Sweet! I can now get my Barro's fix closer to home. I'm sure most of you already recognize this as THE best local pizza chain we've got in Phoenix, and the thick, flavorful crust as well as awesome toppings are delicious for lunch or dinner. Came here for a nice lunch special...two people dining in with two slices and a small drink each came out to just a bit under $10. That's less than you'll probably spend at any of the other options in this plaza. I'd tried the special "hot wing" variety with chicken and buffalo sauce and it was tasty! Just make sure the pre-made pizzas aren't getting too cold. Pizza should always be a hot lunch! There are also tons of seats here, and the place is VERY clean. Sad experience with this location tonight. Ordered just after 6, verified the address 3 times over the phone with the person who took the order along with the apartment complex name and gate code. Got a call from the driver at 7:30 that he couldn't find our place and the gate code wouldn't work. The person who took the order had a completely absurd address and the wrong gate code (which wouldn't have worked at the wrong address anyway, but that is moot). Pizza shows up 5 minutes before 8. Pizza and wings were cold, the delivery guy was reasonably flustered with the restaurant, but sincere and apologetic. I called the restaurant to let them know our food was cold due to the address being way off and was told I was being transferred to a manager only to have the same person (also the person who took the order) come back on the line and say they'd be able to give us 25% off our next order. I told her I didn't feel that was quite right, and she said that's all they could do. We frequent Barro's. It's our favorite Arizona chain, they have our favorite wings and wonderful pizza, but the service and staff tonight was horrid, and because of that our food was too. I credit the delivery driver for his trying to smile through his own frustration and not blame anyone, but this definitely makes me think we might need to find a different place for weekly pizza and wings read more

I was a customer ever since I moved to Glendale, until recently. The food has always been good, when it's hot. Their delivery has always been hit or miss when it comes to delivery times. More than half the time, if they say delivery will be 45min-1hr., then it's a safe bet that delivery will be closer to an hour ensuring your food will be piping luke-warm. Last time was the final straw. Ordered a pizza, extra cheese only. Again, 1 hour arrival time, however this time pepperoni was on the pizza. I called thinking they gave me the wrong order, but they wrote it down wrong. They apologized and offered to re-do the order (which meant I would have to wait another hour for dinner), so I just asked for a refund, which they agreed to and apologized again. Never got the refund. It's a shame, because otherwise their food is good. But delivery is way too unreliable, and if they can't refund a $20 despite the fact that they said they would, then why bother. read more

Always good food and good service. BUT! We didn't care much for the sleeveless cook in the back, as he was moving around and reaching for stuff the view of his hairy arm pits was, well, it reminded me of like an old fashioned cook from a greasy dinner. So disappointed..... This location is the one closest to our house and it USED to be pretty decent. Lately, however, it is been kind of lackluster. We ordered 2 small salads and 12 wings. There was hardly any lettuce in the bins, and what was there was frozen. The other options were ok, but the whole bar was a disaster. But, eh, it happens...although the lettuce should always be restocked. This is the second time this exact scenario has happened. Also, the wings......we ordered 12 and got 11. We were told 10 minutes and it was actually 25. This is also the second time this has happened. I am forgiving gal, but I am not sure I will be back. Also, why are there always several dirty tables every time I come in....on top of that there was a Wetzel's pretzels napkin on the floor the whole time I was there, kinda weird. read more

This was one of my favorite places and about a year ago when they were still located across from the highschool my husband and I went for Friday dinner My husband and I were treated like second class citizens Never have I been so hurt for him We ordered our food and not only treated disrespectfully but after 35 minutes and everyone else being served our pizza sat on the counter and we ended up going to get it had to go and get all we needed as well no one brought us anything I don't know if the staff was just not worried about us or because we were the only biracial couple in there my husband didn't even want to eat we ended up leaving all the food and will not ever eat there again Arizona being a melting pot of cultures and I'm sure we aren't the only couple thats biracial entering the establishment but by far you have lost devoted customers Very disappointed in this place But the food was always amazing read more

I love the pizza here but every time I come here I have a problem... The girls in the front are rude, my order is wrong or it takes 30 minutes for a small pizza when I'm one of two tables in the building... We visited this Barros on a Wednesday. We usually go to the Barros in Laveen. We never expect bad service. I had to find a review for this location for simply bad service from a cashier name Maddy. We made our order frm the lunch menu, usually not our menu but we tried. She immediately gave us attitude, with a snotty stare and batting her unnecessary 1inch fake eyelashes. No patience is this employee, no customer service skills. Until I asked for her name she seemed to tone down a bit..but still rolling her eyes.. we felt she was racist.. Ordered for delivery. When it came over 15 minutes late called to check the status and was told our for delivery and will be there sometime. When it did arrive all food was cold and grease had settled on the bottom. May not have helped the driver took the food from the back of a pick up truck. read more

This Barro's location is brand new and after talking to the manager for a little, I think it will be around for a long time. The staff is motivated, friendly, and wanting to succeed. I had one of there many lunch specials, 2 pieces of pizza and a drink for $4! Hard to beat that deal anywhere. The pizza was fresh out of the oven, and were a decent size. Like all other Barro's they do have a salad bar with is included with some of their specials if you would rather have a fresh salad. I enjoyed it and will be there for lunch again. read more

My three stars are based on today's visit only. I would probably normally give it 4. Barro's is my favorite pizza place in town. I have been to this location several times, but today was the first time I used the restroom. I needed to change the baby's diaper, but to my surprise, there was nowhere to change the baby (in the ladies room). The food was only ok today, but that's because we arrived about ten minutes before the end of the lunch specials and ordered them anyway. The pizza was not very fresh. read more

We went to this Barro's the other night for pizza and pasta.The spaghetti and meatballs were good.But the thin crust pizza was horrible.The black olives were left off the pizza. She said she didn't hear us order them.But the main problem was that the crust was soggy, there was hardly any sauce on it, and it was extremely salty. Wings were exactly how I asked them to be (crispy! this is the first time I've ordered delivery wings from anywhere that were crispy as requested). Also, never had delivery wings come with celery that was fresh and crispy....and the bleu cheese dressing was NOT watered down! Ordered spaghetti w/meatballs. With 4 other tables occupied w/customers, it took about 20 mins to table. That not all that slow really, especially if the pasta was freshly cooked. The food was hot at the bottom of the bowl and not so on the top. That tells me it was microwaved to be warmed up, so that shoots the idea making pasta to order. The reason for the below average rating is that the pasta was under cooked by about 2 mins leaving it with the consistency of rubber, or perhaps the microwave was changing its consistency. The meatballs are slightly on the bland side but understandable for general public eating. The sauce made up for the meatball shortcoming. The garlic toast was slightly charred, but some people may like it that way. The pricing is very good, but I will not be ordering spaghetti again. read more

Put in a Togo order and left for 15 min to grab some drinks at Safeway, was getting pizza and wings for the grandkids, got back to watch my order go out with someone else manger went to go after them, really after sending your food out the door with wrong person they would take it back and give to another ???? Health code violation big time, the manger said she was really really really sorry, had to wait another 15 min to re make manager promises 5 min but it was 15 also offered a free drink (that I just got) no discount on my order no offer to come back and have them try again? Love ordering pizza from this place usually pretty consistent. Unfortunately the past couple times it has seemed be very inconsistent Pizza light on toppings light on cheese I pay $30 for some pizzas I expect them to be covered decently. I think you need to get somebody managing your kitchen little better to make sure the consistency of your product is upheld to your reputation.
