Staff was very patient and friendly. We're had a large icecream order and the employee who assisted me and my family remained friendly and courteous while my young children sampled the ice cream before making a selection. I definitely recommend this location. read more

EXPIRED ICE CREAM. A few months ago I bought a quart of mint chip ice cream only to find out it was expired when I got home Yesterday I went to buy the same thing but this time I checked the expiration date and it was expired. I asked the employee if he can check for a new one. While he checked I curiously started looking at all the other ice creams and expired, expired, expired! I told the employee and he didn't seem to care. In fact he brought out another with an expiration date saying it was "better" I cannot make this up moral of the story CHECK YO ICE CREAM. read more

Ice cream are good can't complain. Sometimes some staff are rude or lack customer service skills. One of the server actually skipped me and helped the person behind me. Not a good location. I asked for a butterfinger 31 below when he gave me my order it was a Heath 31 below. After I told him of the mistake he then proceeded to tell me i was wrong. I opened the cup and pulled a piece of candy out and It was for sure a Heath bar. So he takes me to the container and it says butterfinger and I told him the top was wrong. He says they look different frozen. I've had butterfinger blizzards and 31 belows for my entire life. I looked at him and told him to keep it and walked out. read more

Tried to pay using a Baskin Robbins gift card on my phone and the cashier had no clue how to scan it. Kept insisting I had to pay with my card. She had no clue how to use the scanner and entire staff was not helpful. Train your cashier's. I'm never coming back to this location. read more

Great Baskin Robbins store. A store that actually knows how to make the discontinued Chocolate Blast!! Also their service was very friendly even though they were crazy busy. I am speechless... Tell me if I'm wrong, but isn't ice cream supposed to be cold? The day I visited was super hot. I walk in and it is even hotter than outside! The air conditioner was not on! It is an ice cream store not a sauna! Let's think about who the owners are. Baskin-Robbins is owned by Dunkin' Brands that is "owned by a consortium of private equity companies: Bain Capital, The Carlyle Group and Thomas H. Lee Partners." These companies have billions and billions of dollars! Do you guys think they care about keeping customers happy or their health? Look them up yourself. Will not be back again. My daughter's cake was gorgeous but there was one thing not right with it and the owner immediately, without question, went above and beyond to fix the problem. I go to this location because it's close to my house, but it's dirty and the other person Is right, the AC Is always broken. The staff is rude and unfriendly, and the ice cream is melted in the case, and they mix flavors a lot, which I don't understand how that happens. Again, it's just dirty, go to another location if you can. read more

I love Baskin-Robbins. My favorite flavor is the chocolate. They have,hands-down, the best chocolate flavored ice cream. There is nothing like good old ice cream on a hot summer day. The service was great. They were really busy today but they were quick to get everybody's order out. I got ice cream on a cone and the cones were super fresh. They weren't stale or anything like that. My husband went into get me the ice cream and he by mistake told them that I wanted the ice cream in a cup. When he called me and asked me again, as I waited in the car, I told him I wanted it in a cone. The Young lady at the counter did not get annoyed or upset. She got rid of the ice cream and gave me new scoops on a cone, just like I wanted. The customer service was great and accommodating. We recommend trying out this particular Baskin Robbins read more

(Worst service ever) It was my husbands experience. We have been going there for years with our kids and just a year ago he gave them a nice review. Today my husband went in to get ice cream, we havent been there in a few months. This employee named Till called him a thief and refused to serve him just because of the color of his skin. My husband at first thought he was joking, so he waited in line, when he was next this employee Till asked who is next, my husband said he was , this Till skipped over him and told the other employee not to serve him that he was a thief in front of all the customers, my husband was I rate at this point he let the person behind him go so he can calm down. Again the employee asked who was next And he was going to try and skip over him again my husband said hold up I am next, thats when the employee told him, your actually going to buy something, thats when my husband went off in him, he asked to speak to the manager, he went in to say he was the manager, he said he wanted his name and the other employees name, he refused. At this point the employee tried to flip things knowing he messed up, he asked my husband what he wanted, the only reason my husband placed the order was for me, he knows how much I love ice cream and for the reciept. My husband than told him he was going to write a nice letter to corporate, he asked for his name and the other emplyee's name again they refused, so he paid and got the receipt which he knew would have the store number and the employees name. He said thank you this is all I need read what was on the receipt. My husband the good guy he is, apologized to the customers for the scene, but he couldn't just let somone call him a thief just because. And walked out. Sadly we will never go there again. read more

Seems this location has a pretty bum rap but it's half way correct. The store IS beat up and I can guarantee you that very little has changed since I was an eager kid just barely peeking over the counter to see the barrels of ice cream. There has been no renovation and so the place looks gross, ugly and dated but it IS clean. The back counter areas where items are prepared is always spotless. Flavors are a good mix of classics and new comers. They offer custom cakes and Ice cream cakes for sale in the fridge. Overall it's a good little place for ice cream but not great to hang out. In the summer this place is packed to the brim but it seems that no one really cares how clean the store is or their wait time when they're giving out free ice cream. read more

I bought an ice cream cake today from the frozen section for a birthday and the cake was very below average. Before I bought it I asked the woman working if these cakes were made recently because most of them had freezer burn on them. She assured me they were and when we went to eat the cake, the Oreos on top were stale and soggy and the ice cream seemed old. I'm very disappointed considering I spent a lot on it. read more

Really nice establishment. Loved down the street from them all my life and the service here is always nice and top notch. The area itself is sketchy but that doesn't make it any less quality. Got a waffle cone recently and it tasted a little off, but nothing to really complain about to the staff. I might have just been a bit sick before hand so that may be why it didn't taste right. read more

I ordered a cake for $55 for my nephew and I'm happy to do so because I love my nephew! I got to pick it up the young man greet a me there are 2 people a head of me. Then 3 more people walk in he helps them first and I ask why he said he did not see me standing in front of him and if I was picking up a cake it was my fault for not saying anything sooner! It was a busy day at the store and it was loud so I politely asked the worker to please speak louder and he proceeded to scream at me in an irritated and passive aggressive voice. I was already feeling unwelcome from that experience when I went to pay, a different worker proceeded to argue with me about a coupon I had that was not expired or anything but refused to honor it when they honored the same coupon for the couple in front of us. So once again, I was yelled at and was screamed at to leave. I promise, I was nothing but polite and the staff treated me so poorly. k so check this out ppl i am new to van nuys mmhkay.i ise to live in the hood nope scratch that i was raised in the hood of south central los angeles before all the real gangsta and thugs were clean swooped off the streets and i must ssayy. this.......compared to the baskin robins im use to iiinnn thee hood ppl .this location is by far theeee worst i have ever been to.by the time they got done making my bfs icecream (not even lying)mines was melting on the top.not sure if the guy still works there (i guess he was new) he was an indian guy and it took him forre everrrr to make our icecream also i am not happy bcause the other two guys knew how slow he was while the line was outthedoor instead of helping him(assembly line style)these fools kept letting other customers go before us smh .if you want quality ice cream and mostly service go somewhere else do not waste time here read more
