One of those places when you need to work on your swing and some pizza this is that spot!! We have been coming here on and off for 10 years, and I am never surprised at how many players across the district live here!!! If you go after the hourly ticket deal for $175. You can get 2.5 hours of pire swing time in 15 minutes incriminate. Food deals are priced affordable so you can enjoy food while watching your kiddos put in the work!! So what are you waiting for.....

Shocking that pizza so good can be found hidden off the street behind some batting cages . We as two New Yorkers walked in with low expectations. No way this joint can be serving up real NY style pizza . We were happily surprised. We hear the original owner was an Italian from NYC and that they still use his recipe. They even make the dough in house. This place will be added to my list of best NY style places in LA and certainly one of the few good places in Burbank.

We were in area looking for a batting cage and could not have been better. The lady was so friendly and accommodating. There were people coming and going for pizza. We went ahead to order some and it's really delicious. Plus a pretty decent size for only one size and they have a specials too. If in area will come here again more time to play in arcade area and sit down.

Despite that there are signs that all dogs should be leashed, many dogs are off leash on the paths but seem well behaved. I was happy to note that it seems like everyone picks up after their dogs and the trails are clean. The only negative is there are no bathrooms, so apparently I learned from other hikers that many people use Glendale peak as a bathroom for both 1 and 2. I was able to climb to Glendale peak without touching any of the surroundings but it smells bad there so what the hikers said is definitely true. I wish that the city could do something about this because it's very unsanitary. I'm glad I got to see the view but once it's enough and I will not go back to Glendale peak because of this. Otherwise the rest of Griffith hike is gorgeous and clean and fresh and I look forward to more meetups there. Also be careful, one hiker we past came down out of the hills on an adrenaline rush because he ran into 3 mountain lions, thankfully our group was not going in that direction. There are lots of wildlife and snakes around so keep your eyes open.

It's close to home and offers a lot of activities to do. This park is one of my favorite parks in Studio City. They have recreation areas and can let you sign up for sports/classes that interests you. Recently, I had taken few classes with couple of their teachers/coaches and they are WONDERFUL! Earlier this morning I went to play tennis with one of my friends. Tennis is one of my favorite sports to watch and to play. We don't keep score. We just like to play and have fun. You can walk, jug, people walk their dogs, kids, they have picnic areas and do a lot of kids birthday parties.. or you can just simply sit in silence and enjoy nature, the sunlight and have a good, peaceful time. Private lot parking, or street nearby parking. They are closed on Sundays. Kind of weird, but it's their rules, not mine. That's when people usually spend time with their families. I am not going to dock a star for that since it meets all the other amenities & requirements.

You can take your time looking around even though you have a timed tour as there is a studio tour every 10 minutes. When you're ready for the tour, you go to an auditorium to see a short video about the studio and the history. This is updated with recent films (I saw a relatively different video when I went here 2 years ago). You then ride a long cart with other people in your group and your tour guide drives the cart around the lot. There are stops in different areas in the Warner Bros lot and you go down and walk with the guide. Photo opportunities are there as well. Different film/TV clips are also shown on the cart as you go through these iconic spots seeing how they were used in these films/TV shows which is cool. After this, you go to another studio where a Central Perk Cafe, a museum, and souvenir shop are located. You can take your time here as well. You then proceed to the next part of the tour. If you bought Superman experience, you go there. If not, you then go to spot where there's a Friends' couch and have pictures taken there. Next is the more interactive part where there's Harry Potter sets, some figures of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc. Costumes and cars can be seen here as well. You'll end again where you entered and there's another huge souvenir shop with different toys, shirts, mugs, magnets, key chains, and so much more. Items are cute but can be pricey. Allot 3 hours for the entire experience without the Superman experience (since we did not do that).

They did have other unique things to see like the force perspective and sound effects but that's just it. You exit into a gift shop that is near entirely made of "Friends" souvenirs. You return to the main building for a small DC and Harry Potter section and then straight to the gift shop. I was fairly underwhelmed by it. I expected a bit more in explanation and showing things instead of here's so and so from this show. The museum portion was more of a photo op than anything. I don't think I would return.

Obviously, there was plenty of natural lighting but no evening electric illumination nor was there any music unless someone brought their own. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Joaquin Miller Park was a chill find and was happy to know of another place to casually hang out in the great outdoors with myself, others, or a pet. Because this park is tied to the elementary school next door, I felt the dynamic and usable hours may change when school is back in session such as the park possibly being used for recess or lunch time. Regardless, this was a simple place that the entire neighborhood should be proud and take care of. Sure, it was missing some standard park elements (no tennis courts, too), but it definitely was a nice place to find some shade underneath a tree, relax, and maybe read a book. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $0.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, there was no need for acceptance of my credit card of choice or any funds for that matter... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

It's also where you can see Frank Lloyd Wright architecture in person in the Hollyhock House. The house is very angular, but I can see in the almost sand sculpture-like stone carvings the abstract interpretations of the flower. That being said, I wish there were more hollyhocks on the property or maybe they just weren't in bloom. You're free to take all the photos you want outside, but leading into the house I saw a sign saying "No entry without a ticket beyond this point" as well as an image of a camera with a slash across it. Ironically, though, I've seen people post photos of the interior, so I don't know what the deal is with that. Also, it's supposedly closed on Sunday, but I came on a Sunday and the door was open and people were taking a tour. While looking at Google Maps, I saw that there's another Frank Lloyd Wright building they're working on called Residence A, but as of right now I don't think it's open to the public yet. Since looking at the outside of the Hollyhock House and the sweeping views is relatively quick, you can kill more time looking at the art buildings also on the property. I came when the art gallery was closed, but if you go to the Barnsdall Junior Arts Center, you can see murals and sculptures outside. And I don't know if the stone carvings are original or just recreated to match the Frank Lloyd Wright house, but I saw near the restrooms of the Arts Center stone carvings that you can actually get up close to. I looked up who Barnsdall was and she was an oil baron heiress who hired Frank Lloyd Wright to build the house and then she donated it and the land to the city to be an arts center. She also dedicated it to her father. As for parking, there's 3 areas: The bottom level where you'll have to take the stairs to get up to the main area, but if you drive up further onto Upper Road (turn right at the fork) you can park right up front where the views are, or you can turn left at the fork onto Lower Road and try to find parking by the Arts Center, but there will be signs saying certain areas are reserved for students and staff. I came when classes weren't in session, so I was ok, but even then I still tried to keep my distance from those reserved signs just in case, especially since there's security prowling the grounds. If you're a tourist, I can see the appeal of this place since you can check off a bunch of sites in one go. I live in L.A. and even though I've been here already a few times, at the very least the views don't fail to impress.
