We were on our way to SFO to pick up my dad from the airport and stopped here for a quick cup of joe. Parking is street parking and we thankfully lucked out and scored a parking space on the same block about 3 stores down from the corner. We arrived around 2:30 and there was no wait. I did learn there was a code to the bathroom, and they graciously gave it to me so I could make one last pitstop before heading to the airport. The coffee was good, and the wait was minimal. The place was clean, even the bathroom. The store is spacious with several tables inside and out to accommodate guest. I really liked the layout. Several people were working on their laptops inside and there were a few groups of people meeting up, but it was mostly single patrons. read more

It's been a while for me to walk into our Starbucks to place the order due to the convenience of the mobile app. It's also a bad thing because you don't get to see the crew there and yet no interaction. Last time I was here, it was really chaotic and the crew was not the same. Today, I'd say after at least 6yrs, I walk into this store and place my order because I have a question about the customization of my drink. I left a review 11yrs ago (I live in the area so this is always my Starbucks) and I see the crew I saw back then. Of course, not the exact same people, but the energy, the vibe, the enthusiasm for the custom service, and the gold standard that always make Starbucks different. I am sitting down here to enjoy my drink and can hear the hustle and bustle but not chaos. Every crew member works together and make sure all customers got the order. I'll give them a generous 4 star cause I have no idea what the local standards are. Points for seating, which seems to have disappeared in most San Francisco stores because they fear their residents. I don't know what it is about Starbucks, but I've never been in one that didn't have a large footprint & badly designed layout. This store has I nice patio with 3 tables in front, off the sidewalk. Inside you walk through the vast empty space except for the weird water bottle display you have to walk around. Maybe it's an interior design feature. There are 3 tables on each wall, and large arty photographs. At the very back is the order counter. The cashier was super friendly, big smile, seemed to be sincere & not on uppers. Maybe highly caffeinated. I'm assuming everyone was a local, only 1 woman staring at her laptop, everyone else was loudly socializing. Loud because the music was even louder. I ordered a Passion Fruit iced tea sans sugar. $3.75. $2 tip. Then a Cheese & Fruit Box. Unlike some Starbucks, the cheese was fresh, the apple wasn't brown, & the grapes weren't sour. Well, Burlingame. By 12:30 on a Monday all the chairs were taken as the store morphs in to Laptop Village. I'm hanging out here while my car gets detailed, there's only one other cafe open. Welcome to Soggy Starbucks. Soggy paper packaging. Soggy straws. I just got a iced drink in a paper cup that is soggy and losing its shape. Capped with a paper lid and paper straw. I am committed to recycling plastic and renewable/reusable product but this is too much. When I travel outside California its wonderful, no soggy starbucks but back home its just too much. This packaging makes it so unappealing. The irony - I watched the associate unpacking all the food items from individually wrapped plastic. I needed a place to work from that didn't require me to pay for parking, and good ol Starbucks was there to fit the bill. I've never been a coffee person but I've startled to dabble a little bit into things outside of a caramel macchiato and I'm liking what I'm tasting. This iced Brown sugar blonde espresso or whatever it's called is hella good. It's one of those drinks that's easy to sip on and doesn't have too much of a bitter coffee flavor which I vibe with. My friend used to work at Starbucks so every time I go, I just have her send me an 'order of the day' so I can try new stuff. Luckily it's through text and I can read it off because I'd have no clue how to order anything. Maybe it's time for me to download the app? That's a road I don't know if i'm ready for lol As for the space itself, it has plenty of seating and really strong wifi. They've got communal table with 12 seats, window seating for another 6 and a handful of 2-top and 4-top tables. Plenty of outlets on the side tables which makes working here easy. i went in early at around 7:20 to order (3) travelers for pickup at 8am. mind you it wasn't busy and they could have done it right then and there but i thought i would give them some time. the manager or supervisor on duty told the person at the register to set an alarm to start at 7:30. i get back at 8:00 and it wasn't ready. they said they were working on the last one and it would be 5 minutes. it was done at 8:11. i asked if it would be possible to get a pair of disposable gloves. just a pair, 2 pieces. the manage/supervisor said no. why? because she said she only has one box left in the back and she told me to go to dollar tree instead. like, really? can't spare 1 pair of gloves. it's too bad because for the most part i like the other staff because they are friendly and nice. i couldn't believe it. refused 1 pair of disposable gloves. wow! read more

