First time! After you've looked at the menu you write your order down (check off) on the sheet of paper provided. We started with the guac + roja + verde. It comes with several corn tortillas and in three separate bowls. The guac is Amazing!! So creamy and fresh! The roja (red salsa) is a good mix of spicy and sweet. It tasted like it was made with pineapples and habanero peppers but it's packing a lot of heat. The verde (green salsa) had a great taste as well. Spicy but not as much as the roja. Baja fish - one piece of fried fish with chipotle slaw. Love the chipotle slaw!! Sesame ribeye - liked that one. Ribeye was quite as tender as I would have liked but still good. Duck - My first time having suck so you can take my opinion as you may. The duck itself wasn't all that tender. Had good flavoring, the sauce as excellent. I'm not sure of the exact toppings but it tasted like pickles ginger with carrots. Shrimp - definitely has some heat! It was described to us as an spicy orange sauce. Very good! I had an excellent time here. Great friends and delicious tacos. Bartaco is trendy and seems to be a hot spot. One thing that stood out the most was our server. She had the cutest accent and was just on point with everything. She explained everything so thoroughly and her service all night was on POINT! Our table ordered a variety of tacos. I had the pork belly, tuna lettuce taco, and shrimp. All of them were great but the pork belly was my favorite. You can never go wrong with pork belly. For desert we had churros and gelato. Recently visited this location and sat at the bar, front and center. The service was terrible. The first bar tender took my order, then 10 mins later came back to ask me what it was again. They changed shifts and the new bar staff never once greeted me, or my friend who eventually joined me, to ask whether they needed to refresh our drinks. I flagged them down to put in a drink order, and it was almost as though it was their first time seeing us sitting there. Mind you, we were sitting at the front of the bar. Finally, I asked to close out my tab, and then had to wait 20 mins for it as the woman seemingly forgot do it. Good food, but the service and execution of the food presentation could have been much better. We had a group of 10 people. Some of these people had recently been to bartaco and complained to me that the service has been very slow. Especially when trying to order any sort of drink. The majority of the table went up to the bar to order a drink, but I wanted to test out what they were complaining about with drink service at the table. I ordered a margarita and it took about 25 minutes to get the margarita to my table after ordering. So they were correct with the service and next time I would recommend going to the bar in order to get yourself a drink. The tacos have a decent amount of flavor, I had the pork pastor and the chicken tacos. You will need to order about 2 to 4 depending on how hungry you are to feel full since they are smaller sized tacos. I definitely recommend getting an appetizer. I got the plantains and they were pretty good and filling. Overall the atmosphere is live and a modern twist on a taco place, but I wouldn't recommend going here if you don't have a lot of time on your hands to spend at dinner. read more

Bartaco has a good menu to offer and I believe it changes per location or on a rolling basis. I am not a fan that a Mexican restaurant doesn't offer a queso dish. What is a Mexican night without queso?! I ordered the duck taco, fish taco and a side of corn off the cob. Both tacos had great, unique flavor and the corn was delish. Service staff is friendly and helpful so no complaints there. What I do not like is their ordering system. You order and pay through the website. It was stressful trying to talk to my friend, order my food, ensure I am paying correctly (now or later) and be certain my order went all the way through. I'd rather someone else be in charge of that if I'm eating out. It really was more work than I had anticipated doing. They do not have the best parking. The location is on the corner of a busy shopping center so you will have to walk a little bit. The outdoor space is super cute and I'm sure a lot of fun on a warm day. read more

I visited bar taco on Roswell which I normally do when craving tacos how ever I had the worst service in history ! the server said his name was David but at this point I'm unsure. Not only was he rude he didn't attend to us the whole night, and forgot to put our food order in I was nothing but nice to him and didn't appreciate the hospitality by far . It was no reason I had to ask multiple times simply for a drink and to even pay the bill . I come to this location all the time and have been met with countless amazing bartenders so to be ignored, left hungry and then have to beg to simply be served was irritating To say the least. He's clearly new and didn't know how to operate the bar . In addition to this the bartender decided to add additional tip and pay himself over what he deserved . I called the location and spoke to the manager who refused the bill in total and while I appreciate that gesture I was surprised to see they would allow someone like that to continue to work there. Not only does his customer service suck , he is dishonest and is a thief. Forging numbers on a credit card receipt is the lowest of lows and I would check my accounts twice when visiting this location ! read more

