Terrible, rude cocky fatso guy at the desk. I have 6 collector cars, I'm 66 and do most my own work. I know what needs done. This clown,, I pick up the car and it's leaning heavily to one side. he says the rear leaf broke. No it f'ing didn't. The shackle had flipped over on one side, I jacked it up and twisted it back to the correct position. a crow bar fixed it. the alignment? Just awful. Don't bother. read more

Downright disrespectful, gave attitude when starting payment process. Left my keys inside my vehicle with the windows down and gate unlocked wide open. Also noticed another vehicle with blown gaskets sitting in the parking lot running non stop for 20 minutes, damaging another customers vehicle which lines up with other customers reviews about damaged or neglected vehicles. read more

Came in thinking I needed brakes after being told so by the dealer at my previous service. Examined my car and told me they measured plenty of pad left and no need to get replacement pads. I will continue to have my cars serviced by Mark at Baughman & Turner. They are amazing. Took my car in due to a major oil leak. The car is a Volvo, so first off typically expensive to work on and always requires a special tool to fix it. Well this was the case for our car, but not a problem for Mark. He ordered the special tool and got my car up and running. When we had this oil leak, it went everywhere. Not only did he clean/degrease the engine and get rid of all the oil, but he cleaned the back of my car where the oil flew up and got all over the window. Drove my car home only to find that coolant was leaking; oh yeah, yet another issue. Took the car back to Baughman & Turner and Mike was amazing. Even though it was a different problem that arose at the same time as the oil leak, Mark took care of me, and I mean he was very gracious with how he handled this situation. The short story, I brought my Isuzu Trooper in to have the front axle boots replaced and they broke my Anti Lock Brake (ABS) system. The ABS dash light was NOT on when I brought it in but their technicians noticed it was on AFTER they completed replacing the axle boots. After trying to fix the ABS dash light being on (including replacing an ABS wheel sensor they said they "may" have broken) they told me to pick it up (with the ABS dash light still on) saying they wouldn't try fixing the problem any further with used ABS modules (which is all they could find), printing on the receipt "TRACE PROBLEM TO ABS MODULE NOT COMMUNICATING, NEEDS ABS MODULE ALL POWER AND GROUND CIRCUITS GOOD." After spending hundreds of dollars including replacing the ABS module (per their recommendation) with a tested and warrantied used module (which is the best I could find) and trying 3 other repair shops over the last 2 months to fix the problem with still no success (consensus is it was caused by an electrical problem, maybe a short - see details below). After all the hassle, time, and money spent on this, I don't know where to go from here to get it fixed. All I know is, if I get in an accident due to braking, I know who I am going to sue first. Here's the details: 5/11/21 Brought Isuzu Trooper in to have front axle boots replaced (which they said they do all the time). 5/18/21 Picked up Trooper with axles and axle boots replaced, ABS dash light on (see above for how it played out). 5/25/21 Took Trooper to my regular mechanic who I trusted, this was the first date they could fit me in (the reason I didn't take it here first was because I was going on a 1 1/2 week camping trip when I noticed one of the front axle boots was torn and they didn't have time to repair it before I planned to leave so I took it to Baughman & Turner Automotive who said they could, needless to say I never went on that camping trip). They verified they couldn't communicate with the ABS module. They noted the ABS module connector locking mechanism had been broken and was "fixed" using a tie strap. They said they couldn't find an ABS module through their usual contacts but said they would install it if I could find one. 5/29/21 Picked up Trooper from my regular mechanic and began looking for an ABS module. 6/8/21 After spending considerable time researching and searching for an ABS module I found a used module which had been tested and came with a 1 year warranty and purchased it. 6/15/21 ABS module I purchased arrived. 6/16/21 Contacted my regular mechanic that I had found a tested used ABS module but they couldn't work on it because he was going on vacation and to bring it in on 6/25/21. 6/25/21 Brought Trooper into my regular mechanic with used ABS module I had purchased. They said they couldn't communicate with this one either. He said the problem probably was with the connector or wires going into the connector. He didn't have the time to continue diagnosing the problem via the connector and wiring bundle. Picked up Trooper 6/26/21, ABS dash light still on. 7/2/21 After researching ABS module problems further tried reading the ABS error codes by jumpering pins 4 and 12 on the Diagnostic Link Connector (DLC) (ABS dash light flashes error codes when the key is turned to ON position). ABS dash light just stayed solid (further indicating non communicating ABS module). 7/7/21 Took Trooper to another auto repair shop recommended by a trusted friend for finding electrical problems. They were actually able to communicate with the ABS module with one of the scanners they had. They said it dumped a lot of error codes (10+) which usually indicates an electrical issue. They said when they see that many error codes they don't usually work on it because it takes to long and too much effort to try to figure out the actual problem. They recommended a shop in Orange that they send people with hard to diagnose problems, they were the best, if they can't figure it out, give up. Picked up Trooper 7/10/21. 7/12/21 Contacted last ditch effort brake shop recommended above. They were so busy with custom hot rod brake installations and converting drum to disk brakes on vintage cars that they couldn't get to my issues. I'll keep looking for a shop to fix this problem but it looks like for now the journey ends here. Thanks for nothing Baughman & Turner Automotive... read more

