Fantastic for what it is, a great place for families to introduce players to baseball. Safe environment for kids to run around and play in the arcade when not batting. There is a great small room for end of the year baseball parties. The staff is really nice, too. The pizza place is good and reasonably priced. Often I order pizza to go for an easy night after the cage. The few down points are the pitches can be a bit wild and inconsistent but so are 8 year old pitchers. They use batting cage balls so don't take your good bat or else you will end up with dings. read more

This place is so damn busy! I went right after work on a Friday and the place was packed. You really do have to make a reservation if you want a baseball cage. But if you're willing to go for softball, there is usually a cage open and ready. For $6.00 I got 50 pitches. That's more than enough for me to discover that I'm older now and going to pull something. read more

I've been to the cages in Sherman Oaks previously and the one thing this location has on that one is that I wasn't forced to wear a hard hat like I was in a construction zone even though I was in a slow pitch cage! But other than that, i actually prefer the cages in Sherman Oaks. This location seems a lot smaller, a lot older, and seems to have a lot more kids running around while screaming loudly. But I will give them a three-star rating because they get the job done. read more

Good: the kid had fun at the cages, and started getting some good whacks in. Pizza wasn't great but it sufficed. Bad: general rundown feel of the place, including the several busted and broken arcade games inside. Its cool. My daughter plays softball so this is the place to go hit. I've been coming here with her for over 7 years. It's the standard issue place to hit. Nothing special. No issues usually. When then finally started replacing the balls with some new ones, I can't count how many times wEE needed to swing from cage 5 to 4. Anyways...was there last night. Usually go 2 times a week. 15 min hacks. 30.00. Well last night the prices were raised to 25.00 for 15 min. I pay 50.00 for an hour hitting lesson with my Daughter's hitting coach. This is just ridiculous. You lost a customer with that price hike. read more

Never thought that I would be eating lunch here, but it was great! I pass by all the time, heading home from work on Victory blvd. A coworker suggested we come for pizza lunch. The workers were very friendly and helpful. I felt like I was given extra special care. I was sharing a salad and they split it into two generous plates for us. We orders a medium meat lovers pizza to split. Good size for 2. It was delicious New York style thin crust pizza. The toppings were fresh. Cheese was just right. Piping hot when it came to the table. Surprisingly good pizza for a "batting cage" establishment. Above normal service. I definitely recommend if even for just pick up or delivery. read more

Not to be confused with the Bat Cave, the quintessential 80's death rock club, Bat Cade is located in Burbank off Victory. I go to swing at the softballs at low speed to relieve life's great stress. It's a better way to blow off steam than going on a murder spree. "Take that you bastard of a boss you!" THWACK! I took a date here and threw him for a loop when I showed up dressed in couture and heels.I also played air hockey with him and beat the crap out of him. We reserved the Party Room for my daughter's 10th Bday here for 3 hours. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very affordable and you can bring your own food except pizza, you need to order from Central Park Pizza. I will come back for future events. Highly recommended for parties and if you just want to hang out and be At the batting cages. We are very happy with Batcade. My guests were saying it is a cozy family friendly place. read more

We hit a few... dozens of balls, ate a few greasy slices of pizza and that's it--really, what more do you need? This place has it all. The crowd here is eclectic. You have the serious players coming in with their own bat, helmet and gloves. Next to them, you have the outliers trading in their light bat for an even lighter bat, adjusting for a softer pitch. That's alright because this is a fun and welcoming place irregardless of your skill level. And that's pretty cool. read more

This is actually a pretty decent cage. I'm not a big batting cage kind of guy, but I needed to shake the rust off my bat before my company plays in a tournament this Sunday and I haven't swung a bat in almost three years now. It was $20 for half an hour which was good for the three of us to switch out. It wasn't really crowded on a Thursday after work, four o'clock or so. There was plenty of street parking, but they also have a lot in the back, but I couldn't find it, maybe I didn't turn down the correct side street. read more

After several visits, it's about time that I write something for this place. Batting cages seem to be quite rare in LA, and I'm not one to go to those Family Fun Center-ish places where they have a bunch of kids running around with bats and putters and etc. Although a small joint, I would think, Batcade is just perfect. It's simply about hitting the crap out of a baseball/softball, and nothing else. 30 minutes, unlimited balls for $20. Bat and helmet included, although I don't use the helmet. The "cage" itself is a bit small. I don't consider myself to be "big", but the bat ends up hitting the nets on my follow through, like others have mentioned. There's a cage for baseball where you can adjust speeds on the fly, so that one's nice when splitting cage time with someone else. I'm usually on baseball 60mph, just because anything slower tends to drop like an unwanted changeup. Good way to relieve some stress, but beware of sore hands. If you miss the sweet spot on your bat, you'll be aching for a while unless you had batting gloves on. read more

