I had an older woman and I asked for long layers and provided a picture. I asked her to just cut the dead ends which was about 1/2-1 inch, and I showed her what I wanted cut. I booked for a wash, cut, and style. When I was going to get my hair washed all she did was wet it and did not shampoo or condition my hair. then when she went to cut it she started cutting off 3 inches of hair, which is not what I asked for and was a very awkward length. After she cut it and my hair is still soaking she said she was finished. I told her that I had booked for it to be styled and she told me I was 30 minutes late and her next costumer was there. I had arrived nearly 10 minutes early and while my appointment was originally for 6 it got updated to 6:30, and I arrived around 6:20 per the salons request. In the end she took me at 6:30 and stopped at 6:45. I understand that mistakes can happen, but when I asked her about the booking being 6:30 and not have had my hair styled she was dismissive and waved me away. So in conclusion, I had to pay for a service I didn't fully get, a haircut much shorter than I asked for, and had to walk home with soaking wet hair

Where I used to go the color would always stain my forehead (even when she would apply Vaseline or whatever) and the answer I would get was.."that's just the color and can't avoid it", maybe it could just be the brand they use. Anyway, Kara is very careful and I never have stains around my face after she colors. She has a good eye and knows exactly what to do and she LISTENS. My hair was damaged and I didn't really have a good cut so It has been a journey but I have to say that my hair now has a great style for my face and is so healthy. I really feel that she is on this journey with me and I love that. As for the salon, it's very clean, I love the vibe, and the girls at the front desk are polite and helpful.

My friend took me across the street to Salon Gerard to fix it, and despite me not having an appointment, Chenelle stayed late to trim my hair to fix the unevenness and cliffs and expertly calmed me down as I was still in shock. I really miss my long hair, but Chenelle styled it so well that I was not completely distraught and even gave me tips on how to preserve the blowout. She's not only highly talented as a stylist but also incredibly empathetic and reassuring in stressful situations. I would recommend her to everyone.
