Neiman Marcus Cafe is the perfect location for breakfast or lunch on a sunny day all year around. NM Cafe has a wall of windows, ceiling to floor facing the restaurants' row of Roosevelt Field. I have enjoyed of breakfast and lunch at NMC. During lunch the restaurant offers a regular menu and Specials. Upon arrival you are welcomed to a complimentary "pop up" (bread), and broth. The food is delicious and the service is excellent, Anthony was our server The restaurant has a great vibe, you can have a conversation while the noise level is moderate. Consider NMC when in the area.

Mandarin Orange Souffé with "sweet bread" slivered almonds, sliced green apple and chicken salad

On the 2nd floor of Nieman Marcus in Roosevelt Field - turn right at the top of the escalator and it's against the mostly glass wall. It has a view of the parking lot, the tables aren't cramped, and the atmosphere is classy. They start you off with popovers (that I haven't seen since the Milleridge Inn), strawberry "butter" (that tasted like light whipped cream cheese to me), and a seemingly out of place demi tasse cup of chicken broth. Nice touches so far. My wife ordered their [red] "quinoa salad" with sliced avocado, radish, almonds, arugula and goat cheese. She liked it except for the arugula (neither of us enjoy bitter types of lettuce, radicchio being the worst). I ordered their "mandarin orange soufflé," which was only the dessert portion of the lunch plate because the main attraction was the chicken salad, slices of green apple and almonds with "sweet bread," which seemed more like slices of dark honey cake. It cobbled together a nice balanced light lunch (bread, two fruits, nuts and chicken). We both ordered decaf coffee, which was nicely served with a creamer, two cups and a very small pot for seconds, but it was just slightly warmer than room temperature, so they eventually brought out a fresh hot pot. The food was reasonably priced, considering the creative menu, freshly preparation and atmosphere, but they charged us $12 for our coffees.

Start the meal off with hot delicious popover, strawberry butter, and warm broth. Perfect for a cold day!

Lovely bright restaurant in Neiman Marcus in the Roosevelt Field Mall. Starting the meal off with a piping hot popover, strawberry butter and warm broth was a welcome surprise. My friend and I split a California sandwich which was the chef's special of the day and was absolutely delicious. The table next to us had the soup of the day which had large pieces of shrimp and other seafood made us say we will be back once again! Truly a great place for lunch. Didnt think we were in a department store!

Went to NM cafe on a Thursday afternoon without a reservation. We were seated quickly in a nice corner table. The floor to ceiling windows made the space so bright and spacious. Once we were seated, we were given each a soufflé with some strawberry butter. I love when bread is served warm. We also were given chicken consommé in a tiny tea cup. It might be mistaken for actual tea but it was rather delicious. We asked for a pot and it was perfect to sip on. For my entree I had the pot roast which was on a special February menu. I was surprised at how large the portion was. The meat was tender and tasty. The truffle fries were crispy and topped with Parmesan cheese. The service from the host, waiter and busboy was all so kind. Our table was cleared proactively, waters refilled, and continuously checked up on. The cappuccino machine was not working today and our waiter ended up giving us a NM cookie on the way out which was unexpected. It was so good! Would definitely come back whenever I'm shopping at Roosevelt. I would recommend making a reservation on Opentable!

Anthony was my server, and the food was good. That sounds "second grade", but I did not want to bore you with the details.

On a quiet Saturday afternoon, I was looking for a nice new cafe to take the kids for lunch. Searching through Yelp, I found NM Cafe, which seemed to have a lot of pics of good looking food. I entered the address into the GPS and it led me to .... Roosevelt Field Mall??? I wasn't aware of any new cafes in the mall until we finally figured out that NM = Neiman Marcus. This is a cafe on the second floor, hidden in the women's clothing section. Ambience: a nicely decorated upscale cafe. The entrance is inconspicuously hidden in the women's clothing section. Food: we ordered Popover with Strawberry butter - this was amazing. Fluffy like a croissant but firm enough to spread some strawberry butter. 5/5 Chicken Broth - served in a teapot and teacups, this is easily mistaken for tea upon first glance. Excellent flavorful broth. 5/5 Tuna Melt and Fries - tasty comfort food. Crusty toasted bread encasing warmed tuna salad. 4/5 Mandarin Orange Soufflé - an chilled orange flavored "pudding" served with some chicken salad. This would be the goto for someone looking for a "light" lunch. 3/5 Service: Very friendly and inviting servers, but unfortunately understaffed for the volume of diners resulting in long waits.

