This isn't your average sushi restaurant. Bar Yoshi has some seriously high quality ingredients, preparation is next level, and the outdoor seating area is so relaxing (and great for people watching). Service is generally attentive although not the best I experienced on the island. Definitely worth the price and I would come here over Cru for great seafood all day long.

Another gem on the island that has reviews that I don't quite understand! Everything we ordered here was perfect. We started with the scallion pancake with salmon and the shrimp Shumai. Both were special in their own ways and were very good. We then got the ichiban, California and dynamite roll. My personal fav was the ichiban. The fish was fresh and was presented perfectly. The amount we ordered was great for two people and will forever be a staple when visiting. Service was quick and ambiance was pretty being outside! Definitely recommend for some yum sushi!

Enjoyed dinner with the fam at Bar Yoshi. The shishito peppers are a must if they are available. Perfectly blistered and seasoned. Edamame app is a healthy serving and a toddler favorite the sushi rolls were fresh and also toddler approved. Service was very good. Server was attentive and Pleasant. Would visit again.

Food and service were great! We got the vegetable spring rolls and beef Yakitori for starters. Highly recommend both. I had the ramen with chicken for my meal and it was delicious.

Tuna poke bowl with sushi rice, edamame

Reservations are limited bc patio and bar are open seating. So glad we asked, so we knew to pop by for lunch. We were seated quickly outside across the way. Two glasses of Veuve and poke bowls - we're so happy. Service was friendly and attentive. Great spot to people watch. The tuna in the poke bowl was perfectly firm and cold. It's a huge portion. Same with the edamame. Biggest portion I've ever seen.

I just had the Philly Roll so I can't say much about this restaurant's food. Cute interior and quick, friendly service.

They just redid their whole restaurant and it is amazing. The food is really good and its BYOB. Cheap sushi for Nantucket.

Great food and BYOB! Only downside is there is very little seating- not a good place for party of more than 4!

There's a place to park, I can walk in, order a fried fish sandwich, look at some lobsters in a tank for ten minutes (the best part) and be out the door with a hot n ready fried fish sandwich in my hands. On my last visit, the woman at the counter was so happy. I was already happy because I was getting a fried fish sandwich. And then I was feeding off of her energy, and I was just having such a great moment in Sayle's Seafood! Now, I could sit in and eat here and bask in their fishy glory since there are tables, but I have yet to do so. I also love the view of the harbor from the front porch and that it's tucked down that little street and the vibe is so island that it contributes to the over-romanticism of Nantucket that happens in my mind but that's okay. The fish sandwich was really good. The time before that, I ordered the clam strips side, which was a lot smaller than I believed it was going to be. They were small individual pieces and fried well-done, while I do prefer a softer crunch. Next time, I will order the clam strip platter which comes with accoutrements. I also had their clam chowder, which I also thought was pretty good. I will be back for more seafood, and I hope that it is soon!

They do have a couple of tables outside, but it was kind of a cool and windy day and not enjoyable to be sitting out. Darn shame. Seafood was alive in tanks. Everything was very fresh. Prices very reasonable. Too bad they do not have a real eating area, not a restaurant, but a place where you can sit, use utensils, and enjoy.

It is located in the center of town so in a house converted into a restaurant. I started out with Tuna Taraki which was five slices of fresh tuna on a bed of curry topped with a sliced plum. It was delicious. As an entree I had the swordfish that was seared. It was a large portion that filled me right up. The waiter was marginal. We asked if he had after dinner port be the glass. A simple request. He disappeared for 15 minutes while he checked. This required a yes or no answer from the kitchen. As it turns out, they did not have it. The restaurant had about twenty table with a separate bar area. The dining room was dimly lit. I would return whenever I am on the island. It is a top-notch restaurant.

After having been brought to our seats at the bar, then told they were reserved, we were walked back outside to sidewalk and into adjacent restaurant's (boarding house) dark & dank -empty- bar (with music blaring), we asked if an outside sidewalk table was available. Yes but we needed to eat & leave by 7:15. It was 6:15. We said yes because we knew (ASSUMED) that was possible. Though there were 3 2-seat tables available, she put at a table almost on top of a table of 6...3 very loud & ill behaved children. And that's where we remained, waiting a while for "server" to ask us for drink order, then finally take our dinner order (never mentioned the specials; I had to ask) and then we waited & waited (meantime 7:15 came & went) for our very small servings of boring (& room temp) cod & even smaller ("share plate"?!?) of crudo. And because the plates most likely sat in kitchen & wee ignored by pit "server" the fish was not hot and the crudo was not cold. Never again Pearl, never again

Just a nice, artisan dish akin to something you'd get in New Bedford or Fall River. Fantastic. 5-Stars. Now their lobster roll. The volume of finely shredded lobster meat, that was also warm in that hot dog roll was smaller than the Jimmy Dean link. 0-Stars. My recommendations for a "good" lobster roll is to go anywhere else on island. I'd recommend Sayle's Seafood, The Nantucket Lobster Trap or Stubby's. In fact, I'd just stay clear of the Club Car altogether, it is one of those places for the self-focused New York / Miami new [vulgar] money jet-set that treat the island like their play-thing... you know, you see their empty beer cans in the morning around town.
