Maybe it's really good when you've had tons of drinks in your system but I did not enjoy it. It completely lacked flavor and seasoning. Always so consistent! Great pizzas, kind service, and clean establishment. Also the only reliable late night dinner spot. The chicken pesto is delicious- real herby pesto not from can. Some places surprise you - man, oh man, did this one knock it out of the park. Very dingey-appearing dive-bar but take a look at the walls and you'll realize this place has got some HISTORY and CHARACTER. Lots of fun trinkets all over, super beautiful space with three stories - not to mention the food was DELICIOUS. We got the Baja Chihuahua and Thai Chicken pizzas - both super unique flavor profiles and cooked to perfection. THAT PEANUT SAUCE ON THE THAI CHICKEN ugh to die for. My cousin got a soft pretzel appetizer too - which deceivingly came with three pretzels for the price of what would only get you one at the Raven's game and they were QUALITY. Absolutely love this place. AMBIANCE - nice and comforting dim lighting with a fire place in the back. Right when you walk in, the bar is to your left and seating in the back. There's an upstairs with a small second bar and seating as well. Music is present but not too loud - you can actually have conversations without screaming SERVICE - Dakota and Lenny 10/10 bartenders. First time trying their carry out and I'm surprised I didn't know about this place before! We live right around the corner, so just walked over to grab three of their pizzas: cajun dog, veggie dog and wing dog. All three were fantastic. The prices are very reasonable, ingredients are fresh, and pizzas are well seasoned. I like that the base and crust were thin and fluffy. Just the right amount of cheese. We will definitely be coming back for more! We didn't dine in so can't really comment on the space, but based on a quick look around I thought it was cozy, cute little bar. Clean. We were excited to try Pub Dog as we heard great things about their pizza from friends. We came in and had a perfect seat next to their cozy fire place. Our waitress was extremely attentive and kind and let us try a few different beers to sample, but when she brought over the sample, there was fresh lipstick stains on my glass. Then when we received our pizza (which was very good!) there was a piece if plastic on top of one of the pies. They definitely need to work on their cleanliness. Can't remember the last time I was here but came here on a Friday night. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks which came out two per order (awesome!). I got the hard cider first and then the iced tea later but 4 drinks for the price of 2 can't be beat. We also each got a pizza - Chicken Pesto for me while he got a Dog Pound. Love their pizza and beers. Federal hill is such a nice little area where you can grab a bite to eat, grab a beer and walk around. Cross street market is right across the street and the orioles stadium and ravens stadium isn't far away either. I tried a variety of their pizza and my favorite is still their margarita pizza and their pupperoni. For beers I usually go for the white dog or the blonde dog. Note: no dogs allowed anymore inside. Pug dog does 2 things- beer and pizza, and they do a great job! Their beer is brewed on site and they have a ton of options to choose from. As a bonus, they're all 2-fers and very reasonably priced. Pizza is personal sized and with many options including pesto chicken, Thai style and Baja California. It's 3 floors so there's plenty of seating. The servers were all friendly and helpful. We stumbled upon this bar while waiting for a dinner reservation in the area, and ended up having a great time. Pub Dog is your typical local dive, but with their own brews on tap and VERY reasonable prices! Being from the northeast, we were totally shocked by their two-fer deals on drinks (and we definitely took advantage...). The bartender was awesome and offered recommendations on his favorite brews, and even mixed a few of the fruity ones together to make a custom one just for me. This place really has a personal touch - the bartender even asked our names so that he would know what to call us while we were hanging out at the bar. It's a doggy dog world. Seriously, everything here is named after dogs. So forgive me if I forget a couple names of the beers, they are two for $4.50. Sharing is caring when purchasing a beer and getting two, is one for me and one for you! We ordered the beers, lotsa of them as you can see from my pics. They are all pretty much fantastic, some light and some heavier with blends in between. I didn't meet a beer I didn't like. So we started with the pretzel, a favorite of mine. Compliments are spicy mustard and pretzel salt. So tasty I took the remaining pretzels back with me! The pizza we ordered was the Atomic Dog, yet without the hot sauce and peppers which my guy didn't want. It was so good and so cheap. I visited Pub Dog with my family over the Thanksgiving holiday and was pleasantly surprised with everything -- from the great wait staff to the double drink specials! Pub Dog has this awesome special where you can order two beers for $4.50! Beers range from fruity delights like peach and raspberry to IPAs. They also have some bottled beers, but they mostly push their Pub Dog brand. Everything was so good that I was tempted to bring home a growler with me. The food is overall good, but the pizzas taste very similar to the garlic bread, which I only noticed because we tried both. The staff was very attentive and the waitress especially nice, ending our night with a round of shots! We'll definitely be back on our next visit--thanks Pub Dog! read more

