Went to see the Commodores in concert there, I actually won tickets. First disappointment was no one said we needed to bring chairs ( or pay $5 pet chair - that should be on the ticket- money goes to charity so ok with that). The warm up acts sounded great but when the Commodores came on the base needed to be turned down, this went on for the whole concert- it was bad - I don't understand how this happened. Oh well, we had a great night in spite of everything

Wonderful time this holiday season at Batavia Downs. This is my first experience at this amazing property and I will definitely be back. Customer service was top-notch and from every view, even with snow it was joyful!

We are frequent visitors to Batavia Downs. For many reasons, as I said in my previous review. This last visit was for one of their Friday nite concerts on the racetrack. This one was The Bacon Brothers. Side note, their concerts cost $15, and you get $10 in free play. There's normally a good selection of food trucks/ food stands. Tickets need to be purchased for drinks. You can use them at any other concert if not used the same night. I'm not sure of capacity, but there's everything from picnic tables and chairs you can rent to a VIP seating area or bring your own chair or blanket. Very friendly and helpful employees. 2024-68

Located about 40 mins from Rochester, off NYS thruway exit 48...very close to the exit. The parking lot and entrance are under deep construction. Lots of one way signs, be aware of changing patterns. Opened it n 2005 this smaller gambling place actually has a lot to offer. They say they have almost 850 gaming machines, impressive. Four dining areas, Fortunes, Blue Zone, Clubhouse and Gatsby. Live racing from July through December. Large outside seating area to see the entire track. Hotel on site, with about half the rooms with a track view. Lots of promotions to check out. Make sure to sign up for their players club.

I've never been to the Batavia Downs before,Wasn't sure what to expect... so here's from the start.. Bought tix to see MTB and when I purchased them, I didn't see any opening acts or who they were. It was not clear. Perhaps I wasn't looking in the correct place but it sure was not evident. The parking was plentiful and easy to access. Said doors open at 4pm and they certainly did. Very easy process, there were three lines, everyone moved easily. Plenty of staff to help. Loved the security. Plenty of them! However, the event also said it started at 5pm, it didn't. There was no shaded areas and it was hot hot out. The merchandise vendors, well, their stands were standing but no one to operate them. I'm thinking if the doors open for customers, there should be actual working vendors. The food trucks there, well, they were mehhhhh... so eat before you go. But plenty of alcohol. Too bad I don't drink.... ( maybe I should). Anyways, turned out there wasn't just one opening act, but two. So, for three hours baking in the sun, kinda crappy food, no decent vendors to browse, ( I got bored ) I was ready for the main act. Sun went down, clouds came out, and in the last 45 minutes it rained heavily, but it was still great to see them. All in all, I would go back there, but be more prepared, like calling ahead to see what time the main act starts and show up closer to that time, even if I had to park further away.

Attended a wedding, the abundant staff were really responsive, quick and like service fairies who you barely saw coming and going. The food was delicious, well cooked and a nice presentation. We were gifted $10 vouchers for a lil gamble and there was a band playing downstairs after the wedding dancing ceased.

So much fun for the whole family. We loved placing small bets and everyone being involved in the fun. Kids are limited to certain areas however the indoor and outdoor seating is great. Such a fun afternoon to be had.

There was a Yelp event in Batavia, so my husband and I went early so that we could check out the casino first. I honestly wasn't very excited. I hadn't been here in years, and we did not like it here our first time. They have had a lot of renovations, and it's great now! I was still hesitant in the parking lot, but the inside is much nicer than it looks from the outside. They have lots of the bigger themed digital games, and I loved playing the Friends machine. There's another casino nearby with the Friends game, and it just eats my money! This one I actually won on a few times, I was able to sit and play it for more than 2 minutes without putting tons of money in! That's really all that I'm looking for. I don't need to win a ton of money, but I need some little payouts to at least make it fun and let me keep playing for awhile! We actually both left up, which hasn't happened at a casino in a long time. The trip to Batavia is a little further for us, but it's worth it to be able to win something! This casino isn't as big as some of the others around, but there are plenty of slot machines. I'd definitely go back again.

I came here for dinner at Fortunes and to watch the harness racing and it was a pretty good time! The walk through the casino was pretty short and I didn't notice if they had any tables or just slot machines but overall the place was very clean and every staff member we encountered was beyond friendly! The food at Fortunes was average and I felt they could have provided more food for the cost. And a hotdog at the concessions was $6. Yikes! But overall I did enjoy my experience and look forward to coming back sometime.

