Not a great picture, but their burger was delicious! I got the Baxter burger I'm pretty sure. Did not like the mushrooms on the top, so I picked it off. People there are friendly!

Handy to the Doubletree Tulsa Downtown. Clean with good service. Many menu choices. Salmon was only fair. Soup was good. Fajitas were above average.

The food is weird, the service is slow, the ambiance is straight out of 1994. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day in this place.

A hidden gem! They have pretty good food. I've tried the honey pepper bacon burger and scissortail turkey sandwich so far, and both were delicious!

Props to Cathy B. https://www.yelp.com/user_details?userid=UJa_TdvLS4eBVWOjHEAA4Q for her post "For a case of the Monday's" https://www.yelp.com/topic/tulsa-for-a-case-of-the-mondays in the Tulsa talk threads because while I didn't have a case of those Monday's, I was all in for an inexpensive burger. Baxter's is suffering only from being too big for its location by about three times. Sure, it was a Monday evening but it was rather quiet tonight with only me and five other people while I was there. Bummer because a burger this good deserves a larger crowd. The burger? Solid. Served with smoked cheddar and a honey cured pepper bacon. A good portion of bacon on an eight ounce burger patty (that's a half pound!) with a toasted bun and the usual lettuce, pickles, tomato slices. I opted to sub out the fries for cole slaw (hooray, keto) but forgot to tell my waitress to hold the bun. Sorry to waste it, folks! Warm and friendly service, a nice comfortable place that I could see being a regular joint, and a very inexpensive burger. $6.99 plus the beer? That's a bargain. Best steak I've had in a long time. The sirloin melted like butter. All the other orders came out very well also

Energetic atmosphere, almost like a sports bar, but with quality food. They do a nice job with private parties as well.

For my starter I ordered "Our Nice Little Salad" this beauty was crisp, fresh, and had tomatoes that popped in your mouth and bursted with flavor. The in-house croutons had that perfect buttery crunch, spiced pecans added a unique boldness and the homemade ranch was thick and creamy. I will say I had to ask three times for ranch. I just kept waiting. For our main courses we had the bone-in pork chop. Thick, juicy, and properly rested paired with red mashed potatoes.... Which were very good. The seasonal corn - was gone so quick! It was just so delicious. Ate that right up!! The shrimp scampi leaned heavily into garlic and butter in the best possible way. Shrimp were big, tender and juicy. Unfortunately my rotisserie chicken.... was very dry. I kept choking because of that. I was unable to eat it, that was disappointing. As far as atmosphere... very warm lighting, intimate feels, candle lit, steady energy, attentive staff. The dining room hums with laughter and happy customers... but without overtaking the conversation at our table. The volume was comfortable considering it was a full house.

Service was spot on throughout the entire night. We started with the deviled eggs, half plain and half Chef's Choice. The Chef's Choice were the best, drizzled with chili crisp (or pickled Szechuan peppercorns) and topped with a tiny gherkin and fresh dill. The soup of the day was a cabbage and radish soup. It was interesting and very homey but I wish I had ordered the salad. I had the Novarro Farm sweet Potato Gnocchi (kale and pecan pesto, Birch Bottom Farm Georgia candy roaster, fresh chevre). I was a little hesitant about the kale pesto but should NOT have been. This dish was delicious--great garlic flavor. Would order again. The burger looked amazing and while The Hubs said it was good, he also said it needed some more spice. They had a couple of rotating beers from Heirloom--a Mexican Lager and an Italian Pilsner. I had the Water Lily cocktail, their take on an Aviation. Order it just because it's beautiful (and refreshing). The photo does not depict the deep color of it. I asked what other gin based cocktails they had on their menu. They didn't but the server/bartender offered to make me a Bee's Knees for the second round. It was delicious! The atmosphere here is casual but the food is elevated. I kept thinking this is what a French bistro would be like inside. I want to come back and shop the market. Oh, and the apple pie was excellent as well!

It was good then & it was good now. I went with the 8 Piece Nuggies & Fries combo with 2 sauces: Nuggie & Sticky Icky. I went with sweet potato fries instead of the curly. Super good, the blend of seasonings were sweet & salty and you get more than plenty of fries (you might be able to share with someone IF you ever wanted to). Just like there were plenty of fries, getting an order bigger than 8 nuggets would've had me stuffed. Looking at the nuggets, I had to count because it seemed like more than 8. They were a nice size & to my surprise, I had sauce left (I even dipped my fries) after I finished. Light & crispy, taste good without sauce (dill pickle brined for 24 hours). I really really liked the Sticky Icky, it's Asian inspired & has a slight sweet and sour taste to it. The Nuggie sauce is something I'll get as one of my sauces no matter what other sauce I get as my second. This spot is part of the Wellstown Brewing brewery downstairs. The gentleman who took my order was super nice & the wait on my food didn't take long at all. I gotta come back to try their chicken sandwich & their Doughnugs.

I ordered apricot iced tea, the vegan fried chicken sandwich, and pineapple upside-down cake. I don't normally like chicken sandwiches that much, but this was really good. And the highlight was getting to choose any of the salads on the menu as the side salad that comes with it. I had the hearts of palm salad with vegan cheese instead of the usual parmesan. It was delicious! I also got to try the cauliflower wings and a bite of the Korean BBQ tofu sandwich. I liked that sandwich too, but not as much. I do like the way they fried the tofu, but it seemed different than what was described on the menu. It seemed just deep fried, but not battered. My only complaint is the layout of the building and the lack of directional signage. I didn't park in the parking lot, so I didn't know to enter from the back and I ended up on a long confusing walk both outside and inside the building before I finally reached the dining room.

Magnificent king salmon..... Read on…read more... The warmest greet, not just hostess but the server as well I was initially disappointed with their small wine by the glass selection But I went with a great Bordeaux blend that was fantastic the king salmon: Skin on very, very juicy loved it The sauce, asparagus, and crushed pistachio? Drizzle was both complicated and mild enough to not overwhelm the delicate king salmon. Thanks to this chef for not ruining a great piece of seafood with overly strong flavors . I was very impressed. I actually consumed the king salmon as slow as I could to prolong my enjoyment of how good it was. Tomato buratta crostini Mediocre to poor. I'd pass. Way you much cake like bread. The picture in Yelp shows more accoutrements. Mine was sparse on the arugula and tomato. Initial impressions were it is so loud in here I wouldn't be able to have a conversation with anybody and I was glad I was solo It'd be very difficult place to bring a date and want a meaningful conversation without raising your voice Still a 5 star experience based on the magnificent cook The chefs design of a delicate king salmon plate with mild yet complicated drizzle and asparagus was eye watering. Beautiful plating on top of it all. 6 stars!!

We weren't greeted by any hostess. The bar was full but the bartender said he had a little alcove for us (perfect for four) that was open--we just had to order drinks at the bar. So, our two guys stood and stood and stood. They finally split up and stood at separate ends of the bar to see who could get waited on first. One waitress, who I know was doing restaurant table service, was just standing there showing pics on her phone to a customer. We finally got our drinks but they forgot one. We then had someone check in on us finally!! Oh, and they were out of all of the craft draft beer--including their signature one. We ended up doing one more round. In fact, at one point, we were just going to go to the rooftop. Sadly, this made us not even want to come back to try the food. People in the know said that they were super short handed and needed a lot more help. The interior is great and I love the decor though. They put a lot of work into this space.