Pub Dog is an awesome little pub inspired by McSorley's Old Ale House up in NYC. Naturally, they serve beers in pairs and even make delicious personalized pizzas. My only wish is that they'd introduce some french fries to the menu! The crowning achievement of this place, however, is the staff who runs it. I recently went here with some friends, and we received amazing service from Sophie! She truly went above and beyond for my group. By the end of the night, it felt like she was another friend at the table. We will definitely be coming back when she is working again! read more

Love this place! Two beers for $4.50? Dog themed inside? A ton of different selections for pizza? You honestly can't go wrong. They have a bunch of their own beers on tap, which are great. They have some fruity ones, like blueberry and peach, and they also have amber ales, stouts, and more. They also have ones where you can merge two different beers together into one, and they're not too bad! My friend got the stout mixed with raspberry beer, and it was actually nice because it made the stout less heavy, and you can definitely taste the raspberry too. The pizzas were good too! They're a nice size for an individual pizza. I had the old yeller pizza which was delicious, and my friends were all happy with their pizzas too, so I don't think any of them will disappoint. The place is super big too! It's three stories, and the top floor has shuffleboard which is always fun. read more

And they're all personal size so if you're here with friends order a couple different pies to share. So far I've had the Cajun dog pizza, Thai Chicken Pizza and the Stinking Rose pizza. Some of the chicken was a little dried out but overall good pizza! I think the beer is the real reason I love this place. They offer a special where you order two of the same beers at the same time and it's only $4.50. The mugs are kinda small, but still a good deal! I had the blonde dog and really liked it -- kinda reminded me of a Blue Moon. Also be sure to try some of their Mixed Breeds beers which are 1/2 and 1/2 of the beers on the menu. I really wanted to love this place, but it was just okay. It's seat yourself, which is fine, but after we sat ourselves it took 15 minutes to get a server to come over to us. They don't have much on their menu in terms of appetizers (just 3), and other than pizza they just have salad. The garlic cheese bread was not very good, it was basically a cheese pizza cut up without the tomato sauce. The pizza was better, we got the cajun dog and added mushrooms. Visiting from Brooklyn, first time in Baltimore. Was searching for a local brewery/gastro pub and landed on this for the prices and close proximity to the casino where I was staying. Ate and drank at the bar on a Sunday around 5pm. Service was fantastic, the girl ( didn't get name) was very attentive and friendly. Had at least four of their beers... Didnt particularly stand out but we're certainly evenly balanced and crisp. The homemade pizza was delicious and fresh, and different. Every option on the menu looked different and delicious, it was hard to make a decision, landed on the Atomic Dog... Amazing. All in all great experience, would go back. read more

Not really sure why everyone loves this place so much. I've been twice and had very ok experiences. First time, the bartender misheard what I ordered (it was loud so it wasn't that big of a deal), but when I mentioned it wasn't right, she acted as if it was the end of the world. Second time, the bartenders were nice and allowed me to charge my phone by finding me a plug. Thank you for that! I don't think the beers are that wow/great/fantastic of a deal, though. I'd like to know how big those mugs really are. I'm guessing 10-12 oz, which means you're probably getting 8-10 oz in your pour, which means 16-20 oz for $4.50. It's not that it's expensive, it's just not the amazing deal everyone thinks it is. It's all about the packaging and marketing, folks! This is a decent spot on Cross Street to grab some pizza with a group of friends. It's right next to the 8 X 10, so it's a good pit stop while spending a night out. It has three floors, plenty of seating, and is filled with pictures of dogs. What's not to love? The third floor has shuffleboard, so make sure to head all the way up to the top if that's your kind of thing. The food and beer are pretty average. At first, it seemed like the beer was a great deal because it's advertised as being a BOGO deal, but in reality you're just getting slightly more than a pint split between two glasses. I don't really get it. I ordered the Thai chicken pizza and it was pretty awful. It was slathered in Hoisin sauce and tasted like overly-salty instant ramen. I felt pretty sick afterwards. Other pizzas looked and smelled great, though. Despite my pizza horror story, I think that this place is worth a visit. read more
