I ordered through DoorDash and it was a complete fail. It took over 30 minutes for them to get my order ready for DoorDash (1 burrito bowl). The driver waited for over 15 minutes. The food was half the amount you would get from going and collecting the food yourself. It was cold as ice (which is odd because I know DoorDash came right to me from the place and it is 6 mls away so wtf). TLDR: I waited over 45 minutes to get my cold burrito bowl. I struggle to enjoy these "Mexican Subway" shops. I'm not sure if it's the lack of authentic food, or the fact that my food always seems so mild in temperature and flavor. The temperature thing really bothers me. Even if I choose all hot items, rice, beans, protein, peppers and onions... add a little cheese on top and it's still just barely warm. Add lettuce, tomato, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream and you've got yourself an ice cold lunch. What happened to this place? There is a list of 10 ingredients on the door that they are out of right now. It's hit or miss if your online order is correct, so definitely check it. I had a completely different salsa in my order when I got home. The cheese dip is laughable. The container is $4 and filled up less than halfway with clumps in it. The salsa is 90% water. They have gone up on prices which would be acceptable if everything else hadn't gone downhill. It is far less busy than it used to be, for good reason. We arrived 1 hour after opening. There were no hard taco shells ready....and the fryer was not on to cook them. Told us "it would be a while" because the fryer was not lit and the oil had not been heated. This tells me they aren't usually freshly prepared prior to service. I have visited this location twice recently, once as a customer, and once as a food delivery driver. As a customer, the service was acceptable, but the food was nothing but average. As a delivery driver I arrived at least 15 minutes after receiving the order, and was still required to wait almost 20 minutes for the food. and this was at 11:30 AM, before any kind of lunch rush. I understand that sometimes you have to wait, but that's 20 minutes for which I am not making any income, so I will definitely think twice before excepting any more orders from this location. read more

My husband and I ordered food and got a wait time of 45 mins. The food was not ready upon arrival and we are presently still waiting and additional half an hour with no food. When asked about the food they said they have a long line. Families that walked in when we walked in, have come and gone. Stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday. The concept is much like Mo's and Chipotle. Pick your item and ingredients. To me the items seemed fresher though. We both got the burrito bowl with spicy chicken. The steak looked good too. They offered romaine and spinach with a variety of chopped vegetables. They give you a huge bag of chips too. Don't forget the salsa bar. It was mighty tasty. If I could give a NEGATIVE stars I would. Which is unfortunate because we are regulars here, every single week. We let a LOT of things we see, slide bc we love the food. Just a few (out of MANY) things we saw this past time we were there -got there at opening and the counter they make food was already trashed -the trash cans looked like they hadn't been cleaned from the day before. -the bathrooms NEVER have soap (which how can your employees properly wash their hands when you don't have soap!?) -the employee that came out of the back looked like she was still eating something -there drink machine was out of the ONE diet option offered. -my daughter found a hair in her food bc the employee that came out eating had no hat or hair net -and last but important, they have gone up on their prices by $2-$3 EACH ITEM, we can look past the price inflation bc we understand, but we are NOT going to pay that much for poor service and dirty food -these are JUST what we see, who knows what is going on in the back where they prep the food!! Sometimes when we come the chicken taste like it was left over from the day before, so what else do they reuse from the day before?!? They used to have GREAT employees that were great, kept the place looking great, super nice, and cared about their job. Here lately (within last year-year and half) they can't seem to keep ANY employees, and the ones they have must not want to work bc it shows. We have showed up before and they be "closed" during normal days/hours, I guess bc they can't get people to work?!? Not sure what you all pay your people, but maybe if you paid them well, you would get better employees that want to be there and take care and pride in their jobs. This sanitation grade is 83.5 is one of the LOWEST grades I have EVER seen, and I eat at places based on grades. So as we left today we said goodbye to Barberitos (which we hate to do) and we will NOT be back bc we do not feel as though we want food poisoning due to the violations they were given. I must admit that I'm not a huge fan, if at all, of these type of Mexican "build it in front of you" restaurants. Not that they aren't decently good, but that I tend to want to find a authentic experience at this point in life! After visiting Barberitos I must admit that they are now my favorite in his category! The concept is the same, but the spicy chicken is fantastic! The healthy options are more plentiful than the competitors, and the spicy dressing that's offered is to die for! read more

Barberito's. Located in a strip mall. Plenty of parking. It was clean on my visit. The entrance and long wrap around maze to the ordering station reminds me of a crappy grade school lunch line. The service, about the same. These people think I knew what I wanted on my first visit and I had no clue how their system worked. What to order or how to order it. They did not offer to help me at all. And even after eating here I still have no idea how their system works. The menu is super complicated, and hard to figure out. Then the actual ordering. Well its ultimately flexible. To the point that I was just overwhelmed. You have multiple types of shells, multiple sizes. Then your meat. Different rice. Add on's. Sauces. Cheese. The list goes on and on and on and on and on. I was tired after just trying to get a couple burritos. Then add on's cost extra. Guacamole is $1 extra. Steak is extra. Sour cream? Oh, thats extra. Nearly everything I wanted had an extra cost associated with it. I finally managed to get a couple burritos after a monumental effort, and chips to go, which cost a whopping $20!!!! To put it bluntly this place sux. Its way expensive, and extremely hard to order food. You have to build everything from scratch. Then pay extra for things you would normally see on a burrito. Stopped going here in August when the new sanitation grade of 83.5 was posted. Management needs to step in and get this place back to where it was when it was my family's favorite place to go. Prices went up but the service went down. Seems to be new employees every week. Sanitation grade is the biggest problem and cannot be overlooked. The $10.99 chicken burrito was tasteless and could not detect any chicken in it. The vegetables or fresh but everything was very bland. A burrito is supposed to be flavorful and spicy. The staff was a bunch of rookies who did not know if adding guacamole was an additional charge or not. The cashier did not know how to use my debit card for payment. I love this place. The food is always good and the ingredients seem to be fresh. I love the quesadilla and nachos. The sweet tea is almost always spot on along with the cleanliness of the restaurant. I frequent this place about once a week and it's always a little different but still good. The only issue I have is the constant new faces. Sometimes the new hires aren't quite up to par on making meals as desired. But overall I recommend this place and will keep visiting. The owner is super cool, genuine, and is also local. read more

Today went for a delicious meal !! Love this team and usually the food is delicious. However, the food was extremely salty. When I commented to the team member that the food was salty, he explained that due to new management they had been instructed to use additional salt on the food.
