Very nice store with a seeming niche to BBQ sales. If you're looking for a variety of grills to browse and compare this is not the place. For built ins, larger patio grill w/ much more than the normal grill, this would be your destination. What limited grills they do have on display (Weber) they have even less in stock. I love shopping at BBQ Galore in Irvine. I feel the staff addressed all my needs and helped me find the Perfect Grill. I worked with Dave and he made my buying experience fun. We talked about all the different options. I settled on a grill on a push cart, but was informed that they make custom Islands and I can convert my grill into a built in grill in the future. I highly recommend going to this store for anyone looking for a great grill and a friendly staff. Will definitely be returning for my accessories and Island in the future. After the manager was crystal clear about the $500 pre-paid third party installation being 100% complete, with absolutely no additional charges, the installation company insisted on charging an additional $175 and both entities side stepped responsibility, blaming the other. When confronted about the experience being different from the promise, the BBQ's Galore Manager was not willing to take any responsibility, nor do anything whatsoever. This is poor communication/customer relations at best, and purposeful bait and switch at worst. I will never again set foot in this establishment, now knowing how little integrity matters to them. read more

I have to say that I was pretty shocked to know that they had a fancy cooking school inside the Irvine location. I bought a deal of the day on www.ocrdeals.com . The cooking school was 50% off but after the class I would pay full price. They show you how to cook everything on the grill from shrimp salad appetizers to chocolate souffle desserts. Where else are you going to go, to get legitimate information about anything grill worthy? I've never even been acknowledged at Lowes, Patio and Fire or BBQ outlet. I came in here just to browse since I already have a BBQ and I ended like a kid in a candy shop! I figured the associates are on commission so I gave them a heads up that I wont being buying anything and they still went out of their way to show me around the store, inform me on what infrared means, told me about all the seasonings and different tool sets and they even have a Chef in the back that you can get private lessons from! C'mon, seriously, THEY HAVE A REAL CHEF! I think his name was John? Really nice and funny guy, taught me I've been grilling wrong this whole time! I'm a lot closer to being a BBQ Grill master now, after talking to him for half an hour. It would be if they had a few more smokers on display. Buyers be aware, there is no service after sale! I bought a Turbo Elite and a side burner from the Irvine store....during the installation I realized there is no Regulator that was supposed to be in the package with the side burner... I made several trips to the store and every time no one in the store had the authority to provide me with the missing part. On top of it, they had sold me the hook up package for $65 to NG that did not supply the fitting that would have worked with unit that they sold. Story continues....! When I went to return the hook up package the sales person has no authority to return it even though he had a copy of the invoice in his computer. Update- 11/4.... they ordered a new part and made it right! read more

PROS: (1) food is good; (2) i learned a lot, and they give you printouts of the recipes; (3) great customer service, very professional; (4) easy parking; and (5) BYOB. CONS: (1) i can't think of any. The cooking classes are great fun. John, the chef is very knowledgable and fun! The foods are great and the lessons clear. The BBQ kitchen holds about 16 so it is a great place to host a small party. I have been 3 times and will plan another soon! read more

Great customer service, an incredible depth of knowledge and an amazing generosity in sharing many good tips! We had planned on going to a nearby store when we noticed the BBQ store. As we had been thinking of expanding our cuisine to some barbecued dishes, we decided to step in and learn about the different BBQ machines. The gentlemen (maybe the owner of this location?), Anthony, was busy with another couple when we stepped in, so we hovered around for a short while, unsure at what we were truly looking at. Shortly afterwards, the other couple left and Anthony came and asked if we needed any help. My response was "yes, we know nothing about the bbq machines". As it was close to closing time, I was expecting that he would show us a couple of models and dismiss us quickly thereafter. To my surprise, he said "ok lets start with this unit" and then he took us for a grand tour of the store (which has a very large variety of BBQ machines displayed for the public). He talked about the different units just like they were his kids: so much knowledge and enthusiasm! He explained not only the value of each piece of equipment but also the different ways to cook on the bbq units. It was absolutely fascinating and an enchanting experience. We did not buy anything as we wanted to digest what we had just learnt before deciding which way to go. And still Anthony remained his generous self, answering any other questions we had. We never felt pressured to buy or belittled for our lack of knowledge. Anthony juts made our evening (maybe the whole week)! So if you are in search for a new BBQ or want to improve your existing one, this is without question the place to go! read more

