I had an appointment with Bay Services to clean the exhaust hood and vent in my kitchen. When the technician came out it turns out that there had been a misunderstanding and they don't actually do that work. The technician was kind enough to go up on the roof of the house and inspect the vent and take aphoto so that I could see that the cleaning that I thought I needed wasn't neccesary ! That sort of customer service , especially since they weren't going to benefit in any finacial way, is above and beyond . I needed to contact Bay Services to return as the chimney cap/spark arrestor was rattling noisily in the wind. When I contacted Tomas, he was quick to respond and agreed to send the same tech Alex who installed it. Such great customer service and quick communication back. Alex offered to come by in an hour. That's really great response time. Alex looked at the chimney and the spark arrestor he installed. He said the surface it was installed on is uneven. he also took a photo of it and showed us. He offered to cushion the bottom so it no longer rattled. We were very happy with the creative, quick fix, the fast response time. He was very gracious and told us to let him know if there are any further issues. His manager, Tomas also said the same thing. I am very impressed with Bay Services ! I was very impressed with the help I received from Bay Services for my clogged dryer duct. From the beginning of my search on Yelp, I was very happy with the quick response I received from Thomas in setting up an appointment for a tech to come help with my issue. The next day Riz came to help. He was punctual to our appointment window and helpful in letting me know when he would arrive. Got straight to business of cleaning the chimney thoroughly and vacuuming all the soot that was coming off. After quick communications, they went down to our crawl space to check and found broken pipes. They replaced the old pipes with new ones, reattached everything, and cleaned out the accumulated dust in the crawling space. They also helped us replacing the deformed dryer pipe. After all the work, Eric and Allen explained to us that our dryer duct had several turns that can easily build up dust inside, and that whoever work on it in the future need to be extra cautious and careful. They were efficient, knowledgeable and pleasant. My dryer vent is only about 12" long and runs horizontally from the dryer through the exterior wall so it's a very straight forward set up that doesn't generate much build up.
