Bartaco is consistently one of my favorite restaurants in Buckhead. Great vibe, ample free parking, you can't go wrong. Its bite-size tacos pack a mean punch of flavor, while not making you feel as if you've terribly overeaten. As a vegetarian, my favorite tacos are the cauliflower tacos. I really love the corn on the cob appetizer as well. My carnivore friends typically order the sesame ribeye taco or porkbelly taco (or both!). The drinks here are kind of pricey--so I wouldn't come here just for drinks. Definitely recommend finishing the meal with the gelato ice cream--mint chocolate chip is the best. read more

Not one to complain normally, but my experience here was so awful tonight that I had to make a yelp account. We were seated with our friends at 10PM and ordered shortly after, it took an hour to receive our 13 tacos, which came out cold. We were missing tacos and when we inquired about them our waiter told us "oh if you're missing any its because we're out"... which we were never informed of during our hour wait for our food, we could of at least subbed them out if we knew, instead we were short food. Poor service in general, super disappointed. We were regulars here, but not sure we will be going back. read more

My best friend and I decided to meet up for an impromptu lunch and Bartaco had the perfect ambiance. Parking is a bit of problem if you want it close to but since they are located in a shopping center you get parking in the lot but have to walk a bit to the restaurant. They have patio seating which I imagine is beautiful at night. It was a bit windy so we opted to sit inside. The decor inside is fun and casual...they also have a good size bar. The drinks are interesting. I had a lovely mint ice tea without sugar which was really really good. The food is clean and fresh. I was so excited to see they give you an option to replace your corn or wheat tortillas with lettuce. My hubby wasn't too impressed with the doggy bag I got him so I think it is best if you eat the food there. They do a lunch special for $10 where you get 3 tacos of your choice and a soup or salad. The lettuce tacos are .50c extra but worth it to me. The fish and mushroom tacos are my favorites. The chicken soup was light but yummy. The surrounding office crowd seems to love lunching here. I would definitely recommend this for a quick healthy lunch. read more

First time here yesterday FOOD was superb! So good . However, the hostess standing at the door with her braids in a ponytail was pretty rude. We walked in the door and she folded her arms and just rudely stares at us. There was no "Hi welcome to Bartaco or one second someone else will be with you." She didn't say a word. She just looked at us like we had somehow offended her by just walking in the door. Then another girl with braids came over and asked us where we wanted to sit and seated us. The server was nice but she waited a long time before coming to our table there were other people that came in after us that had interaction with her before us. We also didn't know that we had to fill out our menus on the table it took for another server to come over and take our drinks before she even came to our table to explain this. Overall food is good the staff needs work. **EDIT*** Update to 5 stars thank you to the manager who took his time to reach out to us and rectify the situation we appreciate it and decided to come back and give it another chance and this time we were thoroughly impressed overall. I came here for the first time before I had to go into work, around 2:00. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by Dan and Cara, they were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Dan made me an amazing Brazilian cocktail- it was absolutely delicious and perfect to loosen me up before my shift. I ordered the pork belly rice bowl and holy cow was it good. Just bursting with flavor and just the right amount of heat. I will be back, maybe even after my shift since the kitchen doesn't close until 12:15! Definitely my new favorite spot. read more

This place is a great addition to the Chastain Park area. It has such a great atmosphere and friendly staff and it definitely doesn't hurt that it's conveniently located down the street from my office, making it a go-to for after work cocktails. There is a nice mix of cocktails and wine, though the mixed drinks can seem a little small. The food is awesome, and I haven't tried anything here that I haven't liked. The guacamole makes a delicious starter, so don't be afraid to order the large. All of their tacos are pretty spot on, but my absolute favorites are the fried oyster and sesame ribeye. I rarely order dessert, but I tried the coconut gelato the other night and it was to die for. All-in-all great spot and I'll definitely be back. Shout out to Larry and the chef for making our last trip completely memorable! read more

I was impressed with how tasty the tacos were. My friend had the rice bowl which looked yummy too. The guacamole was very fresh and good. You call the server over to your table by posting a card to let her know you need help. That was interesting, and kept her from interrupting all the time. read more

I was extremely disappointed with the bang for your buck of this restaurant. The tacos and churros were great, but the Margaritas and anything alcoholic were WAY overpriced for the 1/2oz of alcohol and pretentiousness that was presented. I am a frequent visitor of the West Midtown location and was so happy that there is one in the Chastain area as well. As I arrived I immediately felt the welcoming environment and energy in the restaurant. As usual the drinks were outstanding and the food as well. Justin the manger even stopped by and made sure we felt at home. It is always a nice touch when managers are checking on guests and keep everything moving smooth and seamless. My wife and I decided to try this new restaurant we heard about from all of our friends. It is hands down one of the best places in Atlanta. Great food, great service. Sat at the bar and ordered a glass of wine waiting on a first date. They asked for a card to start a tab. My date got there, we ordered more drinks, food and when I asked for the check they put everything in my card. My date was very apologetic But it wasn't his fault. But when someone asks for the check you should give the check or ask if they want to use the card on file. Don't automatically charge the card like that. Other than that the food was good, there was always a bartender available for us and cool atmosphere. read more

I've been here a handful of times and agree with most of the reviews. The drinks are on-point. The food is just OK. The service is consistently bad. They have a unique ordering style, and with that comes less acountability for your waiter. On my last visit, we had to ask twice for a drink, which took over 15 minutes to be delivered to our table (it was a margarita, nothing complicated). They also forgot a few items that we ordered. The manager genuinely wanted to make it right and took a few things off of our tab, which was very kind. This place is probably best for drinks and snacks, but not a full meal. read more

I got delivery yesterday afternoon and am still so impressed with how great everything was.. Honestly blown away with how atypical a takeout taco spot can be, and should taste. I can't get over how surprised I am. Likely bc of all the moes and Willys experiences I was expecting more of the same. No wayyyy! Anyone can stuff a shell with anything and call it a taco.. The chips, salsa, and guacamole were delicious. The plantains were okay. Not a big fan of the dipping sauce. The tacos are extremely small. Just seem to be missing the "wow" factor. Service can be better. There were still some empty tables, yet the food took a long time to come out. Plenty of other tables were getting upset at the long wait. Even had a few tables leave. Really wish we could like the place more; without repeating the details, the food, the drinks, the concept and the design are all terrific, all brought down by truly awful service. My friend Hannah and I came for a casual Thursday night dinner and drinks and it ended up being AMAZING!!! Spencer delivered great service and great food. The live artist, Anthony Crane, is here every Thursday and seduced us to buy another round and enjoy the night under the lights by the fire place. To top our night off, Meagan Froyd, wowed us with complimentary plantains and mouth watering gordita sauce. We thought we were getting the check when Jeff Hormel came over and let us in on the "secret taco.". It won't be a secret for long. If you don't know, now you know. I went here because it was new and I wanted to give it a try. To my pleasant surprise every item on the menu is gluten-free, unless otherwise noted. This is important because my girlfriend has celiac disease which limits the places where she can eat out. The atmosphere was bright and upbeat and I started with a nice cold mojito. For my meal I started with the guacamole, which was fresh and tangy, and the pork tamale which was much larger than I expected and piping hot. For tacos I got the baja fish, pork belly, and sesame ribeye; all of which were delicious. If you're looking for a great summer spot with good gluten-free food and cold drinks you can't do any better. read more

Each time is different yet the only consistent thing are the two best bartenders in Buckhead named Lorenzo and Oscar!!!!!!! They "make it happen" for Buckhead!!!!