DO NOT GO HERE I came to get a valve adjustment, in which they replace the oil cover gasket. 2 months later I had an oil leak, which they didn't even offer to look at. So I went to another shop, and it was the oil cover gasket that needed to be replaced. I tried talking to them to see what we can do about this since it was obviously their fault, and they wanted nothing to do with this. I filed a complaint against them with the BAR, and THEY LIED TO THEM. Told them I refused to leave my car there, when I told them I was free all day and was going on a road trip that week so I needed a reliable car. Such an irresponsible shop. Never had worst customer service or car maintenance. If you like your car and respect yourself, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

Needed a neighborhood hand with a torque on my wheels after replacing my tire. The man at the front desk was very angry and unhelpful. He also told me to shoo off cause he didn't have time for me. I recommend going to Terry's automotive instead, the management and mechanics were much more pleasant and responsive. After being told by the local Ford dealership in Buena Park if I brought my car in on Friday they would not even be able to get to it until next week, I called Baughman & Turner and spoke with Mark who said be here when we open on Friday and we will get you taken care of. I only have a couple of days in which I could get a ride and be without a car due to work so I could not wait for weeks as the other dealership offered. I was called by 10:00 am with what they found was wrong with my car and by 1:30 pm my car was ready for pick up. Prices and work were spot on. Support local small business. This auto repair shop does fine repairs. However, their customer service can be lacking especially when dealing with women. My husband & I have been coming here here for the past couple of years, the repairs so far have been good. As a woman I have dealt with unpleasant disrespectful cranky interactions with the owner/manager, my husband on the other hand has never experienced negativity from said person. This last week was especially unpleasant which prompted me to write this review. I would've given this shop two stars but as I said their repair work has been efficient and reliable. read more

I started taking my car to them for maintenance. They do such a great job I now take all three cars we own to them. They never try to get you to do unnecessary work or repairs unlike the Acura dealership I used to go to. The are really convenient if you take the train to LA because you can drop it off in the morning and it is ready when you get off the train to go home. I would highly recommend them. read more

Do not go to this auto repair shop!! Poor customer service, Mark the owner was not easy to deal with. Charged a lot of money & the car still had the same problem it came in with. Took it back within days, he had it 3 days & said he could not find the problem. Then we took it to the dealer they found & fixed the problem. So what he did and we payed for was incorrect & did not need that sort of work, i.e. he will not do quality work. Stay clear of this establishment. read more

Day before I was taking my 2010 Ford Escape for a oil change the drivers side rear window motor died and left the window in the open position. When I got to Mark's on Friday am. He said he would check around for a window motor. He called me right away and installed. Changed oil and replaced leaking rear shocks. Thanks Mark for getting the job done in one day. I took my 2004 F-150 with 200k miles in for a misfire. Mark said he would check it over with his computer. He then explained three different options. Get you back on the road (cheap). His recommendation (mid range). And he added a third option after talking with me about how long I wanted to keep the truck (expensive).
