Have been wanting to try this place for a while now. Went with a couple of friends in the morning and we decided to order one of each batter up stick and we each got a mimosa flight and requested all the flavors to try. We also got some coffees and a breakfast sandwich to try. This place was really fun! I could see myself coming back here for another fun breakfast gathering with friends. They had so many other options of drinks and food that I would like to go back and try. Every little waffle stick was delicious. I definitely liked the blueberry one and just the basic vanilla one! The mimosa flights were fun, but the bartender poured so much juice or it looked more like a syrup flavoring that unfortunately some of our drinks looked kind of thick like syrup. So I think if you would request lighter juice/syrup flavoring it would be a lot better of a flight. We read they had great biscuits and gravy. I ordered the scramble. Husband had biscuits and gravy. So the biscuit was so hard on the bottom that you couldn't even cut it. So he just ate the dry top portion. The gravy was Luke warm. My scramble it was barely warm. Their home made sausage was good but overpowered everything else on the plate. However they had several waffle options, possibly the waffle dishes are more their forte. Update: 7:30 pm my husband is now going through food poisoning symptoms. I had asked them to heat my gravy as I cannot stand to eat warm food. I like my food served hot. My husband on the other hand just ate his as it was. I am concerned the gravy is what has caused his severe illness this evening. This is all we have ate today so there's no other possibilities except if there is a bug going around with these symptoms. He is pale, white lipped, shaking, and very upset stomach with bathroom issues and needing a bowl by his bed. I hope this review helps restaurants know how important serving hot fresh cooked food is. Quick and fun little brunch stop. I really loved the Lolly Waffles, very fun and tasty. My husband enjoyed his waffle and I had the monte cristo. They serve the jam separate so it doesn't get soggy! There is plenty of indoor seating. It's setup kind of like a food cart, but it's in a building which does have attached free parking. They also have a bar?! Service was prompt and friendly. Let's begin with the Chicken and Waffle which was highly recommended in several reviews. My waffle was cold when I finally got it. I mean not even slightly warm...I couldn't even get the butter to melt. I took it back and explained to the server preparing the waffles that my waffle was cold and asked if it could be warmed up. Instead of an apology...she told me I would have to wait...she was busy. Seriously??? She finally asked another employee to microwave the waffle. Now my Belgium waffle is no longer crisp..but soft like the frozen variety. The fried chicken although nicely seasoned was slightly burnt. My husband ordered the Country Fried Steak and eggs. Wow, don't sleep on this place! Waffle sandwiches were DELICIOUS! It was my first time here so I got the MVP with hash browns and 3 Lolly Waffles while mom got the MVP but with waffle fries. The sandwich was SO GOOD! The waffle was fluffy and soft with lots of warm, gooey, melted cheese everywhere. Baconsausage patty was great too but what I really enjoyed was the syrup they provided for dipping. It elevated each bite into the stratosphere. My favorite was the cinnamon because it tasted fairly close to a cinnamon roll! The pizza was tasty as it was filled with a generous amount of cheese. Think of it like a softer version of a mozzarella stick. They also included some marinara sauce for dipping which was great. My only bit of criticism for the pizza flavor is that I wished there were mini pepperonis inside it as well! The chocolate was decent and tasted close to a soft chocolate muffin/cupcake on a stick! The MVP sandwich was good and well seasoned, but the waffles on a stick were disappointing. Each of them were undercooked to the point that they were pretty raw in the middle. They were also not super flavorful. I think all of the waffles, including those on the MVP, could have been cooked longer. I still gave 4 stars because the experience was fun and the service is good. The best part of our visit was that they have punch cards and give double punches on rainy days! So we got 4 punches for our order. We walked up to the counter and were able to order almost immediately; however, we had to wait a looooong time for our food. Over 20 minutes for 3 waffles and chicken thigh. Some customers seemed to have really long waits, while some families ordered after us but got their waffles before we did. Not sure if they were short-staffed or if it was just an off day for them. They were lacking flavor. The type of cheese used was cheesy but was mild in flavor- missing seasoning and flavor. They come with marinara sauce and I think that's a poor attempt in trying to add flavor. I decided to order online which was a mistake since the estimated wait time was around 40 minutes, but when i brought it to their attention they quickly started on my order which was nice.
