There are different version, of course, since this spicy noodle dish is served not only in Laos, but also in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, and The USA. It is served at 18 Malaysia in Winston, where it is shown on the menu as Malaysia Curry Noodle Soup, and I have eaten this dish at this restaurant quite a few times. The dish as served at So-Sapp is a very nice version, though I prefer the one at 18 Malaysia because of the very flavorful broth, and that you have a number of protein choices, while at So-Sapp it is limited to chicken.