Popover with a side of bone broth

Our waiter was one of the nicest waiters I've had in a really long time. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and explained the specials in a way that made everything sound delicious. We were serve complimentary popovers with strawberry butter accompanied with bone broth. The popover had a crusty outer layer and the butter made it taste really good. I've never had bone broth before so I can't really speak on it since it wasn't my cup of tea. Although my sangria didn't taste like a traditional sangria, it was still really good nonetheless. It tasted more like red wine and didn't have the traditional fruitiness to it. As of the main dish, the pot roast was definitely a heavy meal to have for lunch. I personally wouldn't recommend for that time of day but it did enjoy it for the most part. The side of mashed potatoes and vegetable were tender and flavorful. The pot roast was tender as well but the flavor it was a bit more on thick gravy side. Overall, I enjoyed my meal with my sister and mom here and honestly the waiter made our experience a good one. Unfortunately I don't recall his name.

Came here on my lunch break while working. The food, service, and ambiance is beyond amazing!! I for sure will come back with friends. I had the shrimp, lump crab, and avocado salad. The food is really next level here!! Anthony was an amazing server. He detailed all the specials and was excellent at explaining all the dishes I had interest in prior to ordering

Coming back here for lunch again. It's a relaxing place that you can enjoy the nice afternoon with your meal here. The bread comes with strawberry butter and chicken broth are so good! Service is great and attentive. Food was delicious too. No complains.

Food and service are on par with any five star restaurant in the neighbourhood. Treat yourself and order the cobbler that comes with ample ice cream and whipped cream!

Stumble across this cute cafe while I was shopping and decided to give it a try - I was not disappointed We ordered the crab pastas and hamburger for 3 people and we were stuffed. The latte and free bread (this is actually our favorite part ) were a delight as well. Our server William was also the sweetest - very helpful with the suggestions and making sure we are doing well. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

Two friends and I had a thoroughly lovely meal here. The service was exceptional as was the food. We felt welcomed and valued. Instead of a breadbasket, each guest is served a delicious popover. This is just one of the small touches that make this cafe a true gem. Definitely worth checking out! This is a must if you need a break from the mall crowds.

I have enjoyed my selections anytime I go here to eat lunch. I have tried their salads and main dishes as well as the truffle fries Yesterday we got served by a very lovely waitress name Heather who was very attentive This cafe is only opened up until 4 on weekdays and 5 on weekends so plan accordingly . I would continue to visit here once a quarter

The restaurant has a beautiful, bright, modern atmosphere that feels much more upscale than its surroundings. Based on other reviews, the standout dishes seemed to be the grilled Spanish octopus and the SB Smash Burger, so I ordered both. Unfortunately, the execution fell short in several areas. The East Coast oysters arrived with mignonette but without horseradish or oyster forks--small details, but noticeable oversights. The oysters, octopus, and burger were all tasty, but the presentation of octopus and burger was surprisingly sloppy, as though little attention had been paid when the dishes left the kitchen. The bar also was understaffed. A single bartender was serving both the bar and the entire dining room, which led to waits for drinks. My bartender was friendly, attentive, and worked hard, but one person simply wasn't enough. I finished with the Key Lime Custard, which had what appeared to be a layer of shredded cereal on the bottom. I wasn't sure what it was. The dessert itself was enjoyable, though I think a base of toasted sliced almonds with a few fried blueberries on top of it would have added better texture and complemented the flavors more effectively. One nice perk is the validated valet parking, for a reduced fee, which makes arriving and leaving especially convenient given the mall location. The whiskey selection could also be improved by adding a few more interesting, off-the-beaten-path single malts or blends. Overall, the kitchen shows promise! And perhaps I came on an off night. With better attention to presentation, appropriate bar staffing, and a more adventurous choice of spirits, Small Batch could deliver an experience that better matches its reputation.

