Food is amazing, service is great, and the ambiance is great. I love the drag shows they have, drag bingo is fun, and karaoke is great.

Great bar in Houston. Strong drinks for cheap. And the bartenders are adorable! Fun and inviting.

i said it once, i'm going to say it again;…read more i love high quality simple food! district 7 grill is that! as a california native, diner culture is in my blood!! (if you're into that) but very casual. the food was excellent!! crab cake benedict (8/10) american breakfast (8/10) strawberry milkshake (9/10) red sangria (9/10) great portions + great service = left happy district 7 grill has been added to my permanent brunch list! bonné appétit c.

He asked our food order first. We had to ask him if we could get drinks first. 3) When we did order we watched our drinks sit at the end of the bar for 10 min until I had to go retrieve them myself. 4) The food was INCREDIBLY mid for it being that expensive. Undercooked potatoes, overcooked chicken, not a single person at the table of 4 adults had a good thing to say about their meal 5) It took 2 FREAKING HOURS with no one there. When I say no one I mean completely empty 6) Trying to check out and leave. Our server who was looking for an upsell told us he saw a cookie in the back that was ready to go. Thanks for telling our 3 small children that at 9:30. Reluctantly after telling him no several times it was awkward enough to cave. Cookie took about 20 minutes to come out. We had been there for over 2 hours at that point and we had to just get up and leave. If you go to this restaurant after reading this, you deserve the horrible experience you will certainly have.

Outside has fans and is covered. They can get pretty full so it's best to have a reservation through open table. I've tried and enjoyed both the bubbly and margarita flights. Each time I go for brunch I either get the Huevas à la Mexicana or the French toast which could have different toppings with the season. The beans are also super flavorful and the French toast always done well and never soggy. I still haven't gone for dinner yet, but will try one day soon. Just a warning if you ever visit: please utilize valet! There are signs to remind you and some people still ignore it and end up getting towed from parking across the street.

It was hugee and pretty good but again kinda simple 7/10 And the ube pancakes were sooooo good and fluffy but crispy on the bottom. Not too much ube flavor but it comes with a nice coconut cream sauce! Would get again 8.5/10 Overall ambiance was amazing too. Nice outdoor seating and good vibes all around. Why 5 stars? Because it's elevated and unique cuisine…read more --- --- --- There is no shortage of restaurants you can enjoy in Houston, but a massive percentage of them are Tex-Mex and BBQ. Then there's the stuff you get plenty of in any city: pizza, chinese, sandwiches, chicken places, etc. But a real rare gem is ChopnBlok. It's West African cuisine, which is not exactly something you see on every street corner. But more importantly, this food is clearly made with love. It's not cheap: a couple of bowls and a tea comes out to nearly $100 after tip, but you're paying for real quality here. My dad and I both ordered a Golden Bowl and added steak. The steak was the best part. It had this amazing smokey flavor that made me wish I just ordered double steak instead of steak as an add on. I initially visited the ChopnBlok in POST, and was blown away with the flavors, so I've always wanted to come back and try their stand alone spot. If you're a person greatly adverse to spice, just be aware that there are some subtle hints of a kick in this dish, but I found it to be just the right amount: it let you know that it was there, but stayed in its lane.

Even though we went to the smaller location at The Post, we were still expecting the same level of…read morequality and experience associated with this establishment. I have to say that my dish was tasty, but there were several things that disappointed me. First, the prices were outrageous for what was offered. Second, the use of flimsy plastic utensils and cheap napkins felt out of place. You would think that a place with such a prestigious reputation would provide higher-quality disposable items, at the very least. Overall, while the food was good, the experience did not justify the cost. This will probably be a one-and-done visit for me.

*this review is only for crawfish, not their regular menu (which is amazing) *…read more We went here during crawfish season because they've been advertising their $8/lb crawfish, and we trusted that it would be great given the quality of their regular menu. We went on a Saturday for lunch. Hopefully this was just a one-off, but if you're looking for good Cajun boiled crawfish, this is not it. We started off with 6 lbs (group of 4) of their regular crawfish. First off, they put the Cajun seasoning on outside/shell (!!), which is a cardinal sin for Cajuns. They also minimally seasoned the boil, so the meat was lacking salt and flavor. We ordered 3 more lbs with the "wet sauce" (garlic butter), thinking the lack of flavor may be attributed to this being the first-ish batch of the day. Nope, the second batch was even less seasoned than the first. The sauce was good, but it didn't make up for the unseasoned meat. The crawfish were a good size, at least... Come on guys, I expect more from a Gulf Coast seafood restaurant!

Food - you really can't go wrong with anything you order here. This time the highlights were definitely the duck and the rice. I could have eaten the rice as a meal and been very happy. Drinks - wine and cocktails 10/10 Parking - you might get lucky w self parking in the back of the restaurant otherwise it's valet for $8 right now. Make a reservation and wear something nice. We weren't drinking so we did mocktails. Their selection is solid. I recommend the Million Dollar Baby and the New Madness. For the oysters, we did 2 of each: fried, smoked and roasted. I would low key just come back for oysters next time. They were that damn good. I was let down by the dry-aged burger. Even though I ordered the burger as medium, it was pretty dry. I've had better burgers from joints around town. Not worth $24. The Chicken entree was an absolute let down. I won't even elaborate. Some of our favorite entrees were the carrot soup and crab rice. Both were out of this world. For me the food was 3/5, service (aside from staff forgetting occasion of visit) 5/5, value 3/5. Also valet parking is $8. I'm still undecided if I'll be back. Need to recover from spending $275 on a single dinner. Ouch.
