They stopped carrying gluten free bread and many other stuff at bakery since they opened new branch. Was always my go to before. So upset!

The atmosphere is impressive enough to make you want to some money. Judging by how packed the restaurant was, nobody else seemed worried either. They must be doing something right. The food was outstanding and matched by equally excellent service. Every dish was high quality and beautifully prepared. Of course, I may be a little biased because I didn't have to pay. Food always tastes even better when someone else picks up the bill. My only disappointment was the restroom. For a restaurant at this price point, I expected a little more luxury. There wasn't the urinal ice I've seen at some high-end restaurants, and there were no extra amenities like floss picks, mouthwash, or premium paper towels. One thing to know before you go: they don't accept same-day reservations, so plan ahead. If you're looking to impress someone--whether it's a date, client, or family member--this is the place. Just be prepared... your wallet may not recover as quickly as your taste buds.

Menu was a bit confusing, we weren't sure which item to pick to be able to cook at table. Ended up getting bowls of rice, veggies, and meat. Everything tasted really good, but for a place called "10 Butchers" we were expecting more meat. I would guess that maybe there was as max 2 ounces of meat. Service was great, I'm a sucker for the marketing on the silverware pouch and napkin, and our meal was topped off with a free mini ice cream. It was the perfect amount. Really the only disappointment was the meat portion. I'm not kidding, 2 ounces is being generous.

Great flavors and cooked to perfection - Seafood Pancake - Dumpling Tofu Soup (spicy) - this was not spicy enough for me ... but still yummy - Daeji Bulgogi spicy marinated sliced pork) - also was not as spicy as we'd like ... but still yummy - La Galbi (B.B.Q. beef short ribs) ... these were really flavorful!! - Galbitang (beef rib soup) ... amazing broth and the beef just fell off the bone (perfect for a hangover...lol) Pretty big place... and they have private rooms. Parking is plentiful, but there are lots of signs about car theft.. so be careful. Staff were very attentive in replenishing the banchan. Overall great time! Would I go back? Absolutely!!

It's quite large with many tables and chairs inside, and it's nice and brightly lit. Service was quick and efficient, and they moved us to a larger table after hearing how much we were ordering We definitely overordered and got a seafood pancake to start, the smaller size of bossam, a kimchi tofu soup, and a beef bibimbap. The bossam took a while to come out, and by then we were already pretty full off of the pancake, soup and bibimbap. Service sizes are generous, and this definitely would've been enough for 4+ people to share. There was a great assortment of different banchan - my favorite is the jelly! The pancake was nice and crispy, with a good amount of seafood, the bibimbap had a great amount of crispy rice at the bottom and the tofu soup was comforting and exactly what we were looking for. The bossam had a lot of meat - I kind of wished there was more radish and napa to go with the meat, but it was tender, not too fatty, and satisfying. We had plenty of leftovers to take home. Jang su jang is still a classic staple, and has a delicious offering for almost any korean craving you could want. It's a little pricey, but comparable to other options in the area with consistent quality that makes it worth it in my opinion.

Even the rice cakes were good too. The main thing you should get is the kalbi jjim. If you're indecisive about the cheese, GET IT! My friend had the kalbi jjim without cheese once and regretted it. He said it's more tasty with the cheese on it. Other than the meat, I'm not sure if I would come here for soup. The clear soups I've gotten here are so-so. They lack in flavor and taste very bland-- wasn't worth the money. I highly recommend coming here with a party of three or more. The kalbi jjim and clear soup was enough for my party of five, and we also got purple rice and banchan. We came here on a Monday evening and was able to dine right away at 6:30pm. This place gets busy and we had to leave right after paying because other parties were waiting.

I can see why this place gets busy as it is small inside. It did get pretty busy shortly after we were seated and quite loud. We came strictly for the Kalbijjim and added cheese. Also ordered potstickers I believe. The kalbijjimm did not disappoint and was good portion. I just wish it had more rice cakes. Service was just okay. For some reason, I was really impressed with how they do their to-go containers. They will take the dish back to kitchen and seal it in a container for you. Loved that!

Even without a reservation, we were warmly greeted and quickly added to the waitlist. For a Thursday evening, the restaurant was pleasantly busy and buzzing with energy which is exactly the kind of lively atmosphere we love. There's plenty of parking, and the space itself is spotless, beautifully decorated, and clearly well cared for. The staff were all so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The star of the show was definitely the meat. After trying nearly every Korean BBQ spot in Santa Clara, I can confidently say Chungdam has the best quality in the area. The difference in flavor and texture of the beef is immediately noticeable. It was tender, well-marbled, and full of rich taste. The banchan were outstanding too, especially the raw crab (my absolute favorite). We also loved the steamed egg, japchae, and bibimbap which were all delicious and perfectly executed. Our server, Bryan, took excellent care of us on our first visit and made the whole experience even better. He even told us about a back room that you can reserve for special occasions or even for hosting after work gatherings or dinners with friends We'll definitely be back soon! This was an absolute 10/10!!

We ordered the Signature A set menu for two. This set consisted of: Glass Noodles w/Beef and Mushrooms - really is Japchae, glass noodles stir fried with beef slices, mushrooms and cabbage. A savory, umami dish to start the palate. Selection of Banchan - spring onion pancakes, creamy macaroni, chili crab, cabbage kimchi and seaweed. All very tasty, especially the chili crab (sweet tasting meat). Bibimbap - a full size serving of rice, mixed vegetables, ground beef served in a hot stone bowl with a fried egg on top. My wife who is very picky about bibimbap, said this was very good. Soy Bean Stew - aka beef tofu soup, spicy, hearty and flavorful with tender cubes of beef. Marinated Short Rib - two very good sized rib steak, tender (Wagyu like) and grilled to perfection by the staff. The Signature set really did show off the best of what Chungdam has to offer.

This marks my first day having real Soondae. I had it twice before around the El Camino Koreatown area but it was always too light, cold, no flavor.. But here at JangTu, i found the one i love. It was warm, soft and delectable. Normally i love Jokbal over everything but the Soondae was better than the Jokbal to me. Even then, the Jokbal had good flavor. FYI, we mixed it with the Raboki sauce.... heaven! Great service! Super nice and attentive! Made the experience great! Also got the Octopus Intestine Soup, but i do think personally prefer Gamjatang more. I will come back to get it next time With hot soup and heavy cuts of meat, of course gotta get NangMyeon!
