This is one of those places where you'll always know what to expect, the food is consistently good, and the dining room is comfortable. It feels very family friendly, but if you want to have a drink, hang out and watch the game on the big screens, you can do that too. The staffing is friendly, and they're pretty quick considering how fast the orders come in. I have a two year old, and they always have a great sense of humor here. Let me mention- there are lots of options to choose from, but I love their spaghetti! Their marinara really is one of my favorites out of all the ones I have tried. It has a good kick, solid flavor balance, and it doesn't have that heavy "wine" taste that you sometimes get with these types of sauces. What's your secret, Barros?! I usually never write reviews but I feel like I needed to since this is my second incident dealing with this specific barros location. I have always loved barros and have never had an issues with service or the food. For the last two order I placed an online order to be picked up. The wait time is usually 30 min and then you can pick up. I understand that on really busy days this may take longer but this location has stated the last two times that they never received my order and so they didn't make the food. Luckily you get a receipt sent to your email and when I pulled it up they started to scramble and make the food which has taken over an hour to make at the time they finally decided to make the food. This last time I ordered my food at 7:26pm. It is now 8:54 and still no food. Same thing happened last time. read more

Love Barro's Pizza in "Ahwatukee,"however, Maricopa's is 180 degrees different. Too bad because we just moved to Maricopa.We went there last night and it does not feel or look clean. The table was cleared but it was still dirty. The rag the used came from a dirty water bucket from under the sink. Our pizza was very greasy. The counter ladies couldn't crack a smile. When we got there the girl right away was rude while taking our order she seemed to be having a bad day but still shouldn't have taken it out on us. We asked for extra sauce and that seemed to be a problem and when we received the pizza, it actually had NO sauce and wasn't even cut properly. Edit: I was contacted by corporate and issued a full refund for this experience, untill I see this location turn around either management or how staffed is trained I will be taking my family elsewhere to spend our hard earned cash... I know it's hard to keep staff right now with the pandemic going on but how hard is it to make sure orders are going out correctly, orders are being taken correctly and if you have two staff members able to stand at the front counter then it would only seem right one of them go and clean up tables that have trash on them, maybe sweep or vaccum the floor that had food and trash on it or clean up the counter area near the fountain drink area. Since moving to Maricopa we have visited 4 times and each time we was disappointed in one way or another. We have even driven to Chandler to eat at the barros out there just cause the service is better. This last time my wife went ahead of me and my daughter into the restaurant to order. When I got inside o noticed my wife sitting at a table with a drink but no number. I asked her and she said they didn't give her one. So figured maybe they forgot or was dead enough that they would know where the order was going. Nope sat there for almost a half hour and notice two groups of people that came behind us already eating. So my wife went to ask and the girl at the counter said she thought it was a togo order, which is strange cause our food was sitting on the counter but missing an item. The girl also said that she did not call out my wife's name cause she was waiting for the last item to be ready. By this time the pizza and other item (cheese sticks) was just warm and not hot. At this time the last time was ready our boneless wings.... Don't think we will be returning here until management does something to get improve this situation. Bad enough the town of Maricopa already had issues with customer service I'm most establishments but damn I would think the same people that work at these customer service places also live here and would be more understanding to the needs of customers. Wait time listed as 2 hours for delivery....at 2 hours food still not here. Called and talked to manager twice, was told not enough drivers. It is obvious they wait until they have 5-10 deliveries then do them all at once. BAD plan! Once again the food didn't arrive until 2.5 hours later and once again it was cold. Let's face it, I'm from New Jersey so Arizona pizza does not compare for the most part. This review is based off of other pizzerias in town. I have ordered take out and have dined in at this location. The first couple times the pizza was great, the last few I was not impressed. The wing order has also gotten messed up twice. Boneless were ordered but traditional wings showed up. I was not impressed by the service while dining in. We were told we couldn't have draft beer because the store was out of the right cups, but then a different table was able to order pitchers? The wrong food was brought to our table before being served to the right table. I will say when ordering delivery the guy was super nice and amazingly timely! I have been coming to this location for years now and I spend a lot of money here especially feeding a big family of 8.. I even order weekly for my dinner because they have some of the best wings. Up until this point today I got my regular 12 piece hot wings all flats. I ordered on my way home after working a 12 hour shift, I get home and about to eat my wings I open the box and the wings were so dry and hard and I could tell they were very old like they been sitting for hours I know from experience! I was so upset I couldn't even eat tonight. I do want to thank Emily for making things right. Just a heads up I definitely would hold any of the cooks accountable because that's bad business and you definitely shouldn't serve old wings to paying customers. You don't want to have anyone in your kitchen that could jeopardize your business.
