This new location recently opened from a company that made the best Margarita that I've ever had. Used to drive all the way to portchester just to get the margarita with fresh juices in it. After you try this one you won't ever go back. The service at the portchester location was great, walking up to Westbury New York location I was saying I hope the service stays the same. All I can say its as great or even better than the portchester location and I don't have to drive over an hour anymore. The staff that I dealt with was very helpful when I asked about food and other things that I needed. I dealt with my server shila I believe her name was who was very friendly and polite, she gave off a great vibe and made me feel welcome. I wanted water without ice and she didn't hesitate to accommodate use right away to the smallest detail, thank you. Was there an issue at the end of the shift? I have patronized this establishment many times without incident; however, last night, I ordered through Uber Eats- guacamole, drinks, fish tacos, corn, and a bowl. The fish tacos were four scraggly pieces of fish that resembled a child's meal, the corn was uncooked, the guacamole was brown, and drinks were filled - halfway. I felt we were either being rationed for war provisions, or we were getting the absolute bottom the food barrel, or the servers were plain incompetent. I think our Lord and Savior did better with 5 loaves and two fishes. We paid over $100 for this experience. Shame on you. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. The kitchen totally messed up my order and I have food allergies. I needed my food to have no gluten and no dairy. My order was "to-go". When I arrived home, every taco has a milk based sauce on the top. I had to throw my entire order out. I called and received the run around, I was finally able to speak to the manager. He said he can't refund me, only corporate can. I'm still waiting for my refund and it's been months. I was traveling for some time and now at this point, I'm just going to file a dispute with my bank. This location is being run by an incompetent manager who does not know how to handle basic customer centric problems. Not all bar tacos are like this. The one in Port Chester is much better. I rather take the drive out there than ever return to this location. read more

Was my job to find a place for our monthly catch up with my bestie. I choose Bartaco, first time for us both. We met at 3:30, so Happy Hour so we decided to sit at the bar. That was a great choice. We met Delvy, the bartender, and she was outstanding. Everything you want in a friendly bartender. She took the time to explain the hand crafted cocktails concept of fresh juices, and the happy hour menu. She assured us the each small bite was packed with flavor, and she wasn't wrong. I didn't know family style meant that people at the same table would get their food at different times and for the drinks to take forever to arrive. I LOVEEE BARTACO. I have to brag that I grew up with bartaco nearby (the Westport CT location). I was very excited to hear their new opening in Long Island. I came here with a friend on a Friday evening. It is beautiful inside this is probably one of the biggest locations I have been to. They have their traditional basket lighting. The waiters and waitresses are in the blue checkered shirts. And it just feels like you are on Lakeside patio. The food is delicious. They have their own menu for this location pretty much the same options but some new items as well. The food was amazing. The margaritas were rockin! Def try it out!!! read more

After going to Bar Taco a few times, my daughter decided she wanted to share the experience with her friends so we opted to celebrate her 12th birthday there. From the planning to the execution, Bar Taco was such a perfect place for her party. They were able to seat all 13 kids in one long table and gave us adults the 3 booths next to them, effectively giving us the back of the restaurant. I had preordered appetizers that arrived shortly after we settled into our seats and everyone was able to order exactly what they wanted. Both kids and adults had a great time. And we also truly appreciated the little surprise bag they gave to the birthday girl at the end of the night. Such a nice final touch to a great celebration! The first time we went here we had excellent food & drinks. However the second time we are not so sure if we'd stop by again. The service here has always been questionable. The first time our server was clearly new and had no idea what was going on. Our food accidentally was put under the wrong table and led to a lot of confusion. Our second time the server was just honestly not good and straight up walked away before my husband finished his order. All the servers are much more concerned with being friends than they are attending to customers (which is fine to be friends but just do it after customers are attended to!) Also worth noting our second time around the menu was the same but the recipes for the food were different in a bad way. When we alerted the server they said chefs made changes so we couldn't necessarily change anything if we sent the food back. Not sure if I would return as the service and food changes really made this place mediocre. read more

My family and I were very excited to try this new place only to be met with disappointment. The atmosphere was awesome but the food was awful and so was the service. First off the portions are small for a high price. We had ordered take out and oh my goodness the lemonade! It didn't even fill a cup and it was too strong! Second they missed a lot of things in the order. Initially we checked it before leaving the restaurant to find they forgot to add the drinks which they did correct. But upon coming home we found they forgot to add the shrimp to one of the orders. We called and asked for a refund but never received one! Overall, not a very good experience. Went here last night on a date with my husband for the first time. I had a $30.00 gift certificate so it was a no brainer. You can enter from the mall or from the front. We were seated promptly. First I noticed how nice and bright the restaurant is. There is a bar, booths and multiple tables for different party sizes. The restaurant was full of families and people getting off work enjoying happy hour. The cold temperatures outside didn't bother anyone. Our server came over and introduced himself as Kevin and was very attentive and engaging during our dining experience. Since we had never been there before he offered a few recommendations for tacos and drinks. I had more than enough to eat even though everything is a small plate or small tacos, maybe 3 bites which I actually liked because then I can sample more which I did. Love this place to death but they have some work to do. I mostly come here for happy hour and unfortunately you can only enjoy the happy hour menu at the bar, which wouldn't be a problem if they had more than one or two people working the bar. Every time I've gone it's taken a good 20 minutes to get the bartenders attention to order a drink, even on a day that's not busy... and in some cases happy hour is already over by the time they get to me. Went for happy hour with my mom a few weeks ago and we were late for our movie because it took them sooo long to get us the check. I love the food and drinks!!! I want to give you my money!!! Loved our server Geraldo and the food was amazing. The manager who was seating/walking around however (mid age white woman w glasses) was horrible. She had an attitude from the time we walked in and asked for a table. I asked as she was passing if there were any nuts in the tres leches, no complaints just a question. Her response was "there's coconut & coconut is a nut" then she went to the server and had a full blown conversation about our table, was rude with lots of unnecessary hand movements. Firstly, coconut is technically a fruit and we should be taking allergies more seriously but also as manager I need her to be more informed & much more personable. read more

Great tacos and street corn, we really enjoyed the food. We ordered non-alcoholic drinks they were good but small glasses and too much ice for the price. Friends recommended the restaurant and we went there today--Saturday-at 2:30pm. We found parking and entered the restaurant thru the doorway by the parking lot. The outside seats were half empty and indoors was more than half empty. Nobody greeted us, there were no signs saying wait to be seated. We stood around a bit and then sat at a table. Shortly after a waitress came with menus. We said, when asked, that it was our first time there and she proceeded to tell us about the food and the restaurant. As she finished a woman cane over and said we must have sneaked past her. I responded that it was our first time there and there were tables empty so we sat. She said she had a waiting list and she needed the table for other people! There were NO other people visible and about 3/4 of the place was empty. She told us to go get a drink at the bar while we wait. I explained we weren't drinking but we were hungry. She did not offer any of the other tons of available tables inside or outside. Kept saying to sit at the bar. We got up and left. Horrible customer service especially since we said it was our first time there. We won't be back. read more
