Love it here - from sandwiches to salads to sushi always delicious. A little pricey but IMO worth it.

Being that I work in Englewood I'm always looking for a good bite to eat around lunch time and this place was suggested to me by a good friend so i took their word and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere in the store is very cool, you can tell they are Italian with all the dried meats and sausages hanging along with the pizza oven rite there on the right as you walk in. They have very friendly staff that are willing to suggest great food options for you if you aren't quite sure what you are looking for. They also have a nice salad bar that you can create exactly what you want, along with the hot section with fresh creations daily. The deli counter is my favorite i love looking at everything they have to offer and I usually go with a roast beef sandwich and fresh mozzarella cheese with lettuce and mayo on a round roll ( to die for). Over all this little gem is like little Italy in a small storefront i love it and P.S.- they have great french fries and Sicilian pizza. I came here for lunch while I was waiting for appt at Ethos Spa across the street that was severely backed up. I had split a margarita pizza slice and an eggplant parm with my mom. They were both very good. I give this place 3 stars bc of the service. First I wanted salad and there was no one at the station to make the salad. Then I went to get eggplant and waited a few minutes for someone to acknowledge me even though there were 3 workers standing right in front of me. Then I got a 2nd piece of eggplant to take home, and the same thing...I was waiting there for at least 5 mins while there were 3 workers at the deli making sandwiches. Another worker said hello and proceeded to ignore the fact that I was waiting for service. Service stinks but the food is good. read more

Their pizza and delivery promptness get a 4, but their Chicken Parm hero has a watery, flavorless sauce. Their Alfredo's mediocre at best. Also I paid nearly $6 for the smallest container of avocado, tomato and red onion salad just for it to taste overwhelmingly like Italian dressing. I like that all of their food was fresh, but you pay for it. They have a tiny eating area, but most of this food is meant to carry out. They have a wide selection of mainly italian dishes, but offer make your own salads, and a soup or two of the day. The servings are fairly big. The underground parking is hard to navigate out of. This place makes for a great grab and go lunch spot. I will be returning. read more

This is one of our lunchtime places even though by the end of the day we most likely have ordered delivery ten times. Chopped salad bar is great, the salads, pastas, pizza are all great...steak sandwich leaves a little to be desired. Just had lunch here - we ordered two paninis & they were left in the cooker too long so they were both burned on the outside & the inside was so hot it burned our mouths it was still steaming 10 minutes after we got them. It also took way to long to make them (hence the thought they forgot them in the panini maker!) - what should have been a quick lunch turned into over an hour! Since were so hungry & were then late for an appointment we ate the part we could (about 1/2 each) as we feared it would take forever to get corrected. Then at the end when we complained to the cashier he just said wow that's bad & still charged us for both in full. We won't be back & I'd think twice before you go. read more

Simply stated, this is some of the best Italian food in all of Englewood! The Godfather sub is a superb blend of meat, fresh mozz, and roasted peppers...in fact, it's so juicy and good, you don't even need mayo or such! Their deli selections are also delicious! I especially love the stuffed hot cherry pepper shooters and their roasted peppers...you can definitely create a wonderful charceuterie with all their offerings! I don't hate this place, but I don't love it either. I work close by and have been here several times for breakfast and lunch. Sometimes, the food is pretty good, but most of the time, I'm not impressed. However, the pizza here was the best I've had in AGES. Their potato salad is barely acceptable, and the sandwiches, although good, are a bit over-priced for what they give you. It's been mostly a hit-or-miss. I've never written a yelp review before, but my experience at this place warrants the first. If only I could choose zero stars... I work at a location very close to the deli, and we order from them several times a week. This morning, we ordered breakfast, as we've done in the past. When the order came, however, it was wrong. We ordered a diet soda, we got regular. We ordered sandwiches with salt & pepper, we got ketchup. I called them to tell them of the problem, simply asking for the items we actually ordered. I was APPALLED at the response I received. I was told that it was my co-worker's fault, and that I was rude for saying that it was 'HIS employee.' Did I mention that he was SCREAMING at me at the time? I actually held the phone away from my ear as I was sitting in my office, and my co-worker, who was standing in the doorway, could clearly hear him. I tried to explain to him that it was a mistake - no matter who made it. And, I just wanted the correct order. This is how I was treated?? I pointed out to him that he knows us - we order from them ALL THE TIME, and couldn't believe that this was how they handled customer service issues.' His response was simply to shout WHAT DO YOU WANT?, before eventually hanging up on me. I'm *still* shocked. I remember years ago, when I worked in Leonia, ordering from their prior location. Again, we ordered from them 3-4 times per week. One day, there was a small bug in someone's salad. It's lettuce - it happens. But, it doesn't mean we wanted to eat it. We called about it, and were basically treated the same way. Obviously, things haven't changed much. This is a family-run business - obviously not a very friendly family, nor one that I want to do business with. We will *not* be returning. read more
