I always request to use jamoca almond fudge rather than vanilla ice cream because it adds more coffee flavor and I like the bits of almond in my drink. This Baskin Robbins location is conveniently located right off the 73fwy and La Paz in the Stater Brothers Shopping Center by Target. You can enter right off the traffic light and there's plenty of parking. I have ordered custom cakes from here a few times and they always get my order correct and have the cake ready on time. They do a great job decorating it. I also like taking my kids here and they love getting ice cream. It's nice Baskin Robbins still gives samples since many other places used Covid as an excuse not to give samples anymore and never brought them back. I'm not a fan of ice cream myself (oh the horror I know Lol) but my kids and husband love it and they like how the flavors alternate a lot. I grew up on 31 flavors. And honestly I wasnt sure how long the chain would be around. Recently it just didn't offer much when there are options like Handels, South Swell, Dairy Queen, etc. And the staff weren't overwhelmingly welcoming or caring about their jobs. But they have revamped recently and they have hired much better staff which I hope implies they offer better pay and benefits. It's much more of an experience now when I bring my kids. We'll be back. Wife and I stopped by after dinner on 2/14. My wife ordered a single scoop in a cup. I ordered a 2 scoop sundae which also came in a cup. My 2 scoop sundae was smaller in size than her one scoop (by the way the 2 people ahead of us ordered 2 scoop sundaes that were way bigger than mine). We questioned it and the girls working the counter said that you only get kids scoops with a sundae. Seriously??? I've been going to this Baskin Robbins location for a decade or so and never I was disappointed until today. I came in at 9pm of December 19 to buy two quarts hand packed Jamoca. There were two ladies working at that time and the other lady helped me out. She didn't fill in full both quarts especially the other quart, like it's missing a scoop or more to make it full. This is disappointing! You pay for the full price and tip them and yet this is the service you get. Called an hour ahead to check on a birthday cake I ordered a week ago for today and they said oh it will be done closer to 12:45pm at pick up time so I said ok! It was quite warm yesterday so my niece asked us to take her to get some ice cream. She wanted to keep it semi-simple so we opted for Baskin-Robbins. Therefore we visited their nearby location just off of La Paz and Pacific Park. We walked in and my niece said that she wanted a clown cone sundae. They had a limited supply which was to be expected on such a warm day. However, this is where our visit really went downhill. Most of the clown cone sundae containers were open. Some of them seemed to have melted a bit as well. None of their flavors were labeled and some flavors could not be determined based on a visual inspection. Every time that I have stopped by any other Baskin Robbins location, they have clearly labeled the flavors by writing the name on the plastic containers. So my niece said that she wanted to vanilla clown cone but we weren't sure what flavor it really was. It looked like it could have also been macadamia nut ice cream. Therefore, we proceeded to the counter to inquire about the flavor. The young lady that was working behind the counter was very nice but this is part of the really bothered me. I asked what flavor it was and she said that it was either macadamia nut OR vanilla. She asked if it would be alright if she removed the lid to see and I said that I was ok with that. I didn't how she would determine the flavor other than with a visual inspection. The next thing that I knew, she was leaning over the clown cone. Then she got a little spoon and tasted the ice cream. She put the spoon down and turned around and said that it was vanilla flavored ice cream. I don't know if my eyes could have gotten any larger than they already are but I was just completely taken aback. What I've experienced is that other locations would simply make you a new clown cone with the ice cream that you want. If there has ever been any doubt, just make the customer a new one. I have never been to a location in which the product's containers were open, the ice cream had already begun to melt, the product was never labeled, and the employee had to taste the ice cream just to be sure. This was our first and last trip to this location. UPDATE: My husband contacted their corporate office to explain what happened at this location. They said that they'd take a trip down to the Aliso store to see what was going on. We went back on Friday 2/28/17 and saw that they made the appropriate changes. Their clown cone sundaes now have labels on them, identifying their ice cream flavors. They are also properly secured shut each clown cone sundae so that the ice cream won't melt. My experience here was very different than others who wrote here. I ordered a clown cake and it was the cutest with good ice cream proportions. It came out exactly as I wanted and shoutout to the tiny hapa looking worker who was super polite I asked to taste several flavors before I ordered and unlike a lot of other ice cream places, she didn't give me attitude and was patient with me. I also saw the worker make fresh waffle cones and I knew I had to have one. I got cotton candy (MY FAVORITE ICE CREAM EVER) and pistachio. The sour gummy worms were kinda hard at first but they get softer in the ice cream and compliment it very well. This is our go-to ice cream place after we finish our dinner! We love coming here and they always seem to have the ice cream flavors we want when we go there. The guys and gals who work here are courteous, friendly, and funny too! I always like to leave a tip for them just because they entertain me sometimes! My favorite flavor is Lemon Custard (sometimes they have this flavor, sometimes not) and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. The ice cream is typical, but this review is based on the actions of one of their people. My daughter stopped in there after grocery shopping, unloaded her cart, and drove away, leaving her wallet in the cart. She realized this after she got home, and turned around immediately in hopes of retrieving it. In the meantime, I called, hoping that the wallet was still there and that someone in the store would find it. Luckily, I reached Udea, who was kind enough to go outside to check. SHE FOUND IT!! Udea took the wallet inside and kept it safe until my daughter returned to collect it. First off... Wow, Don B. from 2010... that's quite a review... "I am in a rage!", she yelled. And punctuation goes inside the quotation marks, sir. Now, regardless of what may have gone on in 2010... in 2014 this BR location does everything it is supposed to do. Did you want some ice cream? Well, they'll serve it to you. I did not encounter a stocky, short-haired woman working there who was shaking with rage and trying to take my picture with her camera phone - but I did encounter two employees, both male, who seemed happy to be working at BR and got us everything we needed. Our party of three had a hankerin' for some ice cream - not frozen yogurt (which is our usual). We opted to go to Baskin-Robbins... it had been quite a while. A tall, skinny, young man greeted us when we arrived and was glad to provide samples of any flavor we wanted. I tried the Spider-Man flavor - you'll know it when you see it... bright red and blue. Instead, I chose to go with a Reese's peanut butter layered sundae. I'm not sure what happened immediately after my first bite because I was taken to a blissful state of nirvana while savoring the flavors as they streamed across my taste buds. I do recall the place being clean - but not spotless. Actually, one of the two employees was scrubbing the outdoor stone table during our visit. The employees, as I mentioned, seemed to be fine workin' away at their summer job. Their shirts were absolutely covered in ice cream though... which is to be expected, I suppose. The ice cream was grand - and full of delicious calories I miss when I eat yogurt. No mention of the "ten dollar rule" with regard to credit card payment... but our order did come to more than ten dollars. There wasn't any sign posted, however. This place, like all BR locations, is a bit pricey. I mean, my sundae was $7.29. So, overall, four out of five - and no angry rant from me!
