This spot will forever be a stop on drives between Las Vegas and Southern California. We found it based on the high Yelp reviews and the goal to avoid chains (that aren't regional treasures unavailable to us) and bam!!!!! We called in an order that lined up with google maps. The (Covid friendly) pick up was seamless. We shared a chorizo breakfast burrito with added mushrooms and onions choosing hash browns instead of rice and beans. It was in my top five breakfast burritos of all time. Spectacular! I can't wait for the drive back home to try something else. read more

Every time I've eaten here the food has been excellent. The portions are large, always has been fast service.

Driving through Barstow on our way to St. George, my wife and I passed the usual suspects (Chipotle, Weinerschnitzel, Panda Express, McDonald's, Carl's Jr., and the like.) We are not one for chains, or fast food. So as soon as we peeped a local joint (Barstow Burgers), we had to stop by and pick up some local grindage. Shortly afterwards me made our way to the Motel 6 that is. We sat down and prepared to get our grub on. We ordered a BLT, a Colossal Burger w fries and Chicken Wings w/Ranch. First of, our whole meal from 1st to last bite was awful. The ranch has a strong mayo taste (bleck) , the french fries has zero seasoning and while they were freshly made, they were not crunchy (who does that?) The BLT was just average, the Colossal burger (did not live up to its name) was a burger with sliced pastrimi on top (sounds de wait for it...licious. The burger was mediocre at best. There was zero seasoning on the patty. It was a plain. There was a decent amount of pastrimi, although it tasted like it was pre packaged, and sliced very thick. Lastly, these chicken wings were top worst three on my all-time list. The chicken wing tasted like it was frozen that was thawed out and heated in a microwave possibly, and weak amount of vinegar hot sauce sparingly dripped over the wings. I guess I should not expect much here in Barstow, but for 32 bucks I expect more. P.S., they add an additional 3.2% to your total if using a card w/o telling you . There is a small written sign at the drive up window informing you. I would avoid this place at all costs. Try Mickey D's at 1/3 the price and get those points! read more

This is not a corporate franchise! Good food at a decent price. Very clean and pretty darn fast with great quality. I was going to give them 4 stars because they only had Horchata to drink, but they had the soda machine up and running while I was there. My only critique...the pastrami has an ingredient that is a little overpowering. If they tone down this one spice, it would be a perfect pastrami. I will be back for breakfast. read more

The sandwich was not the shredded thin steak pieces like normal philly cheese's it was a legit thick piece of steak on a bun. Should be called a steak sandwich instead. The bathrooms need to be gutted, the big stall doesn't lock so if u have kids or are handicap you're out of luck u can pee with the door open most stalls didn't have toilet paper and they were out of hand soap. We come here for lunch all the time since we work nearby. The food is amazing and the employees are always helpful and go above and beyond. I know they are mainly a burger place but it's their other food that keeps me coming back. Best thing on the menu is the carne asada taco salad by a large margin. read more

One of my biggest pet peeves is businesses that are hit or miss. Tonight BB was definitely a miss. Our chicken strips were burnt beyond recognition and we didn't get ranch, celery, or carrots with our chicken wings (all supposedly included). VERY disappointed. read more

We were going 2 UCLA from Vegas and needed to make not only a pit stop, but we were all hungry and wanted to go in somewhere and eat to get out of the car. Four stars instead of five because the restrooms do leave quite a bit to be desired...A locking door would be nice. The food however, was surprisingly good. One of us was like, " Oh I'm not that hungry I'll just get some kind of fries..." The rest of us got different burgers and fries. ALL of the burgers were really good. The fries were AMAZING!!! Would give 0 stars if I could. This used to be my favorite place to go being locals in Barstow. I ordered a burrito and went home to eat it when I found a piece of plastic in it. I called right back about it and the guy on the phone just laughed and asked if I wanted a refund or a re make I said a remake would be awesome. Went in with the plastic and still more than half the burrito to show them, when showing them they laughed and said it didn't come from their kitchen. So I've been making this trip from Colorado back to California where I'm from and I remember when I was in the military that we stopped at this place in Barstow and it was called Barstow burger. I didn't know if it was still there. I didn't order from the menu when I got the food the first time, while I was in the military. Ao, I decided to stop here and check it out again and let me tell you. This place is probably one of the best burgers and breakfast spots I've ever been to. The menu is insane and it's a perfect mix and if you're hungry and you're looking for something that's not fast food and something that is super delicious plus the wonderful customer service! it's insane this place is amazing there should be more of them all over CA read more

Only reason I gave it a star was because I had no other option. Chicken Strips were hard on the outside and slimy on the inside. The Onion Rings were bad. Flavorless as well. I got the Steak Dinner with Vegetables & the vegetables were also flavorless. It seemed like they just steamed them and put no butter or salt on them. Along with the Chicken Strips came fries and they too were bland with no seasoning on them. I got soups with the dinner and guess what? They too were horrible. Only thing that was good were the Club Sandwiches. Even on that order they got something wrong on it as well. I don't see how I have to pay so much money only to get repulsive food in return. Customer service was like the food, shitty. The manager on duty didn't own up to anything but the vegetables, claiming they saw it was not being prepared right but still let the order go out anyways.
