I love real BBQ... so I had to check this little place out in Plymouth. The owner/chef and I think his wife were working and they were very nice. Place is spotless clean. I got the Memphis rib tray with collard greens and baked beans. Ribs were perfect served dry (which I like) and I added the spicy bbq sauce, which was perfect. Sides were very good. Can wait to go back and try the Brisket or one of the combo trays. Great spot!!! read more

My first visit recently. My impression was that the dining room needs some TLC - you can have utility and warmth! The staff were great! The food better!! The sauces are amazing and the Caribbean jerk chicken is as legit as it comes. When I tell you that I would drive through Boston traffic to go to this place it is because I have. Wow! This place is awesome! Went in and pretty much got it all. The brisket was juicy and tender, and the pulled pork was flavourful. The mac and cheese was very creamy and delicious and the cornbread was moist and sweet. The beans and coleslaw were a pass for me, not as much flavour as I hoped for. But the star of this place is their ribs! When I tell you they were the best ribs I have ever had i'm not exaggerating!! I have been to a ton of bbq places and rib cook offs and these top them all. This place is LEGIT! House made sauces, sides, meats, pickles, everything. I had a pulled pork sandwich w/ a side of tots-phenomenal. Quality lean pork, smoked to perfection! Was excited to hear about a BBQ locally, (at first we thought it was for dogs, odd with bark in its name) but this was so very disappointing in every way.‼. Inconsistent, people aren't very friendly . Limited menu, (no plans to expand) sauces offer inside not labeled well nor described as to what they are which is mild, med, hot, sweet, etc. Food not consistent nor that good! Extremely fatty & kinda dry & overcooked Found bones in a sandwich, brought to there attention the response was "oh my husband does the meat and dies the cutting/spreading but doesn't check for bones" I hope no future customers choke!! I recently became aware of this place and decided to try it out. I had heard good things about their fried chicken sandwich from an acquaintance and thought that I should give it a try. I got a fried chicken sandwich and a brisket plate (with sides of their collard greens and tangy coleslaw). Everything was delicious. The chicken sandwich was juicy with a nice crisp coating, the brisket was tender (their mop sauce had a nice subtle heat), the collard greens had big meaty chunks of pork, and the tangy coleslaw was perfect - it had just the right amount of "tang." Great new BBQ restaurant in North Plymouth. Good location as easy access. We tried the St Louis ribs and pulled pork mac and cheese. Ribs were perfect. Very meaty and flavorful. Tender-Just the right bite in my opinion. Came right off the bone. Sauces available were delicious. The sweet was my favorite. Sides were mac cheese and coleslaw. Both creamy and delicious. Also the pulled pork with mac tasty. I personally needed a little sweet/hot sauce on mine. Lastly, I am not big on cornbread but theirs is tasty almost dessert like. read more

Bark-Barbq is delicious! We went about a month ago for lunch and loved it so much that we brought dinner home. I did takeout last week for my husband's birthday (he requested it) We got a 3 way combo of pulled pork, ribs and prime brisket. We had 2 sides of the potato salad it was so good. Their cornbread is wonderful too. I also had to try the wings. They are so friendly and kind. We met Janice one of the owners and her niece Kayla. What sweethearts. After 3 trips to Bark BBQ I feel pretty confident in rating them 5 stars. For our first trip we tried the burnt ends appetizer and a brisket/ribs combo plate. We are not 'salad eaters' by any stretch and could not finish this meat-a-palooza between the two of us. The ribs had the perfect pull and the brisket was fall apart delicious. The sauce station is stacked with a good variety of heat/sweet and I think they are home made. We next tried the hot chicken sandwich which is served Nashville style; and with pickles and a side of fresh crunchy slaw it had a good level of heat but something to cool it off-delicious. Today we tried the beef babacoa special sandwich with fried plantains- home run! Go and get yourself some! They have a good variety of beers and other beverages. Stopped for lunch on our way back from the Cape. After having some disappointing bbq on the Cape, our expectations were low. But we were impressed! The brisket and burnt ends were great! The fried chicken sandwich was flavorful, but could've been a little crispier. Potato Salad was good- cool and refreshing- and the mac & cheese was nice and thick. The cornbread actually tasted like corn and was still moist. My favorite sauce was the Alabama White, but the others were all good too. We'll stop by here whenever we're in the area. read more

Having had bbq in Kansas City and Texas, I was so excited to try this restaurant for an early dinner. I love great bbq. Unfortunately, all around the experience was horrible. It was a very unwelcoming environment. The restaurant has a limited menu and ran out of their chicken. . The staff noted this was common. In addition, the cashier was incredibly hostile and confrontational. As a family that often frequents many of the wonderful restaurants in town, I'm shocked at her behavior. I observed this with the customers in line ahead of me and it included my experience as well, even though I placed a large order. In addition, we found the food completely bland, this included the ribs, cole slaw, mac and cheese and potato salad. There was no seasoning what so ever. Needless to say, we won't be back. There's many excellent restaurants in town that value out business. read more

Honest review. I really wanted to love this place. The food was in between okay and good. The bbq was fairly decent but the sides had NO flavor! Especially the beans. You would think a bbq place would make good beans.The Mac n cheese wasn't great either. The cornbread wasn't bad and the collard greens were the most impressive side. They also sold out of brisket early so we didn't even get to try it. Will probably go back again for thr brisket but I won't get any side dishes. read more

Very happy to have a decent BBQ place in Plymouth. I ordered brisket and ribs, the ribs won the race but the brisket was pretty darn good. Love the rub they put on the meat, it was very tasty. For sides, I ordered the potato salad and mac & cheese. The potato salad was pretty standard. There was some kind of herb in the mac & cheese that I didn't care for, but I got over it. I'll be back. It seems weird that they close at 5 pm on Saturdays. If you have a hankering for BBQ on a Saturday, you'd better plan your visit! read more

My girlfriend and I came from CT to Plymouth to visit family and bring my grandmother to a baby shower so I thought with time to kill we'd visit a local restaurant and try the food. The restaurants dining room itself was clean and space was limited, but I did get to enjoy watching golf as I ate my meal. I ordered the brisket with beans and Mac n cheese, my girlfriend got Mac n cheese with pulled pork. Both of our meals were delicious, we couldn't stop saying "omg" with every bite we took. The brisket was tender enough to cut through with a spoon and would melt in your mouth as soon as you took a bite. The Mac and cheese was rich and creamy, and the cornbread was moist and tasty. The staff was polite and friendly, providing a wonderful environment for us to enjoy our delicious food.
