It's another bowl concept in Tampa, the price point around 15ish seems to be the new standard. Portions are solid, I'm not crazy about the daises. A spicy non mayo based sauce is needed. My husband and I are always looking for healthy takeout options, but usually we are usually disappointed with the taste of the food. Bare Naked Kitchen was such a pleasant surprise. Everything we have ordered at Bare Naked Kitchen has been so fresh and delicious! My favorite item on the menu is the Beet It Salad. This is one of the most vibrant and flavorful salad I have had. The salad is packed with chicken, mixed greens, roasted beets, goat cheese, avocado, cranberries, walnuts, watermelon salad, and a citrus vinaigrette. All of the flatbread pizzas are fantastic, especially The Bee Sting with mozzarella, fontina, soppressata, garlic chips, spicy honey and basil. We also like the Mini Pepperoni, Sausage + Shishito Peppers, and Moroccan Chicken pizza. There is an option to order cauliflower crust pizza, but I am a firm believer that cauliflower does not belong on pizza so I have not ordered any of the cauliflower crust pizzas. If you're looking for a sweet treat the chocolate brownie, homemade cookies and the berry cobbler are all fantastic. The only item on the menu that we are not a fan of are the hummus and the edamame dips. We thought the hummus was too chalky and the edamame dip was a bit on the bland side despite the avocado, ginger and jalapeño. My family and I stumbled on BNK while looking for a light/health lunch option in Tampa - not going to lie, the name definitely got our attention! The restaurant has a clean, crisp vibe with lots of open spaces and cool seating including swing seats by the front. The bowls are definitely the way to go! I had the Roll in a Bowl which was basically deconstructed sushi but with way more toppings. I particularly liked the addition of the golden beets and the wonton chips were a great touch! My mom ordered one of the lavashes but I think she preferred my bowl lol Also I don't drink so I can't speak as to the taste/quality, but my mom and sister were thrilled to find out they have cocktails on tap in case happy hour is your thing! read more

This was the best of the 3 items that I ordered. Taste was fresh and super yummy. I tried a $12 Bee Sting pizza. It's the definition of a flat crust pizza. Not many toppings, but very flat. I wouldn't get this again. I had a $16 Bird Named Herb plate. It was good, but the bowl appears to be the same amount of food for $3 less. Unless for some reason you want everything separated out on a plate then go with a bowl. I can't believe I spent $45 on lunch, but I was hungry and this spot hit the target. read more

I don't know how I went so long without visiting Bare Naked Kitchen, but I had dinner here with a friend and absolutely loved it. The aesthetics of this place are very beautiful - the decor is right up my alley - there is plenty of seating inside, and there is seating outside as well which is nice for the warm nights in Florida. There are a couple of swing chairs in the front portion of the restaurant that are super cute and great for pics. It was very clean and well kept, and it wasn't crazy crowded or noisy either. The staff was very nice and helpful - the young man who took our order genuinely raved about the place and that's a good sign when the employees love it as much as the customers seem to. The food: we ordered the lavash Hawaii five-o and the cauli crust potato & truffle - both were very, very good. The lavash and the cauli crust were crispy and light. The Hawaii five-o is sweet and savory - the kogi pork was so tasty with the sweetness of the pineapple. The potato & truffle was savory and reminded me of a loaded potato in pizza form - the truffle gave it a nice punch of flavor without overwhelming the other elements, and the crispy shiitake was soooooo delicious. The drinks: they have seasonal drinks and one of them was the honey lavender lemonade - I definitely recommend. Overall - fantastic experience. I love that bare naked has options for interesting bowls that are savory AND healthy, even more....I like that they allow you to customize the bowls they showcase on their menu. my favorite is the Tampa Hot, but ai am really trying to avoid fried stuff when I can, so when I go I ask for them to sub out the fried chicken for grilled, and in my opinion it makes the bowl even better. I just love the mix of the spicy sweet tangy sauce, pickles, and corn but I still feel good after I've eaten it since it's got my grilled chicken in there and I usually just need half and save the other half for later! I also love the fun drinks that they have on tap, my husband loves the cocktails that seem to be always in rotation and I like to try a kombucha here and there. my only wish is that we lived closer to this place so we could go more often. read more

