There were several large drops of spilled ice cream on that counter that had dried they'd been there so long. Really gross. First and last visit to this BR. I like this location it's close to home, sure they have high turnover with employees it's to be expected a very difficult minimum wage job. I was told they were under new management, that's great. Last two times I got here around 8pm. They have been closed. If you're on a break I'm ok with that, leave a note I don't mind waiting. If you had to close for some reason again a note would be nice. If you have changed your hours same thing it is posted on the door you close at 10 as is the web site. I arrived around 8:30 give or take in the time it took to write this 5 people came by. Hooray for Gold Medal Ribbon ice cream! Why? Because I like it and they serve it up well at this Baskin-Robbins. For reals, the ice was delicious. The "creamy vanilla flavored and chocolate ice creams and swirl in a caramel ribbon." (Baskin-Robbins, 2021) are a great combination of flavors and textures. Deep chocolate flavors, creamy vanilla, and sticky caramel simply hit the spot nicely. Although, I had to wait a bit because of previous customers, it was all good. Accessibility: there are a few accessible/disabled parking spots here in the parking lot, but they are down in front of other stores, not in front of this one. There is also a ramp to get onto the sidewalk from there, but again, not in front of this store. The parking lot is also very tightly packed and small, so not the best in general. To enter the store it is a single pull door, very brightly lit inside, and air conditioned of course. There is seating indoor with movable chairs if you need, but no seating outside. Experience: the parking lot is way too small and at night it is kind of dangerous. There was a homeless man standing outside screaming and talking to himself then staring at a mom and two young girls walking by...it was very creepy. Please be safe if you come here at night and always watch your surroundings. Along with this, the store next door to Baskin-Robbins was playing insanely loud opera music outside so it was hard to hear anything else but road noise and very loud opera. Once I got inside it was much nicer than the outside. This store looks very clean and the seating looks comfortable. The employees were nice too. I had a scoop of Triple Mango and Blackberry and they tasted great! read more

Been to this location in person several times and I ordered online today and the experience as far as portions is disappointing.

I only order the Cappuccino Blast (no mochalatta chill as I had previously written). I'd describe it as an understated dessert or slightly extra frappacino (but not as sweet which is a good thing). Still great after all these years... Update- I went in recently and ordered a mochalatta chill. The server was like excuse me? I'm used to repeating myself in the age of masks. Our family of four decided to stop by Baskin Robbins yesterday afternoon after our 5 year old got lab work done. We usually go to Cold Stone, but my boyfriend mentioned how Baskin Robbins have slightly more options. We arrived close to 1:30pm. The place was not busy at all. There was only one employee and the instant we walked in, you could tell he did not want us there. Not even a welcome. Our kids got their ice cream and once my boyfriend got to the register, I asked him to get me a small mangonada. The employee literally rolled his eyes. We paid and I was kind enough to still tip $5 with the assumption that he was having a bad day, which honestly didn't seem to be the case. It literally looked like he despised his job. We sat down so our kids could eat before we get in the car and I told my boyfriend that we need to rush so we can get out of there. Another guest walked in for smoothies and the door didn't completely shut so then it made a nose. He walked over to slam it shut and literally cursed about how annoying it was. The service was shit. That employee was vulgar. The place was very uninviting. The entire experience was so unpleasant that we most likely would never return to any Baskin Robbins. read more

