Bay Deli is a staple in our community. They have the freshest and tastiest sandwiches in my opinion. Definitely call in your order and pick up for faster service or you'll be waiting in line for awhile. Was working in Huntington the other day and had our lunch break over at Bay Deli, which has a good selection of sandwiches and a nice, young staff working there. I was looking for a chicken cutlet type sandwich and one of the girls recommended I get "The Slacker" which is a popular sandwich there. Chicken Cutlet, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo, Cheese, and Hot Sauce (Nice touch) on a Poppy Roll, and it was a really decent lunch. Not fantastic over the moon incredible, but a solid choice with some ice tea. Nice service, good selection, curbside pickup and call to order before you get there. read more

I sent my 11 year old into this deli to get some sandwich's. I guess ripping off a small child was too tempting. They made him a ham and cheese with only 2 slices of ham and 1 slice of cheese. Shame on you Bay Dell for taking advantage. Update they said it was a accident. I guess they slipped and fell and arm could only pull on the meat slicer 2 times. Add insult to situation, adults who got sandwiches at same time had normal amounts . So I guess they only rip off 11 year olds. read more

Organized and choreographed chaos. On a Labor Day weekend these folks had it together! So many people either in line to order or waiting to pick up, as much as it seemed haphazard, it was totally cool. People came and went and no one got upset. Everyone was served in order and the food was delicious. I had a sandwich and the mad Russian had a chicken wrap. Both came out exactly as ordered and tasted great. Kudos to the staff behind the counter on such a busy day for being warm friendly and otherwise awesome. The customers could figure out what was what- we all wanted to eat and it was extremely busy. I miss Bay Deli all the time. In addition to being the cheapest, theirs are the best egg sandwiches ever. Really - runny, soft, amazing bites in every sandwich. There's no seating (there's barely even standing room most mornings), but everyone just wants to get back outside and eat as soon as humanly possible anyway. I know I do. I would go back to Huntington right now just for a two-egg sandwich with cheese, salt, and pepper. Sometimes potatoes too, but only sometimes. read more

Always a staple for a quick breakfast sandwich. Staff is great with making sure everyone is being helped. Waits aren't too long. If you call ahead they're great with having it ready for you when you arrive. Lots of employees available on weekends when it's busy. Coffee and breakfast is always consistently good. read more

Gotta give this place the highest of rankings. Since I was a little kid I've been coming here to get a fresh egg sandwich and a half and half. I don't think I've ever left disappointed - they do something special with their eggs that I haven't yet figure out - its like the Bay Deli secret sauce for eggs. Whatever it is it is brilliant. They consistently serve up some of the best egg sandwiches to this day. I've also had delicious roast beef and other cold cut sandwiches here. Oh man. This place. Never before have other reviewers been so right. The BEC is cheesy goodness with crispy bacon and the Arnold Palmer is awesome. Hangover... see ya! This is one of those Huntington cult places where the line is almost always out the door and everyone is wearing sweatpants... and for good reason. You can get what is possibly the best deli-style egg sandwich in the afternoon. It is a pretty simple place with no seating and basic counter, but the food is great. I spent a good few years riding my motorcycle the long way through Huntington Bay to get breakfast in the afternoon only to ride the long way back. If you're visiting (and especially if you are not from lower New York), this is a must try. Remember if the "deli" is connected to a gas station, it isn't a real "deli". Good half and half, but not better than cold spring harbor deli. But still good food. Downsides are that they don't take credit cards (probably for tax evasion purposes), and they do not have the collection of store made salads, whether they be antipasto, potato salad, etc., that most New York delis seem to have. read more