So......went here to buy a Weber grill....did not have the one advertised at $100 discount. The man called the Torrance location. They said they had it. My husband was told by Jamboree location that the Torrance location would give us the same discount. He drove up there and they would not give the discount. BBQ galore is a complete rip off. I purchased an Excaliber Grill in 2006. I was told by the sales rep and manager the grill had a life time guarantee. Well stupid me. Hind site 20/20. 6 years and $1800 later the burners, flame arrester and cooking grill are burnt out. Went to the OC stores and no one would answer my questions or could even refer me to where i could find parts for this junk. Felt like i was uncovering a local conspiracy. I was told that since the BK none of them could support the lifetime guarantee claim. They were only happy to try and sell me another grill. As I understand now these Excalibur grills were made in China and only sold in OC. I will never buy or recommend BBQ Galore again. Buyers beware. What your buying today may just be a quick money making grill with no future support. read more

Came here for some more of the John Henry spice rubs. Disappointed to find out that they have removed the testing shelves. However, the ever so helpful staff took some out from the back office for me to sample. I restocked the Pecan Rub, Jalapeno rub, and Lil Shag, and picked up a couple new ones,Papa Charlie's Greek rub and Texas Brisket. Don't waste your time. they have NOTHING in stock. I wanted a smoking stone for a small egg, they told me that they only carry larges and it would take a week to get a small. How can they not carry the stone for a grill they have on display??? the young lady who helped me was nice but didn't know anything, but who I am assuming was her manager was a complete jerk to us and her. He acted like he was doing everyone a favor simply by being there. when you asked him a question he would give a vague, useless answer, then walk away. They know nothing about smokers and couldn't answer any of my questions. I will never be going back. Terrible customer service and embarrassing selection. Kohls and Home Depot are better labelled a Barbecues galore than this place. Go next door to Lowes, they will probably have what you are looking for much cheaper. Bought a 38" Grand Turbo BBQ from Barbeque Galore and the knobs melted off. Corporate office refused to help and blamed the wind. It's an outdoor grill. Hot dripping plastic for control knobs on a gas BBQ is not my idea of a good product. Look eslewhere for quality and customer service. This is my first review of any kind on yelp, but after last night I feel compelled to write this. I attended the "4th of July Grill" cooking experience with two of my good friends and it was AMAZING!! Chef John Cardona is fun, personable, and a fantastic chef, and his helper Lauren is also fun and attentive to the guests. I learned how to make awesome tastin' rubs and sauces as well as techniques on how to prepare meat to maximize flavor before putting it on the grill. I now have the best recipe for Mac & Cheese and Red Velvet Cake that you can cook on a grill! It is the ultimate cooking class experience, because you get to watch a pro and ask questions while Chef does all the cooking. Then you get to sit back, relax and enjoy!! Long time fan of the original "Aussie" products. Unfortunately turns out that my expensive "lifetime warranty" burners that have burned through will no longer be replaced because of 2008 company bankruptcy. Current Taiwanese manufacturer/owner is making and selling same parts under same business name, at same location... but managed to "shed" warranty responsibilities through the takeover & "reorganization" BOO! they won't be getting any more of my money or recommendations. read more

This place has the best sales people ever....until you make your purchase. Then, they don't really care what happens to you. I spent nearly $3000 recently and Dan (the sales person) was very personable (horrible breath but nice)until I called to ask why my BBQ was delivered unassembled. I am a handicapped person. I do not buy anything unassembled. Dan didn't tell me the furniture and the BBQ needed assembly. I would have absolutely paid the extra money for it to be assembled had I known. When I opened the boxes, I felt like I had made a purchase at IKEA....there were that many pieces. I ended up hiring one of my neighbors. The worst part of it....his attitude was horrible when I called to speak to him about it. He accepted absolutely no responsibility and did nothing to make things right. He was extremely unprofessional and rude. Boy did I misjudge that one. I have been a long time customer of BBQ Galore but not any more. What a rude individual! read more
