My friends have been bragging about this place since the soft opening. They were saying it's the best. I thought it was because it was down in Plymouth. I drove over an hour with skepticism in my mind. Opening the door, my senses went into overdrive and I felt like a small child in a large toy store on my birthday. I scanned the room. The people at the tables were eating in a trance. The atmosphere and vibe could not have been more appropriate for a hip barbecue joint. They have chalkboard menus hanging from the ceiling that are broken down into options like their menu. Behind the staff is a massive stainless steel hood doing its best to steal away the smell of the heavenly flavors coming from the enormous smoker. The chef, turns out to be one of the owners, starts the line and cuts your meat your meat before your eyes. Next you move down the line to choose your sides. The lovely woman servicing at this station smiles the entire time. Not to skip ahead, but I kept looking back and she was not just smiling at me or other customers. You can see, she is just generally a happy person and very happy to be working there. You end the line at the register, where the other owner greets you with a raspy voice and vibrant energy. Here she tempts you with sweet treats. I didn't even want the treat, but was having such a fun time ordering that I got caught up in the moment. All of this magic comes served in a tray. Once I placed the brisket in my mouth, I quickly understand why the other customers were in a trance. Honestly, I don't know why they give you a knife. You don't even need a fork to cut this meat. It just separates and melts in your mouth. The sides. The sides were freshly made and you know immediately that nothing is pre-made. They have sauces for dipping or drowning your food. I took samples of all of them to dip My cornbread to taste them. Wow! Super hot to tangy to creamy and even an Asian style ginger soy sauce. I got there at 6:30pm on a Friday. I watched as the chef announced they were sold out of Burnt Ends, then brisket, then ribs and so on. At one point, another guy goes to the door to lock it for the night. I noticed that that they didn't just put up a sign saying closed. This guy met each customer at the door and had some type of conversation with them. At first you could see the disappointment on their faces, even one angry fella, but by the time he was done chatting with them, they shook hands/bumped fists or just smiled at each other. I overhead the comments he made to the chef - "they said they would be back earlier tomorrow!" I'm certainly going back! I'm not sure if it will be tomorrow, but when I do, I want to shake all of their hands and find out their names. Amazing food!! And an awesome design. Whoever designed this place should leave their business card, as well. The energy / vibe is excellent walking in. By the time you are walking out, it's euphoric! read more

We ordered the 5-person Football Package for today's Patriots vs Dolphins game. We got a full rack of ribs, a tray of pulled pork, baked beans and Mac n Cheese in honor of our new QB Mack Jones. Two of us picked it up at 1pm thinking we would get back to the house and have a few beers before the game. We made it to the first red light and broke into the ribs! The car smelled too good not to try some. We felt bad. Then we made it to the highway on ramp, but pulled over beforehand and made ourselves each a pulled pork sandwich Oh my God, if you haven't tried their food, do yourself a favor and go! Edit: after last week's fiasco, our buddies wouldn't let us go to pick up the food for the Pats vs JETS. But apparently I hang out with hypocrites, because they didn't make it back to the house without having a "rib-to-go!" New Orleans isn't the biggest challenge next week. It's whether or not we can find someone to pick up our food without dipping into the goods! Anyone know any vegetarians that don't have plans on Sundays!? read more

My wife and I visited during the soft opening. We were blown away. We tried pretty much everything and it was all delicious. Brisket is the most tender I have ever had. Extremely flavorful without being overpowered with smoke. Mac & Cheese was incredible as were the rest of their sides. Their homemade sauces were what really makes it. Try each one. Totally worth it! Also - Don't skip the hush puppies. The spicy honey sauce that they are served with is amazing and very unique. Cool atmosphere and the owners were so warm and welcoming. The only drawback was that we brought home leftovers and our kids proceeded to eat them all on us. Will be making a trip back soon! read more

I didn't even know this storefront opened, but my friend north of Plymouth had them cater a party and everone there raved about the food. What options did i have? Had to go! I haven't had a hush puppy since I lived in Texas years ago. They were hot and tasty served with hot honey. We shared them but he tried to "hog" his half rack of very meaty, very tasty ribs. I loved my pulled pork. I tried all the sauces and loved them all. Our meals came with cornbread and two sides. We both chose beans and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was thick southern style. The beans were meh. Needed more seasoning. They were all out of brisket so we'll have to gladly go back. read more

I went to Bark BBQ with my husband and kids. Everything was amazing, exceeded our expectations. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is super organized and friendly. We had the brisket, ribs and pulled pork. Everything was delicious, great seasoning and cooked to perfection. For sides we had mac and cheese, baked beans and collard greens. My husband said the greens were the best he's ever had and the mac and cheese and beans were fantastic! My kids (who can be very picky) raved about their meals the entire ride home. Amazing BBQ! I've spent a lot on of time in Kansas City and Bark is on par with the best I've ever had. I tried the ribs, brisket, jerk chicken and pulled pork. Everything was absolutely excellent! Well seasoned, super moist, great bark and smoke ring. There is a sauce station to get your own sauce so you can add as much or little as you'd like (which I appreciate). There was about five different sauces all very good. All in all this is a five star experience. Friendly and helpful staff and and absolutely amazing BBQ. read more

I was at Bark BBQ this weekend and it was by far the best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had. The mac and cheese is very tasty as well. To finish my meal I got a s'mores cookie which I would very much recommend. The staff is very friendly and I love the vibe of the restaurant. read more