NOSTALGIC CLASSICS It's one of those places you can't dismiss because it's a place your childhood is familiar with. Sometimes that one cold scoop of an old classic, comforts all the troubles away! And it's dangerous this place recently opened in the vicinity of my everyday presence. There's 31 flavors and this ONE is the one. I've tried majority of the flavors of ice cream yet my go-to number uno top pick will always be one of their signatures, Jamoca Almond Fudge. JAMOCA ALMOND FUDGE - the perfect play and mix between coffee, chocolate, and almonds. The ice cream has a nice creamy consistency with the presence of coffee but not an intensifying amount. It's folded in almost marbled with the right portion and thickness of chocolate fudge swirls eluding the mocha flavor to become visually noticeable and tastefully in the palette. At first blending lightly with the coffee flavor and then dissipating it entirely until the next lick. Mentally tucked away in your thoughts you wish the fudge lasted just a bit longer. If and when the portion of ice cream melting in your mouth has crushed roasted almonds, it adds a textural surprise when not expected. Jamoca Almond Fudge, you have not once ever or yet and will never disappoint. Don't ever change! I'll always HIGHLY RECOMMEND you. I've never thought to speak so highly of a simple, classical, single scoop of ice cream. But this is how I've remember this one as a child and well into adulthood. I didn't know the name of fancy waffle cone but saw the picture and asked if I can get what's in the picture. Then in our teens, our boyfriends would take us over there for the Two Scoops Sundae, Banana Split:One of the boys always loved the Triple Treat: 3 ice creams and 3 syrups! I have no idea if the sundaes are labeled the same. But the ice cream, wow! Great flavor, texture and nostalgia all wrapped up into one, right on El Cajon Boulevard, whenever I want. I picked up an ice cream cake from this location's display case and it was incredibly stale. Mind you this cake cost $43.99, so for that price I kind of expect them to make it right. They told me they don't do refunds for their own product that was bad, it wasn't just because I didn't like it. Because we normally love baskin Robbin's ice cream cake. The cake is stale, and we'd have to go through corporate, which I have, and corporate has basically given me the run around that a store manager will call me from their disconnected number. I know it seems petty, but this was pretty expensive for something we barely ended up eating BECAUSE IT WAS BAD! I'm not rich, and almost $45 means something to me. Even a gift card or offering me another cake would've sufficed. I can't believe this company doesn't back up their own product. He sold the place maybe 10-12 months ago and the new owners just don't manage things well. I hadn't been to Baskin Robbins in a while, so flavors have changed slightly, so it was nice that the staff was able to suggest and recommend so personably and easily. Passed by today and they were finally open! Had to go in and get me a sundae. It's their grand opening and everything is set up nicely and clean. Staff is very friendly. They have 36 ice cream flavors! It's located in a shopping center and there is plenty of parking. Glad they're open til 10pm! read more

Arrived at the door tonight at 9:57pm. I realize that was just 3 minutes before closing. The young man working tonight locked the doors just as I pulled in. At first I was denied service flat out stating that his boss said so. Then only when I advised I'd be making this experience known was I asked what I would be purchasing if I were to be let in. I responded I would like a pre-made ice cream cake. He then asked if I needed anything else. I responded I'd like some candles and a lighter. He said he didn't sell lighters. So I said I'd like matches. I would've been fine with this...but there's still a problem...I wonder how the service would've been even after being let in. My conclusion: They turned down $50 in 7 min and a decent tip. How many scoops of ice cream for $50? I bet like most people that manager wants more in wages. So my daughter and I finally decided to get some ice cream here. I asked the female employee for two scoops. All the other 6 times I've been there, I was charged a double-scoop, which is $6,99 + tax. The employee rang me up with charging me $11.92. It took me a few seconds to realize that this was way over the $6.99 deal. I asked her to change it, which of course she had so idea. The manager was there and briefly argued with me that if they gave me two cups, then I should be charged for a single scoop ($5.99 * 2). Are you guys hurting THAT BAD for business that you need to over-charge a dad and his little daughter just because of the cups? He finally refunded me $1.50, which is better than nothing, but seriously what a bad example of how to try to avoid the obvious that if someone wants two scoops, it's YOUR JOB as the employee and the seller. Gee, he's with his daughter. Let me ask him if he wants the double-scoop deal. A little common sense here can go a long way. And maybe we would have be there 31 more times. At least the other employees instantly got it right. It's experiences like this that truly will get me to make sure to grab that extra ice cream at the store. It's not about the money either. What's $3 with today's inflation? Let me give you guys a business tip: asking people if they want the commonly best obvious deal (I'm getting two scoops, most likely a double-scoop deal is what I want; not to be charged for a single scoop....2 times!) New Baskin Robbins on El Cajon Boulevard in North Park. Store is clean, and service is good. Both guys were pretty friendly and gave samples of the flavors. When I walked in, it smelled like fresh baked sugar waffle cones. And the waffle cone did taste so good! When I went on a summer evening, there were about ten people in the store. It would be better if they had a designated line with a rope (like at Coldstone stores), or a number ticket system. Overall, good ice cream, the best waffle cones, and good customer service. read more
