Five stars for Alysia!!! I frequent Baskin-Robbins often. Whenever Alysia is working, she gives the best service, the biggest smiles, and is always so sweet to my five-year-old son. My best friend ordered my birthday cake from here. I'm so used to lackluster service these days. But not here at Baskin-Robbins Millbrae. Alysia went above and beyond to make my birthday cake SUPER SPECIAL!! I had some special requests for the cake. Alysia was so helpful. She noted everything I wanted and made it happen. Um, Easter just past and they now have Halloween ice cream. Aren't we moving a little too quickly? Back to the Spooky Ice Cream, "Spicy and Spooky." It matches its name because it's definitely spicy with a kick of ghostpepper and it's definitely Spooky how horrible this ice cream tastes. It's like someone bottled hot sauce and decided to make ice cream out of it by adding a little vanilla and chocolate. Yeah, that's Spooky. It's also Spooky how half of their ice cream is being thawed out so you can't order it. Aren't you an ice cream shop claiming to have 31 or more flavors? Super convenient location in Millbrae downtown. Frequent here when taking kids to Paris baguette next door on hot days. They offer cute combinations for kids (dolphins, unicorns etc). Icecream is okay. The shop has a small seating area inside. The shop itself needs some TLC though. The checkout machine sometimes is broken. Will be nice to have some cash here just in case. Check out machine sometimes could also be slow. They have limited people working here so line could be long if you get here at the wrong time on a hot day. Service is friendly though. read more

I had a pleasant experience with the staff and my service was excellent and so were our ice creams! We sat at the counter to cool off from the hot day. Unfortunately a very rude customer tainted my visit there, who handled himself with no grace and threatened the staff with poor reviews in front of patrons and his children. I was happy to see the worker stand up to herself to this bully and would like to commend her for staying calm in the moment. We brought it up with the staff and they offered to give us a new one. However considering that it was inside the scoop could mean that the hair got there from the factory. I was surprised to see that this location only has 3 stars. It is usually pretty chill with helpful employees. Today we got yet another ice cream cake of mint chip and chocolate cake. It was as good as always. The woman was kind enough to write Happy Birthday on the side of the cake and made it look super festive. Nice job! Right when I was walking out of the store, my scoops were not put very securely on my cone and they slipped off. I asked the two girls that worked there if it be possible I can get another scoop because I even had tipped them. And they told me it wasn't possible, my friend that I walked in with also works at an ice cream parlor and she was in absolute disbelief. This location is a bit small, but there are plenty of benches outside so if the weather is nice, it's a lot easier to eat your ice cream outdoors. Because it stays open until 10, it's one of the last eateries open in Millbrae, and it's convenient for a quick late-night snack. However, I've had very mixed service when coming in late. These days, I tend to visit the fancy overpriced ice cream parlors in the City and I have gotten used to their less sweet flavor profile. First of the all, the server is not wearing gloves, he handed me the chocolate dipped cones without leaving me anywhere I can grab on except the chocolate dipped portion. The bottom part of the cones are wrapped with paper but he basically grabbed on to 99% of it when handing over to me. What I was able to decipher was "Is that your dog?, Is he a service dog and what training does he have?, You can't be in here with him". There are 2 things wrong with this: #1 I don't believe she has the right to ask if he'a service dog or what he's trained in #2, There's NO SIGNAGE specifying that dogs are not allowed. As we left she proceeded to yell at the girl working that dogs aren't allowed in the store. Terrible manager. --Service Dog Law-- "As a rule, service dogs are allowed to go anywhere that the general public goes. That includes any privately owned businesses that serve the public such as restaurants, hotels, retail stores, taxi's, theaters, concerts, sports facilities, etc. The American Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that businesses allow people with disabilities to bring their service animals onto business premises in whatever areas customers are allowed.