Had a pleasant visit at Bartaco! Casual, relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of outdoor seating at their patio is available, which is perfect for nice weathers. They have ample tables indoor and at the bar as well. Note that the noise level could be a tad loud. We had a hard time hearing sometimes, but we all enjoyed our gathering very much. My go to is the glazed pork belly and fish tacos. They also have a QR code system where you can order/pay through your phone which makes it easier than waiting on a waitress/waiter to get to you. Love coming here just before a concert at Chastain (or whatever it's called this year)...The jalapeño margarita is DELICIOUS! Love the variety of drinks and love that everything is made fresh to order. Especially the "sour mix"....there's no fake sour mix, they press the citrus fresh for every drink. The servers are all super friendly. If you've never been before, make sure you ask about how to place your order or get a server to stop. There are cards on the table for that :-) Always ask if there are any off menu items. They usually have a secret type of taco or two that is available but not on the menu. Name a pair better than tacos and margaritas. Bar Taco has created the perfect little oasis to pretend that you're in an island and need a quick escape from the city. First, I just love the color scheme and sitting on their patio reminds me of having drinks in a beach town. The food: IMO it's not mouth watering spectacular but it is good. They've got veggie options like the portobello or cauliflower taco and of course plenty of meat options with chicken, fish, beef and pork. You can finish one taco in two bites, or three if you're trying to be cute. They've also got a few sides that are okay but my preference is the street corn. Most important, the drinks are delicious. Go with a classic margarita or try their hibiscus mezcalita. Super tasty and so refreshing! Covid changes: like every other restaurant you will need to scan the QR code to pull up the menu on your phone. The best thing is you do everything from your phone. Order your food and pay your bill. This minimizes the staff needing to come to your table every five minutes. This is another good thing to come from Covid and I'll be glad when every restaurant does this moving forward. The plantains were so delicious and the sauce brought with it is chefs kiss. Cauliflower tacos, falafel tacos, fuuh king delish!!? Here's my issue--they don't take regular credit cards unless you beg and cry to a manager. The food is good but it's $3-$4 a taco and you end up ordering a lot and spending a lot because the tacos aren't filling. They are good, don't get me wrong, but it ends up being a lot and they don't come out as quickly as they should when there's a large crowd. I also hate the "chips" (more like circle tortillas) and the guacamole. Both are so salty. read more

We called ahead and put our name down. When we got there they said it would still be a 30+ minute wait, which we were not pleased about. But once we sat down, we ordered quickly since we knew the menu really well. We got their new corn fritters, falafel tacos, secret menu Brussel sprout taco, swordfish, pork belly, and tuna tacos. With the corn off the Cobb and guacamole and chips. The falafel tacos were the best!!!! We absolutely love them every time we come! We added the corn elote on top of the falafel taco. The Brussel sprouts were a bit sweet. The pork belly was really good too! The ambiance was great, even thought it was really busy. The lighting was good. I recently visited this Bartaco location for the first time last week. I live closest to the West Midtown location. But I had such a great experience at this location, I'd be willing to make the drive here again. Somehow the amazing staff here was able to take care of my big group of (crazy) friends. Everyone raved about their tacos, and raved even more about our many carafes of margaritas--we definitely enjoyed the bar. And we definitely enjoyed the tacos. A few standouts include the baja fish, portobello, shrimp bahn mi, and the duck. Heck, try any taco on the menu (and ask about the secret taco of the day). You truly can't go wrong! We were served family style, which made us all feel even closer to one another. But I've noticed that in the almost two weeks since we visited, a few friends have gone back (without me, so much for feeling closer to one another...but I digress). Came here after an event to get some food and drinks. I got the acoustic sangria and the special taco - avocado batter one. It was very tasty. The tacos are very small about the size of your palm. It's family