Bare Naked Kitchen was a really great addition to South Tampa. I'd only ever gotten the Eve's Temptation and was totally obsessed with this salad. I've been affirmed that the apple cider dressing is dairy free every time I've gone since it opened and last week (maybe my 8th time eating there) I was told it's NOT! At first, I was shocked and slightly frustrated, but ultimately it didn't have enough of an impact on my stomach to make me not eat it again in the past. That's lucky for me though, so I informed Matt, who was awesome at the register, that multiple people on their staff had let me know before that it is dairy free, and he said he would pass along the feedback. I ended up getting the Salmon bowl instead and was very happy with my decision - this will probably be my new go-to at BNK. Pretty big portion, great flavor, colorful with lots of veggies. read more

They have chef created bowls, lavish, cauliflower pizza and salads. The place wasn't busy at all when we arrived and staff was very welcoming. Daughter got the Porkfection bowl, hubs got the No Miss Steak bowl and I got the cauliflower potato and truffle pizza. Ingredients are fresh and the food was overall good. Hubs disliked the more of a salad concept to his bowl. And daughter didn't like the huge chunks of pork. It should've been shredded for easier eating. My cauliflower pizza was good -- liked that the pizza crust was crisp and the taste was fresh. It was a bit bland and I think needed some salty flavoring to give it a step up. Ridiculously impressed with this place. Ended up here after another failed attempt at a nearby restaurant.. I had heard of BNK, I didn't know much about it, but the patient and friendly woman up front greeted us and helped us decide on what to order and even let us try several of their alcoholic concoctions. I didn't care for any of those, the 2 I tried were super sweet... I ordered the Beet It salad...it was really fantastic! Fresh ingredients and super tasty. I opted to get a different dressing that normally comes with that salad but I don't recall what it was, although I want to say it was the honey cider because that just sounds super yummy! The other order was for the Fit to be Thai'd bowl which looked lovely and heard it tasted very good too! Chef/owner Dru came to our table while we were eating, we chatted, he was very very nice and seemed very passionate about the food - we shared that we were enjoying it very much and I would definitely order to go or dine in again and again. I hope they maintain the level of friendliness and freshness of the food - this is a common concept, but they execute very very well! This place is super cute and the first stop we made when we arrived in Tampa. The place was clean and inviting and it had swings!!! My kids loved swinging while we waited for our food. They have so many options to chose from, it took us a while to order. The chic working the counter was so helpful and offered her recommendations to us. We ended up getting 2 kids flatbread meals- which is a regular size flatbread that comes with a drink. And we had a Roll in a bowl which is like a deconstructed sushi bowl. And we had the Steak Me Home chef plates- which reminded me of a bento box- it came with salad, steam vegetables, petite steak slices with flat bread, and potatoes. We all enjoyed our food. This just might be the best bowl in Tampa. Wow! My husband and I got the porkfection, no miss steak, and cauliflower potato soup. All were absolutely incredible. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and well-balanced. The broccoli in the porkfection was perfection! Unlike some of the other bowl spots in Tampa, the meat is cooked to order, so you can choose how done you want your steak. This does mean that you will have to wait a little longer or order ahead if you are on a time crunch. It also means the bowls are slightly more expensive than some of the other bowl spots, but we both agreed it was worth it. The ambiance is nice if you decide to eat in. There are warm lights throughout and plenty of seating. It also looks like you can get a free ice cream cone right now, which was a nice touch. We will absolutely be back for more of their incredible bowls! read more

