I took my westie here and I will never be returning. I came to pick him up and the groomer in the front gave us attitude about how hard hams nails were.she rolled her eye and was like oh yea he was a lot of work. when I walked in she was grooming another dog with no patience and his butt half way in the air. She was working in the first station in the front. , and started just buzzing this little dog and flinging him around...the dog was a small 6 pound dog. You can tell her had no patience or love for what she was doing.I peeked in the back and it looks like a the pound dog shelter in the back with old rusty cages stacked on top of each other.My dog busted out of there to the front office to get out of the crate.We paid and got in the truck and my dogs toe was bleeding all over the truck. His right nail got clipped to the quick. He is a westie and they cut his eyebrows off and shaved way to much around his eyes it looks bald.. as in I can see his pink skin underneath and it looks patchy. It wooo my dog from when we picked him up at 4 to 11ish to shake it off.. and he's not like that he's a happy go lucky, happy all the time,wants to play all the time westie.There is a really good mobile groomer that is the same price as these guys I should of used instead.. well at least now I will be telling everyone not to go to Grooms uBy Leah. read more

Do not take your dog here! This was our 1st time at this groomer. We get our doodle groomed every 6 weeks. They did not call me or tell me anything about it when I picked him up. He is cut down to the raw skin behind both ears. After calling to talk to them about it, the lady was SO unprofessional and even hung up on me. What kind of place are you running over there? Finally I found the right place for my two baby. I just move here to cedar park and don't know where to go for my dogs grooming. I tried 2 other place and don't like the way my dog looks when they left. Their nails are sharp not file, hair cuts are messy. They also looks scared when I pick them up. I got recommended to Leah and glad I make the call. She even take my dog in on Sunday when she off. She takes great care of my dog. They are so beautifully cut and clean. My German Shepherd can be hard to handle, but Robin knew exactly how to make her comfortable. She clearly knows how to handle dogs and it is easy to see she loves them. My dog was traumatized by his last groomer -- they accidentally removed his dew claw. I was pretty nervous to take him to a new place because I didn't want him to have another bad experience. We decided to check out Grooms By Leah based on all the wonderful Yelp reviews. Good news: the reviews before mine were all accurate. My dog's cut was super cute, (they even gave him a tie!) and they really took their time with my dog and let him get groomed at his own pace. Robin was my dog's groomer and she was very nice to me and incredibly sweet with my dog. I really appreciated her calming not only my dog, but for putting me at ease too. She did tell me that he got a little nippy on his paws, but we are hopeful that once he has a few more good experiences under his belt that he will forget all about his previous trips. We used Bark Avenue before it changed hands,, and were always very pleased with the results and the way in which our dogs were handled. But since then, there have been several times I have made an appointment over the phone and then was told on that day, that there wasn't an appointment. My little Bichon was shaved whenever that happened (due to lack of time, I am sure). Yesterday, we were told again that we didn't have an appointment for our Labradoodle, but they would "work him in." Three of us in the house heard me make the appointment. When he came home, they had shaved him head to toe, and he hit his water bowl like he hadn't had water all day. He has a large water bowl and I had to refill it almost 3 times in the first 30 minutes. He also acted strangely...traumatized. I am sure they just put him in a kennel and left him there all day...with no water. I know for a fact that they groomed him last, so they didn't take their time with him. The first time I called...John jumped on and got me all set up to take care of our dogs with the most comforting of ease!!! He was so helpful and so kind...I felt so excited for our first visit! We are a few visits in at this point and I am just so thankful to have found them. Every time the dogs have come home they have smelled SOOO GOOD and they have worked so hard to get their nails short and their coats shiny, clean and furminated it's just incredible!! They truly listen to what you would like for your babies and with care and attention to the wellbeing and love for them they make it happen. I Love Grooms by Leah! The people who work here are very friendly and very good with the animals. The environment is calm which helps the animals acclimate. I have to say I gave them 2 chances. my dog has been going there for 2 years when it was Leah's grooming and we loved it. Since the ownership changed and became Bark Avenue, the pricing is high compared to Petco, Pet Smart and other places. I gave them 2 chances and I m done. To start they want $70.00 for a bath, then add on 25.00 for Furminator treatment and then a$10.00 to dremel nails. also not near as friendly as when it was Leah's...we all have a choice where we spend our money, I will be spending mine elsewhere! read more

I only bring my yorkie mix to get groomed here. The staff is very friendly and they genuinely care for your fur babies. My pup has separation anxiety and hates being alone, so they took her to the backyard and played fetch with her. We have been taking our pets to Grooms by Leah for several years now and have always been happy! Robin the owner is alway trying to fit us in when we have special events and have forgotten that our little ones look terrible and they will have to hid our in a bedroom! The pups come out looking like little kings and queens and they know it! They prance around showing off how pretty they look and feel! They certainly know how to tell us off and let us know not to wait so long next time and drop us off and let Robin and her staff take them! I also found out today that she has started overnight boarding! They have cameras with night vision on the dog all night & day so someone is monitioring them 24-7! I have a BIG golden who needs a bath monthly. I found out the groomer i was using was using "dry" shampoo so I had to find a new one. I turned to yelp and came across Bark Avenue. I requested a quote and the owner call me within 60 seconds. He was really friendly and answered all my questions and was even able to accommodate a late week appointment. When I took him in the ladies there were SO friendly and welcoming. They calmed him down and were very loving to him. I dropped off at 745 and he was done about 130. I couldn't believe how great he looked (and smelled) when I got there. They even performed a de-shedding on him ( I didn't even know what that was.). He was calm and playful so he obviously enjoyed his time there. Later that afternoon, they called to make me aware of a hot spot they found on his tail and wanted to make sure I knew about it. They do a great job grooming my Shih Tzu. They always double check to make sure they are doing every we need. She is not nervous when I drop her off like she was at other groomers. The only good thing I can say about here is the location. I took my morkie in and she had mats inher hair but not horrible ones. Pet smart had gotten out worse but they called me and said they had to shave her. Ok I kinda expected that but they barely trimmed her head and it was not even and looked horrible.