Normally, I don't start a review on a negative but after we left and counting up all the missteps, I felt off. My wife is more forgiving, she liked the Frito Misto and Bolognese. It's hard to believe this was a BBQ spot a few years ago. The glass garage door is still in place, back in the day it was enjoyable during the spring. There's a reason why it's called Sparrow Cocktails. I ordered the Smoked Old Fashioned. Made with Angel's Envy Bourbon and wood smoked chips, this was a great cocktail before dinner. The Frito Misto had a delicate coating, it wasn't overly battered. The green dipping sauce served on the side was bland. It didn't add to the dish and was thin. The Malfalde Bolognese was a hearty portion, we were able to share this large dish between the two of us. Made with beef, veal and pork and simmered in San Marzono tomatoes, this entree satisfies all my pasta cravings. I was looking for some grated cheese, none was offered.. The Back Sea Bass special, IMHO we should have passed. My wife asked about bones and was told they de-bone the fish table side. What was served to us was a fish that was cooked well but was full of small pin bones. We passed on dessert, it was time to go. an expensive meal that doesn't warrant a return visit.

Overall, we found many of the dishes to be overly salty and oily. I ordered the rib sandwich and was disappointed because it wasn't what I expected. I anticipated an actual rib sandwich, but it appeared to be more like shredded beef and didn't have the flavor or texture of ribs. My son ordered the stuff Nutella French Toast and ended up sending them back. The eggs he was served were also quite salty. My daughter did not enjoy her burger, which was unusually thick and difficult to eat as prepared. My wife finished her meal, but she did not find it particularly enjoyable and felt the portion size was too small for the price. I think part of the issue may have been the limited Father's Day brunch menu. Had there been more options available, we might have found dishes that better suited our tastes. Additionally, dessert was not included in the package, which was somewhat disappointing. While the atmosphere and service were definite positives, the food did not meet our expectations. Based on this experience, I'm not sure if I would return.

I got the chicken parmesan and the pappardelle bolognese for dinner, and they absolutely nailed these dishes. An outstanding job on the chicken parmesan; even the most basic of dishes here are surprising. Then for dessert we ordered the olive oil cake, which came with this frothy cream on top, which was definitely worth saving room for. The restaurant has an upscale, sophisticated feel while still being warm and inviting. It's aesthetically pleasing, beautifully maintained, and fastidiously clean, which I really appreciated. The ambiance, service, and food all matched the caliber of the space. We started with the House Bread, which was warm, buttery, soft, and absolutely delicious. Definitely one of those "I should stop eating this so I have room for dinner" situations . We also shared the Fritto Misto with calamari, pesce, artichoke, hot peppers, lemon, and fra diavolo. I even found some nice chunks of fried salmon mixed in. Everything was lightly fried rather than heavily battered or greasy, but still packed with flavor. The fra diavolo on the side complemented it perfectly. For our entrées, we both ordered the $58 Spaghetti with Maine lobster, pecorino, fra diavolo, and basil. SO GOOD! The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce had a nice little kick, and there was a generous amount of lobster throughout. I would absolutely order it again. I had the Espresso Martini, which was delicious, and my partner had the lemonade. His only critique was that it was a little tart, but I actually appreciated that. To me, it tasted freshly squeezed rather than overly sweet, watered down, or packed with sugar. Overall, we had no complaints. The Farm Italy gave us a beautiful anniversary dinner from beginning to end. Upscale atmosphere, immaculate space, great service, delicious food, and portions that felt worth it.