style they bring them out together. I got three and I was still hungry. I also got the corn fritters which were DELICIOUS. The plantains has a nice kick to it as well. They were very tasty. I also got the churros. Spot on. They were so tasty and warm. The key lime pie in a cup apparently wasn't set. My friends didn't not enjoy it. They both agreed they were good. My fav of all the tacos I tired was the crispy oyster! I'm a fan of them and it's not easy to find them, so I choose one and it was that good! Crispy, no greasy, great tasting oyster! Ming recommended the pork belly which I was oohing and ahhin about because I had pork belly one time before and it was terrible. I gave in and I enjoyed pork belly the way it should be cooked. Crispy and buttery. Very good taco. Ribeye sesame was another winner. A mini oasis located in a strip mall. Didn't expect the splendid ambiance I walked into after driving by this place many times. It's more of a tapas style Mexican, with all the portion sizes on the smaller side. The tacos are small, with the idea of you being able sample more tastes on the menu. I like the idea for something different. The tacos really were not anything spectacular to me but they got the job done for little designer tacos. The highlight for me was the margarita and the mezcal margarita, bartender did a great job with those drinks. I ordered some salsa verde and it came with hard shell whole tortillas instead of tortilla chips. Kind of caught me off guard and I didn't enjoy it as they don't give you many tortillas. I liked my previous experience so well that I treated my office to lunch at Bartaco last Friday.We had been working like crazy through a number of huge projects and it was finally time to ease off the gas. The ten of us loved it -- even the two guys from Korea and Cote d'Ivoire who had never had tacos before. We ate outside on a beautiful early fall day. The service was great. Everyone had their favorite tacos. I think I'm settling on the curry shrimp and the short ribs as my faves. And the corn. One of my colleagues fell in love with the gazpacho. And I found the perfect way to make all of my co-workers think they had died and gone to heaven: three orders of churros for 10 people. Bam! Hot. Terrific. Accompanied by chocolate sauce. And our resident latina got everyone laughing by teaching us how to pronounce 'churro' with that lovely rolled R. Give it a try. Stress on the first syllable: 'CHU rrrrrrrrro'. I'm upgrading. The food and drinks were Great! Big turn off was that you had to give your credit card to view the menu, then order everything on line and pay on line. They bring it out and provide no service other than bring water and want a tip. I'll never come here again. I can order grub hub and stay home. The business owner replied and lied. I finally came here on a Monday for lunch a little after 1:30. It was the day after the Super Bowl and a balmy 65 degrees out so they had the garage style doors open for al fresco dining. They've got a nautical theme going on with white washboard walls and wooden tables. My waiter explained how their ordering worked. There are sheets at every table for you to mark what tacos, non-taco items, and sides you want. Once you've ordered you stick the sheet in a cardholder and they come and pick it up. I was hoping to try one of their secret menu tacos but they didn't have it that day. The tacos are small which I really like because you can try a few of them at a time. I ended up getting the rock shrimp taco instead which had a remoulade sauce and a lemon parsley slaw, the Baja fish taco which had a chipotle slaw, and the chicken pastor taco which had a Hawaiian sweet and spicy sauce with pineapple chunks. For my side I got corn off the cob. Each taco was really good and I'd order any of them again. If I had to pick a fave though out of the three I'd go with the rock shrimp. The corn off the cob was really good as well. Take 2 for the secret menu taco was a success. I went on a Sunday and got to try the honey chipotle glazed brussel sprouts taco and it was delicious. They should really consider making this a regular menu item. I also got the falafel taco which was pretty good and the spicy chorizo which I didn't care for and wouldn't order again. I also got to try their plantains and street corn fritters. The plantains were delicious with crisp edges, tender on the inside and sweet. The corn fritters were very good as well and the dipping sauce was yummy. As a devoted churro enthusiast ordering the churros for dessert was non-negotiable. Really good! I didn't care for (and didn't really need) the dipping sauce - a touch to bitter for me. The restaurant is located in a little strip mall/shopping plaza so there's a good amount of parking available. Even if you don't get something directly in front of the restaurant you'll get something close enough. Service was solid both times I've been. The manager working came over and checked in on me in both cases. My food came out pretty quickly (probably just under 10 minutes both times). read more