Ok, admittedly, I come here every once in awhile to freshen up my golden softball stroke, but that's only because there are no other batting cages anywhere else. The equipment is poorly maintained, 1 out of 5 times you have to go back inside to complain that the machine ate your token, the staff looks like they want to kill themselves, and definitely don't make the mistake of ordering food here. Great place for a team or just some one on one time with the kiddos. The machines are a bit inconsistent and they do not use real baseballs but the place is family friendly with an arcade and pizza place. The batting area is covered so you are good to go rain or shine. The area is fenced off so it does not get extrememly cold within the cages. I USED to go here all the time for my baseball and softball hitting, but lately, I have been getting discouraged with their customer service. You never get the full amount of time reserved (I timed it, always less), and the last time I went (months ago), it was a little dark inside, so I asked an adult who worked there (the teens who work behind the counter are helpful and friendly) politely if he could turn the sodium lights on located behind the pitching machines, and he refused. No explanation given, no apology. Kind of abrupt. Recommending to my friends to never go there (some already don't). I live nearby but would rather drive farther away to use cages now. read more

Never use your wood bat, my biggest regret is I broke my bat at 80 mph zone. It's pretty cheap there.

I love this place, I'm on two softball teams, and 90% of the time, there are open cages, where you can hit. Whatever you desire, fast pitch baseball, fast-pitch softball, slow pitch softball. Our kids like this place. It combines batting cages with a kina like arcade atmosphere. They also have OK food for the kids, although as you might imagine, it isn't the healthiest for you. Like one other reviewer said, this place doesn't have state-of-the-art cages, and some of the machines are a little wonky, but it's better than most, w/o having to pay a king's ransom. We've been taking our son here for batting practice for over 3 years now. While the speed of the pitches is consistent, the hi/low can vary a little bit. While others have complained about this, we like it because in baseball, real pitches will vary a bit. (Especially for my Little Leaguer). I've always gotten great service here. We usually purchase the $15/15 minutes. The image at the top is a little outdated - it's now $30/30 minutes. So my son will hit for 15 mins, take a break to grab a snack, and then do another 15. If there's ever a problem with a machine, they fix it right away and add more time to your cage for the trouble. What prompted today's review is this: we have a Zepp baseball tracker disc that attaches to my son's bat (cool little device that transmits stats on a person's swing directly to your smartphone). During his hitting today, the little Zepp disc flew off and got lost. At $100 a pop, these aren't cheap. The staff made a great effort to locate it and they eventually did find it for us ! So an extra star for great customer service! read more

I like to come here on Sunday nights because it's open until 10 and there is no one around to judge my batting skills (lack thereof). Also, there are pitches for baseball and softball, all adjustable by height and speed, in one cage. There's typical arcade/family fun center-style food here- pizza and cokes for all! The guys behind the counters are young, keep to themselves, and rarely give people shit. After a stressful week at work (or at home, because maybe your better half/pet/parent/one night stand is driving you insane), there is no better way to let out some steam by driving those balls halfway to hell. read more

This was one of my family's favorite places to go. We had been coming here for the past 15 yrs. This evening we received the worst customer service ever. So disappointing because I work with people daily. We arrived about 8:30 pm and had pizza. My son was hitting for the past 15 minutes when I went to buy him one more token before we left. An older man in his late 40's behind the register was at first not very friendly to the customers in front of me. I asked to buy a token and walk back out, the worker had given the previous customers my son's cage. I went back to the worker and explained the mix up. He basically didn't care and told me "oh well, I put them there." I proceeded to let him know that my son was actually using the cage. He then argued with me and said that my son wasn't using the cage. I couldn't believe what was happening. He was the rudest person I've ever come into contact with. We will never go back and I will make it a point to use social media to make sure nobody has to encounter what we went through tonight. I wish I would have got his name because I work a lot with the cities. Want to let everyone know what an awful person he was. Hopefully nobody ever has to experience this type of service ever. He did mention that he was one of the owners. That's so sad. read more

I have seen a number of negative reviews on here, so I felt the need to leave my own. In short, the batcade is great for parents to bring their kids and especially for little league teams. It reminds me of places in the small town I grew up in. Yes, it's run down. Sorry there's no bottle service here. I don't think the paps will be stalking the entrance. It's a nice, little, family-run place to bring the kids, hit some balls and get some above-average food for a decent price. It cannot compete with Equinox, so if that's what you're looking for, go somewhere else. If you have kids, you'll appreciate it. read more