I have been coming to this Starbucks for over 9+ years, I used to come almost every morning weekdays and into my weekend. I used to live just a couple of blocks down, I've moved closer to the other locations now and I have to say the service at this Broadway location is Top Notch! My typical order- Venti Iced Coffee, No Classic, splash of non fat milk + Spinach wrap. Nailed it every time! I can be very critical of Starbucks' specially if it's my morning kickstart, I'm usually in a rush and on the go but the staff here has managed to make my days and really just a great experience overall! Savannah and Jenny (I hope I'm not messing up their names) stood out, honestly the entire morning crew really provides consistent above and beyond service. They remember most regulars and remember our drinks. It's mind boggling why this location does not have 5 stars. I tell it how it is! No sugar coating, they are simply the best! Explain to me how I can order one single black coffee on an app at 1:33pm, the app tells me my order is ready in three minutes (1:36pm) and I arrive at 1:42pm to find me order not ready??? This is not the first, second or third time I have ordered something ridiculously easy and yet need to wait for a black coffee. I was a bartender for 15 years and flawlessly made dozens of drinks every 15 minutes and yet I can't get one drink on time. And yet y'all can't tolerate one "f-bomb" uttered in absolute disgust that although more money is demanded for your basic jobs, y'all can't do the job. What am I supposed to tolerate from you??? I've been going to Starbucks for years and have always gotten a welcoming experience from everyone. I came to this Starbucks for the first time because it was on the way to my new job, and it is was the last time I'll ever be going there. I had a great conversation with a barista who was waking drinks, I think her name was Sylvana but while I was waiting for my drink I had the unpleasant experience of speaking with the store manager Briana who was handing off drinks to guests. It had been 10 minutes since I ordered my nitro Cold Brew and I just casually asked her when my drink would be ready and her initial response seemed caring that they were "probably working on it" and a few more minutes went by so I checked back in with her and told her my name and she told me there were no drinks for me. I proceeded to access my Starbucks app to verify and got attitude that "you can't tell from there." And began to question who rung me up and if I actually paid for my purchase. When I finally found the transaction in my Starbucks app I tried showing her and she said "That doesn't tell me anything". At this point it had been almost 20 minutes waiting for a nitro cold brew. She finally decided to ask her co workers if there were any drinks for Taylor and discovered my drink ticket got misplaced and tried to apologize. While I accepted the apology I will never visit this Starbucks again. The level of disrespect I received during this visit was unacceptable. For being a store manager she created an unhealthy atmosphere for myself in front of other customers. DO NOT go to this Starbucks . After a nice brunch in Burlingame, my buddy and I wanted to extend our conversation on took a walk over to Starbucks. It was a spacious location with plenty of seats so we grabbed some drinks and pulled up a seat. I ordered their new cookie frappuccino to try and was told that they were out of the cookie topping so I asked them to put the caramel one on instead. I found the drink to be super sweet and the topping was an odd crispy rice deal. It wasn't my favorite frap ever and I'd probably go with one of the common ones next time. There's lots of seating at this location and service was pretty friendly. It's not a super busy spot, just the way I like it. There's plenty of parking in the area, though the side streets can be kind of annoying to navigate. Overall, a really cool spot and I'll be back. Starbucks on Broadway in Burlingame. I've been a customer since 2017 and regularly pop in to pick up my mobile order with my 10lb pup in tow. The staff regularly offers me a pup cup for my dog. I popped in to pick up my pound of coffee and a tall latte and was asked by one of the managers if my dog was a service dog. I said no and I was told