Great local small casino. Gaming floor is clean and they are sanitizing between people. Mostly non smoking and there is a room for smoking. Always giving free play and giveaways. Variety of machines and staff is always nice

I'm always out in Irving, or close to it so I decided to take her out here. We ended up getting there roughly around noon, the place was packed with 40+ year old patrons. I couldn't believe how packed the parking lot was. The gaming floor looked promising, and if I had more time I would have definitely explored all of it. Customer service is exceptional here, security was friendly and helped us navigate where she had to go. The lobby is very spacious, they have vending machines and tables right when you walk in. Customer service was giving out popcorn. The whole lobby smelled like buttery goodness. I definitely plan to come back.

Honestly, I understand why it's set up like that. I just do not like it. But decided, I needed to go back to give it a fair shake. So, My BF and I returned, he kept talking about how awesome it was, but I have not been yet. We ventured out again, drivers licenses in hand this time, ready to eat a lot of food. The prime rib was the hands down winner, and is what makes this buffet worth the new price. Especially, since it's all you can eat. If you are going to eat prime rib, this is the place to do it. It was cooked perfectly. Better than any fancy steak house. Probably because it's the center piece of the entire buffet. Our waitress was just so polite, funny, and nice. She was very attentive, on point, and accommodating. My BF likes a glass of milk after his meal, but before he takes his last bite. Something, that is not easy to time when dining out. When he told her that, it was a a joke, he never expects it to work out. But this woman delivered. Very impressive. I tipped her 16.00 on a 62.00 tab, because the Buffett seemed much slower than usual, and I thought she could use some kindness back. It was not very busy, as a result we had a private table, away from others. We both have cancer, and with it being flu season, we agreed to only go if they were not busy. Bingo! Today was the day. I cannot eat enough to make it worth it for my price point. Which I knew going in, but I really wanted to go for my BF. He was super excited about it. Enjoyed it very much and ate 3 huge helping of prime rib. So it's worth it for me to go with him. Plus it makes him so happy. Me personally, I'm a bit of a food snob, there was not much I did like, but what I did like, I really liked. There really isn't anything on the Buffett that I cannot make better myself. They had Lots of prepared foods. Scrambled eggs out of a box, sausage that is something like brown and serve, tasteless sausage gravy. Paper thin bacon. It would probably be faster if I tell you what I enjoyed, besides the prime rib, because that was surprisingly superb. I liked the Korean wings, coffee, pumpkin pancakes, the mini Belgian waffles, which I think is a great idea. Who is going to eat an entire waffle at a buffet? The regular fried chicken was good. Salad and fixings were fantastic. No to the rest of it. The deserts are just like Costco deserts. Same with the appetizers, like the egg rolls, dumplings, French fries were under lights getting cold and not moving. I will only go for my BF, and he only asks Once or twice a year, so I'm fine with it. If you go, go for the prime rib, and the sides like mashed potatoes, gravy, a nice salad, and look at the rest as bonus food. You can't go wrong that way.

That's…read morewhy I came actually - I had driven by twice in the early evening and saw many cars heading into the parking lot. So I thought I should check it out. We saw a few craps tables, a few roulette, and various card game tables, blackjack included but many others as well. And then slots. Many many slots. This is a small casino overall, which can have pros and cons. Pros include easy to get into and out of, a small more intimate environment. Cons include small, not many tables to choose from. The drink servers were visible and it was easy to get water, small bottles, but water was easy. I'm not sure if you pay for alcohol or not. But tips for water are assumed. Smoking is allowed. Including cigars. So from the minute you open your car door to the minute you take a shower later you smell smoke and will smell like it. It did seem many people were not bothered by this. And I grant you all casinos except one I have ever been to allow smoking. So it's the norm. But it did result in us leaving sooner than we might have otherwise. Loosing also helped that departure along though. All in all I enjoy casinos on occasion. I'm not sure I need one in the middle of a city but judging by the crowds many people are quite happy to have this casino. I only hope no one is banking on winning, the odds favor the house always. There is a small place to get a sandwich, gelato, coffee, breakfast and more. Have to say, it looked good and clean but we did not try any food. I can see going back here to kill some time or entertain out of towners. Easy access, close, easy parking, all good. Smoking not as good, would be great to have a smoke free area. 3 stars - it's a-ok. Worth a visit if you like to gamble. Parking was easy and free.
