna Carpaccio was a surprising 10/10. We sliced it into strips, making sure each bite had the comb crisps, basil aioli, yuzu aioli, Florida sterlet caviar, micro arugula, and mushrooms. Oh my god! the flavors were incredible. The tuna made each bite light and refreshing, while all the other ingredients layered together beautifully, revealing new flavors as you kept chewing. * The oysters were another 10/10. They were incredibly fresh, and pairing them with the sorbet created such a refreshing combination. The kimchi dropper was just okay, I was hoping for more heat. The mignonette dropper, though, was absolutely delicious and complemented the oysters perfectly. * The Charred Octopus gets a 9/10. The octopus was wonderfully tender, but I wished the chorizo flavor came through more. The fregola was fantastic, it was satisfying and filling without feeling too heavy. * The Mussels Frites earns an 8/10. The fries were perfectly seasoned and honestly one of my favorite parts of the dish. The mussels were good, but like the octopus, I expected a stronger chorizo flavor. * The Burgundy Escargot is a solid 10/10. Absolutely delicious! The rich bone marrow melted in your mouth, and it paired so well with the escargot. Such a creative combination that worked beautifully. * The outdoor seating was wonderful! Even though it was raining, it was still very comfortable thanks to the fans nearby, so it never felt hot or humid. The ambiance was elegant yet relaxing, making it the perfect spot for a romantic date night, a special birthday celebration, or any gathering with family and friends. The overall vibe made the experience even more memorable. Lastly, a special shout-out to our server, Colette! She was wonderful from start to finish! She was always cheerful, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She took the time to explain the dishes, answered all of our questions with a smile, and made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.

100% on the pricier side, but I think pretty worth it if you're coming for a special occasion!…read more Parking isn't too bad. I think they have valet, but there's also free street parking and a little lot across the street. But definitely plan to come a little early to find a spot if you have a reservation. The service really is top tier. All the workers were super friendly and super helpful. I haven't had too much experience with fine dining, but I was taken aback and impressed that they even gave me a little side table to put my purse on. And the food itself is really delicious! Starting off with the bread and butter, I'm kind of sad they only gave us one piece each, but I also know if they gave us more, I would have gotten full off of that alone. You get to pick what kind of bread you want from a selection of focaccia, ciabatta, etc. And they're so soft but with a good chew. The butter was also so good. It was super olive oil forward, so it really reminded me of like the bread and olive oil with spices you get at other spots. But solid version of that, while still being super soft and spreadable. I was also super impressed with the hokkaido scallops. Not only were the scallops huge, but it was perfectly cooked all the way through. They had the crispy edges, but the inside wasn't rubbery or chewy. That paired with the creamed corn and charred corn - so so good.

It seemed like this place had a section ready for whatever vibe I could want. I also loved that they had art supplies out for people to get creative while enjoying a drink. Speaking of which, my favorite drink I tried here was the petal pusher because I liked how tea was incorporated into the cocktail. I definitely hope to come back here soon for more trivia & swing dancing events.

The menu is via QR code that takes you to their website and you can find wines, cocktails (with wine) and some beers. I tried the wine flight (Riesling, Cab Sav and an employees choice) which was delicious and a great way to try multiple options to find what you like. Also tried the frozen strawberry frozen marg which I unfortunately did not enjoy. It didn't have a lot of strawberry flavor, it tastes more like cherry medicine. Do want to mention that when it gets busy, it may be hard to find parking and the area is pretty sketchy (I didn't feel safe parking far and having to walk over. One time a homeless guy was yelling at me when I was walking on the sidewalk), so just be mindful and careful if you do park far and having to walk.