I guess it's good to say when a place is always crowded, they must have some good food! Came in on a weekday for lunch and it was packed! I ended up ordering to go. The cashier and staff were very friendly in helping me order. I ended up getting the salmon bowl (Salmon says) which consisted of Norwegian miso salmon, jasmine rice blend, snow peas, bean sprouts, julienne carrots, red peppers, bok choy, edamame beans, with carrot ginger vinaigrette. (I subbed the snow peas for sweet potato's. It took about 15 minutes to receive my meal. Thennnnn i noticed the sauce poured all over the bowl and i am just not a fan of anything mayo based. Tbh i never thought a carrot ginger vinaigrette would've been mayo based. But the chef saw the sadness on my face and ended up making the dish all over again and to him, i am so thankful for that! The bowl was great, just needed to add some salt. I ended up adding soy sauce to it as well. I can honestly say, their complimentary soft serve ice cream was one of the best nondairy ice creams i ever had! The flavor of the month was salted caramel and it was soooo good! This is a great place for a fast casual lunch or dinner, especially if you have food restrictions. They have variety of plant-based, gluten free or keto-friendly foods and drinks, although they also have great "normal" food like pepperoni flatbread or chicken tenders. I went with my kids. My son had the pepperoni lavash. My daughter had the almond butter and jelly lavash (from the kids menu). I had the cobb salad with steak added on. My son and I enjoyed our meals. I think my daughter didn't like the almond butter, but she did enjoy eating all the strawberries and licking at the jelly. They have drinks in the cooler up front, but they have a soda dispenser in back, and they have some pre-mixed cocktails and wine available by tap too. We have dined in several times, and it has been a consistent experience. I really love this restaurant and its healthy options. It's different than just a regular bowl place around tampa. I enjoy the well drinks and other drinks available in the pantry. Their gluten-free pizza is really great. If you go and get a salad, be forwarned, they are huge!!! This newly remodeled quick-service restaurant is a great place to pick up a healthy bowl or delish dips. The beet salad is the perfect way to "eat the rainbow" of fresh veggies. Looking forward to trying something new on my next visit but it will be difficult to top the beet bowl. The indoor dining area is bright yet cozy. There are plenty of tables with adequate spacing. This is an update to my original review titled, "BEWARE if you have a tree nut allergy". The owner posted a comment several weeks after my initial review that said in part, "Please email me or text me so I can personally reach out to further express how sorry I am. This is unacceptable." I did email him on Jan 11 and explained that eating out is a stressful experience for those with food allergies and how disheartening it was when my daughter wasn't taken seriously by BNK's staff. I also said that my daughter, her husband, and I realize that mistakes happen and forgive and forget when she's treated with respect and care. Unfortunately, that didn't happen at Bare Naked Kitchen. To close the case on this, I never got a response from Matt Martinez, the owner, or anyone from BNK. I guess he wasn't as sorry as his response appeared. This place is amazing. Way better than fresh kitchen and sweet greens (ps sweet greens gave me food poisoning). The services is really good. They check on you and bring you your bowl. The inside is much cleaner than other bowl places in Tampa and the actual food quality is great. This will be my new go to place. read more

We've been to Bare Naked Kitchen twice (maybe next time I'll get pictures), but so far all the food has been pretty well received. The roll in a bowl is a great option for those living some seafood and veggies, but the go-to is the Hawaii Five O. It's a flatbread pizza with pineapple and kalua pork. This version of pizza with pineapple is the best pizza I've ever had with pineapple. The pepperoni flatbread pizza is a meh (really the only reason for the four stars) and the craft soda is meh as well (root beer is the only good option) Bare Naked has a great costal California vibe going on, and the fast casual atmosphere perfectly matches the food. read more

Had our first meal here the other day and really enjoyed the visit. I loved the menu options and thought their kid menu was healthy with favorable options at a good price. I noticed their cocktails pre made, all in house. Which were available to purchase in a bottle to go. I was offered the opportunity to sample a few of the drinks they had on tap and all tasted good. Nice soda and tea offerings in the back as well. The service was quick and we were checked on a few times by staff while we dinned. The place is decorated beautifully and had a cozy feel.
