Just heard about this recently and I was in the area visiting some friends, so I was intrigued with this place as I was craving poke. Customer service: It was really great and I didn't have any issues with the whole process of ordering and watching my bowl get created. I think the person was really friendly and was able to answer my questions really well. Food: I love that you get three scoops rather than two scoops. Usually with two scoops, my rice to fish ratio is off and I'm always left with just rice. I thoroughly enjoyed my fish and the additional toppings. This place had a lot of different add ons I don't usually see at the poke places I usually go to such as the drizzles or the fried onions. This place is just average for poke. The portions are inconsistent so depending on the day you will receive a large amount of meat or just a lot of toppings. Just a personal preference, I don't like that the jalapeños aren't freshly cut; they're more pickled jalapeños. The fish isn't exactly fresh but it's not bad either. I would say their tuna is better than their salmon. If you want poke, this will fulfill your craving. If you're trying to try a new place to make your go-to or if you wanna show off the Foods of Irvine, this isn't the place. read more

Ordered online and walked straight to the register to pay and pick up! Everything was correct and we liked that the fish chunks were much bigger than normal poke places. Also liked the separate container for the toppings so my salad wasn't soggy by the time I got home. The portions were generous and it was more than enough. Ordered two large bowls with rice online for pickup. Picked up my two large bowls and headed a city away to have dinner with the wife. Lo and behold...there was no rice at all in the bottom of both containers. They separate the fish and the rice when you order to-go. Took a photo and emailed them - no reply. Never too late! On Thursday night at 7:55 we entered Bay Poke and they said we're closed so we were sad as we wanted Poke and they said you know what come on in we will make it for you! So we excitedly ordered our make your own poke bowls. I had salmon, and spiced tuna and tuna with brown rice along with all the garnishes. There were so many to chose from. I loved the seaweed salad on top but the best part was I got to add toasted sesame seeds and toasted onions as my topping so when you ate it you got crunch along with the creaminess of the fish. It was fresh and delightful and I ate every bit! My husband ordered the large and he also ate all of his. Will definitely return! read more

We order from this place on Postmates 2x a week for the past month - our bowls come delicious and filled to the brim! Way better than any other poke place! We ordered at 7:30pm tonight to find out the employees turned off the app early - despite the restaurant is open til 8pm. I love this place so much that we decided to drive to the restaurant to get our bowls. The young, 18 year old guy behind the counter was so rude to me and my friends! He was in a hurry to get out - said they were out of avocado and rice...pretty sure that he didn't want get rice from the back. He filled my bowl halfway up too...like seriously? I'm a regular here and this bowl was pathetic! He even turned away other people when they arrived at 7:58. Best POKE ever. Great selection of proteins and additions. Brown rice was nutty and perfectly cooked. Mixed greens were nice. Sauce choices were terrific. Had teriyaki ahi, octopus and their calamari salad with the ginger dressing plus a splash of sesame oil. Probably the worst poke bowl I've ever had, and I never had a bad one until today. The fish did not taste fresh at all. I noticed because I didn't get any sauce in my bowl. They offer 2 different steps with sauces so they can mask the old taste of the fish. Don't get the sauce and see for yourself. They also charge extra for avocado - not many poke places do - it usually comes with it. If you want excellent poke in Irvine, go to Pokenoya. It's cheaper and of much higher quality. read more

The 3 stars is for poor service. You're able to order ahead online so that's a plus. However, I got there and even though there's no clear signs or directions for online orders, I figured the line that was formed was for ppl ordering there, which it was. So I proceeded to the cashier counter and stood a little to the left of the line of in store customers who were paying. I was still standing basically in front of the cashier. There was absolutely no acknowledgement of me standing there, not even in between in store customers. If it wasnt for one guy letting the cashier know he could take my order, Im not sure how much longer it could have gone on like that. Anyway, the food was good. I got shrimp and tofu as my proteins with a whole grip of toppings, plus avocado (which is an extra charge). My large bowl came out to $13. I wish the rice was hot and not as hard, but other than that, it was good. read more

Definitely gonna come back here a lot. Usually most poke places have ok quality of raw fish, but this place has pretty fresh protein choices. And you can't really tastes the fishyness, which is good. On top of that, they have some of the amazing sauces I've ever had such as spicy ponzu, go-chu-jang, and eel sauce. Should also try masago and tobiko. They are pretty unique. read more