to wait outside and she would bring it to me. I have never been asked this question before. I was a bit shocked and stood in the back. She handed my latte to another staff person to give to me. I understand no dogs unless they are service dogs but she could have said "we are trying to enforce service dogs only, just a heads up for next time, thank you." I am a regular at this location due to my work location, so I come here often. So often that the staff knows me by name. Today I want to give this review as a thank you to those who helped me out - I had ordered from another nearby location but I wasn't able to go to it as I would be late for work. They were kind enough to make me my order and one of the batistas/managers even told me how to get my money back for ordering at the wrong location. I did tip them for the trouble. Don't use their bathrooms for longer than 10 minutes, they'll start threatening you with calling the cops, even if you explain to them you're still using the bathroom. Asked for a restroom code to use the bathroom before ordering, utilized the facilities, got harassed twice by the staff. Upon completing my bathroom endeavors, I was greeted by a Burlingame PD officer, he wanted to make sure I was okay, just like the staff. Because remember, everyone's BM is perfectly timely. I left without purchasing anything after being harassed and embarrassed. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! If I can give this place 0 stars I would. I just had one of the best experiences last week at the Foster City location and one of the worst here at the Broadway. I was on my way out of town, so I was already in a rush to get out. I get to the counter order 3 drinks 1 banana loaf bread, 1 cranberry bliss bar and one cinnamon roll. I started waiting for my drinks. As soon as the barista starts calling out my drinks (some random customer comes and grabs one of my drinks and walks out) so I tell the barista and she's makes me another drink. Finally I get all 3 of my drinks I still don't get the warmed up nana but bread. I ask for it and the Assistant Manager I think her name was Rachel. Goes and checks the toaster area and doesn't see anything the. Goes back and checks the receipts tells me the cashier forgot to ring me for it. I tell her that I do want it. So she rings me up for it but never puts the bread in the toaster. I wait another 5-7 mins(customers that came in way after me get there stuff and leave) and at this point, my drinks are getting cold, my husband is texting me as we are running late. I ask for it again, the assistant Manager says its coming, one of the guys checks the toaster and still nothing there. So he puts one in himself. By this time I'm upset- I've been there over 20 minutes, they mess up my order and don't have the common courtesy to make it right. I'm not asking for anything comped but heck atleast prioritize and get me what I ordered over 20 mins ago. I then ask another barista if I could have the main Managers number as I would like to put in a complaint about the assistant manager. This barista (Asian girl- didn't catch her name) says I can't give you that. I'm like why not?!? I have a complaint about the assistant manager, obv I wouldn't be doing that with you since ur an employee. I'm starting to get furious at this point. He goes, I'm sorry the Managers name is Amanda and has another girl get me the baba a bread right away. I walked off so upset, the worst customer service, they don't give a crap. I was being pretty nice and calm but they really pushed my buttons. And for the Assistant Manager- if you are in Management, you need to be professional- you def are setting a horrible example!! I know this is just another Starbucks chain... I gave such a high rating because they carry a variety of reserve coffee beans AND they serve those roasts. A lot of the Starbucks branches (if they even carry it) only sell the reserve beans by the pound; you can't enjoy a cup of what you're buying. I hate that. I asked for a recommendation, preferably something smooth and told the cashier that I tend to lean towards African blends. The Guatemala Finca Monte David was recommended. Not exactly an African blend but I actually really enjoyed it and got back in line to buy a pound of the beans. Yay my supply at home was dwindling and I wanted to get something new. While we were waiting for the coffee to come out, my coworker pointed out the new clover pour machine which I have never seen before. It was explained by the barista as an upside down french press. If you blindfolded me and told me that the cup of coffee was made via french press or aeropress or pour over or whatever, I would highly likely be unable to tell. Regardless, the clover machine was fun to watch while we waited for our orders. read more
